This below should reveal a lot about Marrazzi's future. Unplanned conferenza stampa tomorrow, which they're saying is to discuss his future. Perhaps strange if he were to announce he's leaving before the last game of the season (ironically v us), but perhaps he just wants to make it clear why he's leaving and that he needs a new challenge or whatever and so say goodbye at the San Paulo on Sunday. Or perhaps he announcing he's staying in typical dramatic Napolese fashion and wants to win the scudetto next season. We shall see.

I'm not mad about Mazzarri, but if its a straight choice between him and Allegri its Mazzarri all the way. I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want Allegri, there are lots of people on twitter and other message boards actually hoping we get him. Seriously like. Him and his shit, negative, dull defensive football can fuck off.

allegri, as dull as his teams can be, is a proven manager, something which your team is screaming for at the moment. and he'd be a better bet over luis enrique and zeman. and he has the balls to play youth team players whenever he feels like it.

I reckon you're right, mk; I'm not sure he's ever been quite given the right players at Bilan, either, to make his style a bit more attractive. After all, he does play with three up top, he likes to get his fullbacks forward, and he does ask for runners from the midfield - not your standard recipe for stodgy, defensive football.

Our squad at the moment is stronger than Bilan's - and look what Zeman managed to do with it.

I know we like to go back and forth about Zeman and much of it is in good fun. I didn't care for the way he handled himself or his comments.

The results themselves were just about the same as LE and AA's and he wasn't afforded the time that LE was. I'm not sad to see him go but he's no more to "blame" than AA or LE and perhaps less to blame than some of the players and management.

Say what you want about him, he brought out the best in our best player and helped Lamela and Florenzi.

In the end he essentially did what we all thought he would do. Be controversial, lead the league in scoring, have a horrible defense. If we win the Coppa he deserves some of the credit for that as well.

Still he was a massive dick for his comments about Juve and DDR.

Poissonally, I believe we have the second-best squad in Italy. LE showed he had no balls for the fight, but he could at least genuinely claim to have been trying to implement something extravagantly new; besides he had half the squad Zedonk had. Had LE stayed and this season garnered the number of points we have I'd have considered him a massive failure. I bet he would have done much better, though.

Well he asked for Cote if you recall and he was awful.

At CD he had Juan and Nico. When Juan was healthy he was as effective as Marcos.

Anyway, i think Lazio and Fiorentina are as improved as we are. Napoli are the same (which is to say better than either version of us) and Udinese find a way to win.

We have a chance to get 6 more points than last year and that's with AA tracking the same as Zeman. Plus no reason to believe Roma wouldn't have improved in relation to those clubs with steady managers and squads.

Anyway i'm done with it. We're all making a lot of assumptions at this point. It is, what it is but Zeman wasn't the train wreck he's been made out by some on here. At least not in my opinion.

i hate to drag this on, dcg, but zeman's team was certainly, definitely, 100% a train-wreck towards the end. he had 2 points in his final 5 games. his last one vs. cagliari was one of the worst matches I've seen us play at the olimpico.

totti put it best, i think: "if all of the players had believed in the coach and given 100%, we would have seen a different roma."
