The Bianconeri first-team coach has been sentenced to two and a half years in jail for knocking down and killing two women in his car on New Year's Eve 2011

Juventus first-team coach Massimo Carrera has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison on two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The 49-year-old, who stood in for Antonio Conte during his ban for failing to report match-fixing, was found guilty of knocking down and killing two 23-year-old girls on New Year's Eve 2011.

The court decided that Carrera had more than enough time to see the girls and avoid hitting them while driving along the A4 highway between Dalmine and Bergamo.

And the former Italy international will spend the next 30 months behind bars for the crime.

Carrera started the season in charge of the Old Lady but when Angelo Alessio's ban ended, he took the reins until the completion of Conte's suspension.

Carrera represented the likes of Bari, Juve, Atalanta and Napoli during his playing career and joined the Turin giants' backroom staff in 2011.

He's President of UEFA. He's not going to come out and say it's 31. Otherwise there would be questions asked as to why the President of UEFA is claiming Juve has 31 scudetti, yet he's not taking any measures to investigate the matter.

You guys should start a write in campaign, "Come on, at least 20 have to be legit."

Gets the point across that while you have cheated you'd still be the rightful league leader in Scudetti. Think on it. If you guys don't like that one i have a few more, but i doubt you'll find them more palatable.

Doesn't need to be 4-2-3-1, but I do believe it to be essential for Juve to have the option of changing to a four-man defence if they are to do better in Europe.

3-5-2, to my mind, just doesn't work against a team who play with two wide players, and most good teams do at the moment.

I think a 4-2-3-1 suits Giovinco, Giach, Pepe, and possibly even Vooch better than a 3-5-2. That is if they're still with us come the start of next season.

It may suit them more, but I think Pepe is the only one of those first three that I'd really trust to play on the wing in a big game against a tough opponent.

Yeah, Lulic is good.

Would be a very useful player for Juve because he could also play as a wing-back and allow Juve some flexibility during games.

Lazio can easily change between three and four at the back because of Lulic and Radu being able to play a couple of roles.

Juve have Chiellini to move between left centre-back and left back, but lack the player in front of him who is comfortable at both left wingback and left wing.

Yeah, especially if you consider his work-rate and the work-rate of Lichtsteiner, Pepe, Asamoah and Vidal. These type of players allow us to dictate the tempo of the games, as well as provide us with the much needed versatility (especially in terms of our back-line), which you mentioned.

And I don't see Diamanti as a winger. I'm not sure he has the pace needed to be the type of winger we would need him to be in Europe. He can play either in the middle, or as a supporting striker, but I see him as one of the very few pure trquartisti that we've seen in a while. In serie A i think we can get by with him at the wing, but In europe not so much. Plus he just came out and said he wants to stay at Bologna anyway.

Racist abuse in Juve youth match

Juventus fans aimed racist chants at Mario Balotelli during a Primavera youth team match against Chievo.

A few Bianconeri supporters have consistently insulted Balotelli, even when they were not playing Milan.

This latest incident is particularly serious, as the racist abuse was heard during a game between teenage players.

It was the Final Eight of the Primavera tournament, which saw Juve beaten 2-1 by Chievo.

Youth academy director Gianluca Pessotto had to walk over to the stands in order to calm the situation and beg for them to stop after the referee halted play as a warning.

The official protocol in Italy is for the referee to stop play for a few minutes and let a message be read over the tannoy system warning the game will be abandoned if racist chants continue.

This news comes after a survey showed Juventus supporters notched up more fines than any other Serie A club this season.

Their misbehaviour cost a total €327,000 for the club, whereas Siena were the best fans with just a €3,000 fine.

Vidal asks for Juventus No 10

Arturo Vidal wants to wear the Juventus No 10 jersey next season, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The shirt hasn’t been used in Turin since Alessandro The Waterboy left the Old Lady in the summer of 2012 at the end of his contract.

There were suggestions that the returning Sebastian Giovinco would be given the number, but he ultimately opted for the No 12 instead.

Sky are today claiming that the South American midfielder has asked the club to give him the 10 for the next campaign.

Vidal, who joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen, has worn the No 22 and No 23 jerseys since his arrival.

If The Waterboy is the standard we use for whether a player deserves to wear #10, then no one is ever going to deserve it. If we would have used Baggio or Platini as the standard when The Waterboy was assigned #10, he would've never got it. I don't think it's fair to compare current players to legends and their achievements.

If Vidal is up for the responsibility that comes with wearing that number, then I say we give it to him. Out of all the players on the team including any potential summer signings, he deserves it the most.

I'm not that into worrying about numbers. So long as the player who takes it isn't going to find it a burden, I don't really mind.

I agree with what you say about comparisons. If you are going to get stuck on those then you'd be better off retiring certain numbers like some clubs do.

I got tickets to both Juve games in Cali over the summer! Pretty excited about seeing them, especially since the second is likely going to be against Real Madrid.
