Thats nonsense, JI. I say that not just to wind you all up or have a stab because its Juve and im a Roma fan. Conte is an embarrassment. I would honestly say the same thing if he were Roma coach. Decisions will always go against you, and whatever about ranting in a press conference or to the media, you don't act like that on the field after the final whistle.
Also, i dont see how Serie A is a joke. Quality wise, its not the same, but this attitude of blaming refs (from all sides) is very tiresome, and very Italian. That was not a peno for Juve, it hit his foot and then hit his hand, something which is not a penalty. Italians need to learn more respect for officials.
Wtf is the point of adding two extra officials to Serie A games (total of 6 including 4th official), if the ref is not going to listen to them, or not give penalties because "he didn't feel like it". It takes away from the legitimacy of the league and the results. Errors are understandable. A ref can miss one, two, or in the case of the Juve game, three penalties, but to not even talk to his assistent after the incident and then tell Conte that "he didn't feel like it" is unacceptable.
Yeah, that side of the team is a big problem without them.
Fairly nothingy game for the most part, which is exactly how Lazio wanted it.
Juve, despite Lazio's ultra-defensive and well-organised approach, manage to create a few decent situations and chances which is as much as you could ask for with the midfield Juve started with.
Ultimately, you aren't going to beat decent sides if you miss sitters and conceded goals from set-pieces. Juve did both those things in both games.
Juve just aren't able to withstand any pressure whatsoever at the moment. Seems like they are conceding pretty much every time the opposition makes it into their penalty area.
And, while I'm in no way going to claim it would have been decisive, the decision to not give a penalty when Vucinic was taken out by Marchetti was pretty extraordinary.
Lazio should have had a penalty when Isla went in clumsily on Klose, but it wasn't as clear.

Conte sarcastic on referee By Football Italia staff
Antonio Conte felt Juventus “did more over the 180 minutes” against Lazio and rued that last-gasp miss, but also adopted sarcasm when discussing the penalty incidents.
The Bianconeri were held 1-1 in Turin and lost 2-1 in a dramatic second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
“We did more over the 180 minutes than Lazio, but whoever wins is always right, so we accept the result. That late miss from Marchisio weighed very heavily on us, as it would’ve been the goal to qualify us.
“I could not field Alessandro Matri because he had flu and was running a high temperature, but Fabio Quagliarella did well when coming off the bench.
“I am satisfied with Luca Marrone’s performance and he has a great future ahead of him, also as a centre-back.
“I’m happy with the overall performance, although we must unfortunately accept the result on the field. The team knows what I ask of them and we are not worried.”
Conte received a two-match Serie A ban for insulting the referee after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Genoa. There were more contentious incidents in the first half at the Olimpico, as Mirko Vucinic appeared to be brought down by Federico Marchetti and Mauricio Isla might’ve tripped Miroslav Klose.
“Oh they weren’t penalties, the referee is always right,” said the Coach in an extremely sarcastic tone.
“In fact, Vucinic dived. He should’ve been booked for simulation and Marchetti didn’t touch him at all. Seba Giovinco was booked for diving? He should’ve been sent off, for you cannot try to con the referee like that.
“As for Klose, ooh, it was a very violent foul. An evident penalty.”
Despite his success and building a very competitive squad, Conte is the type of coach any Juve fan wouldn't want. He's a crybaby and his post-match rants about the refs are uncalled for & not classy. It's like he can't accept defeat gracefully. Yes, the ref may have a missed a call here and there but this is calcio. We are all accustomed to it. It seems like every coach in this league can't accept losing gracefully. That's why I don't even bother reading football italia anymore or even listen to post-match comments. He was going good up until he was banned this season. I guess you can admire his fire and passion but sometimes he runs his mouth too much.
I'm gonna group him in with Mancini and the rest of the coaches who complain all the time. It really takes a lot from the game. It's pleasant when you don't hear coaches complain about refs and admit their team lost. Every call isn't going to go your way. Was that a Vucinic dive too on that Vidal goal or a poor attempt at a header??
It's been a while since Juve lost/dropped points but it's the focal point when they do. Just read his post match transcripts from last year. There have been a few but not to this extent. On a funny note:
“More than another Coach, Baldini would need a new Calciopoli-style situation to turn the table upside down.
“Roma’s results have been disappointing, but there’s no need to be surprised. Zeman and Baldini are what they are. They proved it again this year.”
NORMALLY mascot places are taken by small children but 6ft4ins Snoop is desperate to lead out the team when they walk out for the glamour Champions’ League tie next Tuesday.
HIP HOP superstar Snoop Dogg is begging Celtic to let him be a mascot when the Hoops take on Italian champions Juventus.
