It would be a great pick-up, especially if he arrives on loan. It gives us more options going forward. I think it would be beneficial in a way for Lyon as well. If he does well(especially in CL), and we decide not to take up what I assume will be an initially high set option to buy, there's a definite chance that another team(particularly in England) will gladly pay his transfer fee.

I hope it happens. We could really use him.

Yeah, I think it'd be a good move.

Aside from being immediately useful, I like that he's enough of an all-round forward that he should be compatible with pretty much anyone in a forward pairing, so should be a good option to have around in the longer term.

If Juve could, by the start of next season, have Llorente and Lopez signed for less than 10m to replace Matri and Quagliarella, that would seem to be pretty good business and good progress.

Cevallos: 'I've signed for Juventus!'

Ecuadorian teenage midfielder Jose Francisco Cevallos has announced he’s “already signed the contract” with Juventus.

He plays for LDU Quito and is currently on international duty at the South American Under-20 tournament, as he only turned 18 last week.

“I am very happy and very proud that after weeks and months of negotiations, the transfer has gone through,” he told Ecuador TV.

“I have already signed the contract. As soon as the tournament ends, I will go straight to Turin. I’ll fight to earn my place and I am certain with God’s grace it will go well.”

His full name is Jose Francisco Cevallos Jr, as his father Jose Francisco Cevallos was a legendary goalkeeper in Ecuador.

“In the 2002 World Cup, Gigi Buffon exchanged shirts with my father. If I get the chance, I’ll ask him if he remembers that.”

Juve are farting around with lots of different strikers. Matri, Bentdner, Llorente, and now possibly Anelka, or still Drogba. Instead, why not make one move for one top, big money striker?

Shangai Shenua striker Nicolas Anelka could sign for Juventus within the next few hours, according to reports in France. L'Equipe claim that the 33-year-old is in talks with the Bianconeri, and could put pen-to-paper on a short-term deal before the weekend.

The former Chelsea man is seen as a stop-gap for Antonio Conte's side before Fernando Llorente joins from Athletic Bilbao in June, and is eligible to play in the Champions League. The Chinese Super League is played during the summer months, so a short-term loan-deal could be a possibility for the Frenchman.

I think Falcao would cost more than Cavani. The rivalry factor plays into it, but i think if Juve put €50m on the table for De Laurentis would justify the sale for economic reasons. Falcao would probably cost more as there will likely be a bidding war for him between the mega-rich foreign owned clubs, and Madrid.

Anelka would be a bit of an odd signing but I think Llorente will do well. I know they were linked with Lisandro on loan as well but not sure where that's up to?

Llorente set for knee scan

Juventus will be anxiously awaiting news from Spain on Monday as new signing Fernando Llorente will have tests on a knee injury.

The Spanish international, who will join the Old Lady in the summer on a free transfer, picked up a problem in training on Saturday.

Llorente will have an MRI scan later today in an effort to understand whether the centre-forward has sustained knee ligament damage.

Juve have gone back to Lyon with another offer for Lisandro.

Think signing him would be dependant on getting shot of Matri or Quagliarella (probably Quagliarella), though.

I like him and think he'd be an interesting option for Juve to have in their squad.

Shouldn't be signed if it interferes with Juve's ability to go and sign a high-quality starter or two, though.

He would definitely add depth and creativity to the team. I don't think he'd be too pricey.
