How ridiculous is it they still havent confirmed a kick-off time for the Coppa final. Only in Italy. Moving it the Monday evening is a terrible idea.
Coppa Italia Final delay / Saturday April 27 2013
It is reported the decision on when to play the Coppa Italia Final Roma-Lazio will not be made until late next week. The match was due to be on Sunday May 26 at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico.
Over the last few days there have been several meetings between the clubs, the Lega Serie A, Italian Olympic Committee and local authorities to work out a plan.
The police and local prefecture do not want to allow an evening kick-off in the wake of recent crowd problems outside the Olimpico ahead of the Rome Derby.
There is also the issue of the local elections in Rome on Sunday May 26. There are currently two options thought to be the favourites – Sunday May 26 at an earlier time or the evening of Monday May 27.
So who thinks what about Eusebio Di Francesco's work at Sassuolo? He was good at Pescara and then terrible at Lecce. But it's some achievement to get Sassuolo up to Serie A. I'd recommend watching highlights of a game or two, cus they have a great style and can actually defend well, too.
That said, I can't see them being anything but a massive failure at the top level. Too small. And the town's tiny and they actually have to play their games in Modena instead. Every game of their's I've seen has been almost empty.
Not sure about Di Francesco. I always like to see ex-players and ex-romanisti return to the club (although i know Di Francesco isnt Roman), and wouldn't mind too much if he was given a shot, but much like Giuseppe Giannini, I don't know if he has enough experience at top level management for the job. His only Serie A experience with Lecce didn't go to well. He probably needs a couple of seasons of doing a steady job in Serie A, whether with Sassuolo or another club.
Talk of Ancelotti leaving PSG at the end of the season, , saying that nothing is decided, but I think its looking more and more likely he will leave them. I think he could be a good bet, he's said enough times he wants to come back to Roma, the time could now be right, our management need to get a strong candidate and finally get it right, so could go for him. He'd be good, I'd certainly prefer him over Allegri or Mazzari, but not above Spalletti or even Montella.
Stek injured with a thigh strain, looks like Lobont will start ahead of Goicoechea. If true almost certainly the end of Goi's Roma's career.
Destro is suspended, Marcos, Marquinhos and Dodo are all injured, while Osvaldo, Florenzi and Tachtsidis all had fitness concerns and weren't training regularly the last few days. Osvaldo and Florenzi still both expected to start, in more advance positions. This won't be an easy game.
Roma-Siena: la probabile formazione dei quotidiani. Scelte obbligate in quasi tutti i reparti http://www.forzaroma.info / domenica 28 aprile 2013 10:58
Sulle fasce spazio a Torosidis-Balzaretti.
I don't think montella's gonna happen. I'm actually afraid it might never happen, at least not for years. If he gets Champions league with fiorentina, he'll stay surely. Them if he leaves them next year, I'd hope we wouldn't be looking for yet another coach. So if he gets a big job, it could be a long time before he's on the roma bench.
Spal's unlikely too, so my realistic preferences would be mazzarri and Ancelotti.
I would have had AA there too, maybe, but I'm losing faith. Those comments about borussia were just dumb. Cheap, headline tactic. If he admired them so much he should have said so when he took over (if he did, I didn't see). Off to Olimpico now. Lovely sunny day.
One thing that has to be said for EdiF (gio loves his state-owned enterprises) - he sure got Luis Enrique's Roma playing well (fluently and incisively) in Rome and not many can say that.
Osvaldo's probably the best goal scoring touch we've had in awhile...... he's so clinical with his shooting but he's also clinical with his shit-stirring. if he wasn't such an egocentric headcase, we would be so lethal. im glad he's scoring again though, it at least lightens his mood. he could probably score our way into winning for the rest of the season
Actually, Pocari, I don't think he's all that much of a head-case; I suspect he just has a bit more intelligence and a bit more character than most of these bland, dumb cardboard cut-out footballers who've never had a chance to realise there are other things out there than kicking a football. As for the booing - would one expect better from the resident Romanisti? Lord knows they've proven their collective ejicy often enough over the years.