The rapper, who now calls himself Snoop Lion after converting to Rastafarianism, said he’s desperate to get a ticket for the glamour Champions’ League tie next Tuesday.
And he says if he can’t get his hands on a brief, he’ll settle for leading out the team.
His plea comes just months after we revealed how he wanted to invest in Celtic and sign “his man” David Beckham for the Parkhead club.
During an interview in Dubai last week, Snoop donned a Celtic scarf and revealed he is desperate to get to the Juventus tie.
He said: “It’s the one I need to go to. It’s the game we’ve been waiting for.
“I need tickets but I want to walk out with the team like a little kid with the banner. Yes, yes, make it happen.
“Hail, hail the Celts are here. Yabadabadoo!”
After being told he might end up sitting beside Celtic superfan Rod Stewart, he added: “Do you think I’m sexy?”
Snoop was first snapped wearing a Hoops shirt in 2005, though some fans doubt his allegiance to the team as he often wears replica kit of sports clubs from around the world.
But last year the Sunday Mail revealed that the rapper was a true fan following Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona in November.
We told how Snoop planned to invest in the club and had even asked Beckham for advice.
Snoop, a fan of his home city basketball team the LA Lakers, told reporters in Dubai: “I fell in love with the club and what better way to show my support than to be a part of it.
“I just want to learn more about it and I figured if I become a part of it, I’ll do that.”
“I love sports, I’m athletic. All around the world there are different sports that dictate that part of the world you live in – and I just want to be a part of it.”
And his involvement could bring a splash of showbiz glamour to Parkhead.
He added: “I have got a big interest in soccer. It’s not new for hip hop stars to invest in sports teams but it is a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in soccer teams.
“I haven’t really thought how much to put in.
“I don’t need to run the club but I’d like enough of a percentage to get me on the board and be heard.
“I want to bring a bit of Snoop to things.
“I am passionate about my sport. The boxes at Celtic would never be the same once I have hosted a party there.”
Solid performance, aside from a couple of early mistakes from Marrone.
Juve did a good job of frustrating Fiorentina and taking advantage of the opportunities to attack when they appeared.
Only thing that really caused issues early was Cuadrado getting one-on-one against a defender, but Marchisio soon started moving wider and provided good protection down that side of the pitch. Between that and Vidal doing a good job on Valero - who an awful lot of Fiorentina's attacking play normally goes through - Fiorentina had very little to offer to trouble Juve.
Why don't Juve always play deep, compact and focused when ahead instead of only doing it when trying to conserve energy?
Still think Juve look much better with Matri in the team since he is the only player Juve have who moves like a CF and is capable of stretching the game and pulling a defence out of shape.
I'll never understand teams who clearly go into games without any making any adjustments to take account of Pirlo.
Cracking result, even if the performance was far from brilliant for long periods.
I don't know if Juve were, but I was surprised that Celtic played as boldly as they did. I really didn't expect them to try to press as much as that. From their team selection it was clear they didn't just plan to defend like they did against Barca, but I suspect it was only the concession of the early goal that caused them to be as aggressive as that.
Ultimately, as well as Celtic played - and I don't think they can play better than that - they never threatened to open Juve up and only created one really clear chance from over an hour of dominance.
Juve's defence stood up well to the physical challenge and dealt with crosses pretty well for the most part, though they went too deep and made it too easy for Celtic to put crosses into the box at times.
Thought Juve could have done better against Celtic's pressing game. Was silly to try and play as many short passes in deep areas as they did. They should have played longer to the strikers and looked for them to take the ball in and set the play up.
Marchisio and Peluso controlled their side of the pitch very nicely, both in terms of keeping things tight and retaining possession when the opportunity presented itself. On the other side, Vidal and Lichtsteiner, while fine defensively, were pretty terrible in possession.
Don't understand the fuss about the Lichtsteiner v Hooper stuff at corners. Lichtsteiner may have been on dodgy ground on occassion, but it is worth remembering that he was not preventing Hoopper from tryin to get the ball - all Hooper wanted to do was to be in a position to obstruct Buffon.
Yeah, I expected the team tactics to be reversed. The way they played really favored us. I thought we put in a solid defensive performance and an efficient offensive showing, granted two of the goals came off of horrific defensive errors. I thought we did exactly what we needed to on set pieces. That's how you're supposed to man-mark on set pieces. One or two incidences could've been considered a foul, but neither time was the celtic player going for or even near the ball for it to be considered a penalty. It's also good to see both out forwards scoring in consecutive games, especially Matri.
We shouldn't get complacent for the return leg, and I'm sure Conte won't let that happen. Pirlo also reminded us about Istanbul and how anything can happen. I think the Milan Deportivo tie in 03-04 is a better example of what not to do.
