I'm not sure if Il Principe's managerial record warrants him getting the job at Roma, even though i'd probably prefer giving him a shot rather than taking a punt on someone from outside of Italy (ala LE). Our management would never go for him, though, far too risky. Maybe as an assistant or part of a managerial team, I dunno.

What are we to make of Roberto Mancini attending the Samp-Roma match today. Further, what to read into the fact that Mancini made himself available to the media. When asked directly if he would consider coaching at Roma next season he responded: "I don't know, I don't know....." Was he simply visiting relatives? Of course, he is from Jesi, about 5 hours from where the match was played today. His wife is from Napoli, so he could not have been visiting her family. Was he in Italy to purchase a few new wrist watches, and obsession of his, or maybe a new Ferrari, another obsession. Is this something that I need to lose sleep over, I wonder.

Does this make the son more palatable as a coach, Tomasso? I am sure old Aldo Mancini has no problems with his son earning more in a few months than he earned as a wood carpenter over the course of his entire life. As with any good socialist, I am also sure he has no problems accepting and spending his son's disposable income even though his fellow socialists in government are more interested in confiscating a man's wealth rather than creating and earning their own.
