Sad new indeed that Carlo is gone, not to mention a somewhat surreal feeling at having lost someone you've never actually met.

Carlo was just a good guy. Always had something worthwhile to say and was always tried to be supportive to others.

He will be missed.

this is very surreal, to feel a pain for somebody whom you have never met. it is, perhaps, the evolution of human relationships. nevertheless, while i would never recognize carlo on the street, i am certain that i would recognize his caring personality while talking to him on the phone. such was the joy and humanity that he so vividly expressed in all of his shouts and posts, and i am sure that it is how he carried himself with everybody who knew him.

we will forever miss his enthusiasm, and we will never forget his presence. RIP don carlo

I'm saddened by Carlo's passing. The tributes have been so touching that I have red eyes and my kids are wondering why given that I'm on the computer. I suppose it goes to show how great a person Carlo was in "real life" if he can touch all of us so deeply on a forum.

My Grandfather always said the dead are never coming back and life is for the living. I have always had difficulty with death and dying. My earliest memories are that of burying dead relatives so I was really 'spooked' from an early age. I preferred to remember the dead, visit the cemetary regularly, and pray for relatives who have died. Even ones who have been dead for a very long time.

I just thought I would drop a post in this forum in memory of our friend, Carlo Donatella.