I'm not sure I would use the word intelligent when referring to Osvaldo. My personal opinion is that he is a lazy player in general. Very lazy and a lousy teammate. I think you need to give the Roma fans a break, Tomasso. They see him as an individual who does not put in the necessary effort every time he plays. Roma fans view this as disloyalty to the team, the shirt, the city and the fans. Therefore, what do you want these fans to do. They pay good money to watch these games live and they expect the player to give his best effort every week. The fact that he put 3 in the net today does not change the opinion of him. I am sure many of our fans today said, yeah, sure, where have you been all season. We're not going to kiss your ass because you had a good game against suck ass competition. Once Roma fans turn on you, that is it. He will never gain their respect.
Does it really feel like he scored 15 goals this season. It seems like those gol were not very significant in the big scheme of things.

Thought it one of Bradley's tidier performances. He didn't seem to turn the ball over and his mind was moving faster than normal.
As for Ozvaldo, I agree he'd probably be a more interesting dinner guest than some but who cares. He is pouty and lazy. He's punched teens in the locker room and isn't one I hope our youngins' emulate.
Osvaldo done very well today and took his chances well and had a good all-round game. Nevertheless, you can't deny he remains an extremely frustrating character. Be it with looking lazy at times to a bad temper and getting sent-off a lot, suspect commitment to the jersey, fighting with teammates, not being present to watch games when he's suspended or injured (on a weekend away in London for the Roma derby; tweeting about a Rolling Stones concert when he missed another game earlier in season, forget which one), being late back from holidays, and just a general piss poor stroppy attitude all round, its certainly not good when you put it all together, and you can't help but wonder if he's worth all the trouble. I don't know if he'll leave or not, and I don't know if I like him as a striker or want him to stay, but he is an bit of a dope to be sure.
Give him credit though that he does seem to get on well enough with all his teammates and there doesn't seem to be any problems or issues there (even with Lamela). That is perhaps a more telling way to grasp his situation than any whistles which may come from Colly and co.
Anyway, nice win and great performance, but I still can't help but wonder why we couldn't produce a display like this last week against Pescara. Inconsistency remains a big issue, as ever, from the mentality of the team and the approach we take to games, to the way the team is set-up and constant changes in formation.
“Ci voleva proprio una partita come quella di oggi, era da tempo che mancava una nostra vittoria così netta sul piano del risultato e contro il Siena abbiamo fatto il nostro dovere.
Adesso entreremo nel mese decisivo: testa a Firenze da subito perché quello contro i viola sarà uno scontro fondamentale per il nostro finale di stagione. Non mancano molti incontri e vanno affrontati tutti con personalità e spirito di sacrificio”
The 'trouble' he's been is comically over-stated. The blame for his London trip over the derby week lies with the club more than with anyone else (could you find a better instance of lack of leadership?); that he didn't want to go to Florida on some insanely trivial jaunt because he wanted to concentrate on getting over the injury/sickness that was troubling him is hardly to be held against him; fighting with Lamela wasn't clever but could also just as easily be read as a function of the two men's desires to do well and, anyway, was a young man's mistake - lord knows Totti made a few of those in his time. The anti-Osvaldo cliches are dull and dumb. I'll leave you guys to roll out the party line, though; personally, I simply don't buy the shite line that's being peddled. Lazy? What, compared to a player like Vucinic? Give me a break. Or compared with Destro (whom, of course, I also rate highly)? Or Pazzini? I bet plenty of the fans who booed him today whistled Perrotta when he had a poor touch or misplaced a pass or missed a chance four or five years ago.
I would also venture to suggest that pretty much everything that I've seen coming out of the spogliatoio suggests he is anything but a lousy team-mate. Totti's evident affection and respect for him is only the most conspicuous instance.
