What do you lot make of the idea of a Guarin-Inler swap deal?

Would make sense for Napoli because - with the form of Dzemaili in the last few months - they seem to have decided they want more of a mobile box-to-box type rather than Inler to play with Behrami.

Wouldn't see it as a good move for Inter because I don't think Inler and Kovacic are really compatible, with both of them primarily wanting to occupy the space in front of the defence. Same reason that Juve pulled out of a deal to sign Inler from Udinese when they got Pirlo - choosing to sign Vidal instead.

That swap deal sounds like pure mercato madness nonsense. Can't see why either club, or player, would want to do that.

Here's one for all you Interisti, does anyone have any inkling or suspicion that with all the talk of Mourinho returning to an old club of his and "somewhere where he feels loved", that it may not be Chelski like everyone is thinking, but Inter? I know he said he'll definitely return to england in the future, but he never said when, and we know he only likes short cycles at his club, so he's plenty of time to go there. A return to Inter for Mou, anyone?

I think that Moratti's idea of having a club that can be self-sufficient is the way to go. I wouldn't like to see a foreign investor taking over inter to be the next PSG, Monaco, Anzhi or Man City ... been there, done that (in the later 90s when Moratti took over the club). I dream of an Inter following on what German clubs do ... but to do so Moratti needs to surround himself with the right people. Having said that, I think that the culture and current financial fiasco in Italy does not help either. I forgot exactly on how much Bayern M. and Borussia Dort make from selling original shirt ... but it was a lot. In Italy you still get dozens of sellers selling fake Inter / Milan shirts out of San Siro every single match.

Report: Mazzarri has Inter deal

Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri has already signed a contract with Inter, according to the latest reports.

The Partenopei boss will hold a Press conference at midday today UK time in which he is expected to reveal his decision.

He has refused to comment on whether he’ll extend his Napoli contract – which expires next month – or go elsewhere until the season has concluded.

This morning Radio Radio claimed an extraordinary exclusive, suggesting Mazzarri signed a contract with Inter on Friday.

He would bring his full staff with him to San Siro and have control over transfer strategy.

Inter failed to qualify for Europe for the first time in 14 years and need to rebuild over the summer, with or without current Coach Andrea Stramaccioni.

Mazzarri had also been linked with Roma, but reports suggest that job is going to Milan’s Massimiliano Allegri.

There was talk mid way through the season that he was going to take over and a deal had been done but then it all went quiet with Moratti constantly backing Strama.

Seriously, who would come to this Inter if they were in charge of a Napoli squad with the likes of Cavani and Hamsik?
