Agreed on AA Collie. I liked what he had to say about being torn on wether to keep him or not and the Ranieri thing. Is he simply the anti-Zeman? AA and ZZ afterall?

Agree with both Gio and Collie on this one. Destro seems to have a much higher ceiling and be far more dynamic. I never see Borini able to lead a line as a Prima Punta. Plus his name is too close to Burini.

I'll give him marks for Loyalty to Roma in what he's said since he's left us though.

Certainly. He seems like a good lad and I'm sure he'll make an ok player. He's very good at what he does, but what he does is somewhat limited. If his pace gets affected by injury or age, he'll be far less effective. Destro, in my eyes, has a lot of potential. It could of course all go to shit, but I have to say I love watching him.

For a limited time, cus I want to take it out of my dropbox. I don't like pirating stuff, but I paid for the DVD and you guys all live far away, so it's not really that bad. I think. Probably.

It'll eventually make up a 5-disc collection of all of Totti's goals and a lot of talk about him I suppose. I have guests visiting, so I haven't had a chance to watch it myself. Follow the link and you should be able to download.

Collie and DCG, you both express good points. I could never see Borini as a prima punta. He always struck me as a wing forward, who should be thriving at Liverfekkin'wankscum were it not for his injuries. His injuries as so easy to write off in hindsight, but I would like to believe that he may have had a different season with us. Regardless, I wish him all the best and he was a delight to watch in our colours

It is a bit unfair to harp on Destro coming back from injury, but I thought he looked fit all game. He had good movement off the ball for the team to play him in. The team itself gave him such poor service though, simply lobbing long balls. I thought he could've done much more with it but he seemed to want to drift out wide a lot when the ball came his way (reminiscent of Vucinic). He has the physique to play post against Ranocchia/Samuel but those were some poor touches in the first half. Some plays I hoped he 1-touched the ball back to a midfielder so that he could move into the box, but no. He will grow to be better than Osvaldo though, who is a problem to himself

1 and 2 are only the credits, Edzo, so I just left 'em out. There's one file about an hour long, that's the main one, and then there are two small ones. As I said, my ma's here so I haven't watched it all yet. But it's good stuff. More to come next week.

It appears ol' Pirlo was approached by Roma when his contract was up but he didn't trust the Americans, who he felt were vague on the project.

Little did he know, it's not that they were trying to be vague. They just didn't know if they wanted him to play Wide Receiver or Quarterback.

It's back to the battle for European qualification for Roma this weekend after their midweek Coppa Italia exploits as they host Pescara on Sunday afternoon.

On paper the outcome should be straightforward, as Roma sit in fifth place while Pescara languish in 20th place, seven points adrift of 19th and coming into the match with just one point from the last 13 games. But Roma have often had problems adjusting their mental approach for teams in the lower end of the table. Palermo had gone 16 games without winning until Roma travelled to Sicily last month, so Aurelio Andreazzoli must ensure that his team are in the right frame of mind for this weekend's clash.

Dodo and Marquinho both missed Saturday's training session; Dodo had left Friday's training session an hour early while Marquinho was suffering from an inflammation in his right knee. Marquinho's absence was more a precaution, as Roma's medical team had announced on Friday that there was no injury to the knee. Alessandro Florenzi took part in the training match, but there are doubts over whether he will play on Sunday after coming off at half time against Inter with an ankle problem.

With Federico Balzaretti and Nicolas Burdisso suspended, Andreazzoli faces something of a selection headache in defence. A four-man backline with Vasilis Torosidis at left back seems the most likely answer. Pescara largely have a full squad from which to select their team, though former Roma player Gaetano D'Agostino is injured while Lazio-owned Giuseppe Sculli is suspended.
