I expected yesterday's heavy defeat. A team without any motivation in with a disastrous physical condition against one of the most in-form sides of the Serie A. I'm glad this season is over. I am 35 years old and this season was by far the worst I have seen. If I remember correctly we had placed worst sometime in the early 90s (just one position above relegation) but that year we had lifted the UEFA cup.

Now is the time for Moratti do decide who deserves to stay and who does not - and I am not only referring to players here. I hoe that Moratti wakes up and shows some determination. He has been too good with everyone. Now it is the time to change. He also has to show some determination on the transfer market ... we cannot afford to do what we have done in the last 2 years. Wait for the last day to then buy 4-5 rejects on the last day. We had players like Lucas in our hands but we lost them because we waited too much (we could not afford 20m for Lucas ... its just bad luck that we still spent more than 20m on Parriera + Silvestre + Kuzmanovic).

As an off topic .... last week we were discussing Falcao's move to Monaco. Was watching A. Madrid win the cup on Friday against Real and was thinking ... how greedy can a player be to leave such a club, with such a superb support, a club which has won trophies in the last years to go to ... Monaco. Still beats me!

Serie A: in aumento le presenze negli stadi, +6.2% rispetto al 2011/12. Inter miglior media-spettatori in casa (46.551). Maggior incremento di presenze casalinghe per Fiorentina (+19.8%), Bologna (+11.3%) e Roma (+10.9%).

Chiusura con il segno positivo per la massima serie. Al termine della stagione la media presenza delle squadre di Serie A (24.655) registra un incremento del 6.2% rispetto il dato finale dello scorso campionato (23.214). Si tratta del primo risultato positivo nelle ultime cinque stagioni disputate. I precedenti dati infatti risultano tutti con segno negativo: -4.4% rispetto al 2008/09, -3.6% rispetto al 2009/10, -1% rispetto al 2010/11. Segno positivo, invece, emerge dal confronto con il dato finale del campionato 2007/08 (+3.2%).

Cambio al vertice per media-presenze negli incontri casalinghi: il miglior risultato lo ottiene il pubblico interista (46.551 spettatori, +3.9 rispetto al 2011/12), seguono i cugini rossoneri (43.651 spettatori, -10.9% rispetto la scorsa stagione) ed il pubblico romanista (40.179,+10.9% rispetto il campionato 2011/12). Seguono Napoli (39.808, -0.4% rispetto al 2011/12) ed i campioni d’Italia della Juventus (38.600, +2.8%).

La Fiorentina (25.665) registra il maggior incremento per media-presenze casalinghe (+19.8%) rispetto la passata stagione (21.412). Seguono nell’ordine Bologna (+11.3%) e Roma (+10.9%). Inversione di tendenza, invece, per Catania (-9.9%), Parma (-6.6%), Genoa (-5.5%), Palermo (-4.8%) e Lazio (-1.3%). Pressoché invariato il dato finale dell’Atalanta.

I campioni d’Italia della Juventus risultano essere la compagine a richiamare il maggior numero di presenze di tifosi avversari: con i bianconeri in campo si è registrato il miglior dato stagionale a Bergamo, Bologna, Catania, Milano (Inter e Milan), Napoli, Parma, Roma, Siena, Udine.

$3m is a lot of money. over the course of a 5 year contract, that's an extra $15m.

you'll persuade your conscience that it's in a 'growing' team (ie, monaco), a team with ambitious ambitions.

and many of these players come from not-so-affluent backgrounds, money talks. i can't blame them either. they won't make anywhere near that amount once they finish playing, so they have less than 10 years to make the most money they can.

I can't blame them entirely and I don't know that I wouldn't do the same thing (particularly if it came with the chance to live in Monaco).

It's just something I wonder about.

Moratti: 'Nobody knows...'

Inter President Massimo Moratti left Andrea Stramaccioni and Walter Mazzarri hanging. “Nobody knows what I’ve got in mind.”

The patron spoke briefly to Sky Sport Italia this evening after reports he was going to sack Stramaccioni tonight to bring in Mazzarri from Napoli.

“I talked to Stramaccioni and he was worried. He wanted to leave Coverciano,” explained Moratti.

“I told him he should stay there and relax. Nobody at Inter knows what I’ve got in mind.”

Strama is at the Coverciano camp to sit his official coaching exam now that the Inter season has concluded.

Moratti’s statement doesn’t clarify what the situation is, as he does not reassure Stramaccioni his job is safe, nor mention Mazzarri.

It is believed Tuesday will be a crucial day for the Nerazzurri.

There don't seem to be a lot of options available in the coaches department. There is Simone, but I don't think he will feel this is the right time to leave Atletico. Mourinho and Mancini are not in our salary scale. Spaletti would be a good choice, will he leave Zenit?

Did I miss anyone available?
