How ironic it is that Giovanni is the one telling us to stop whining, considering he's the one who's done nothing but whine about Zeman since the start of the season, whilst others have been willing to give him a chance and see how the season develops before judging him.

Daniele De Rossi underwent diagnostic tests this morning after picking up an injury in Sunday's Serie A match against Inter. The exams revealed a minor hamstring injury (right thigh). The player has already begun a rehabilitation program and is expected to recover in approximately two weeks.

Here he is at Gemilli after doing his medical, so looks like we're signing him now. His contract is up in the summer meaning we're likely getting him on the cheap.

Edzo, now I know you are not a stupid person so why are you content to behave like one. It's amazing, Edzo, you never seem willing to accept the obvious with Zeman. Every one of your posts are the same in failing to recognise that Zeman is the threat to success. Give him a chance? The man has been coaching since the 1980's; this is his second go around at Roma and his 4th season overall with the club. Give him a chance? He's been here for 7 months now. I saw too much the first time around to know that I had seen enough. My criticism is fair and based on experience. You, and others like you, have some imaginary and adolescent view of this guy that is not based on fact.

This is more of an indictment of our management because they are football men who know, I thought, what they are doing. I did not write the article that Tomasso posted but I wish I had because the author is dead right. He's dead right and the sooner some of you people around here recognise it the better you will all be in the end when Zeman gets the boot but good.

I wasn't happy with the Zeman hiring, I was actually left scratching my head. The same could be said with Luis Enrique. To me, the coach to take Roma forward was Montella and now we are paying for that lapse of judgement. Montella is turning heads by the job he's doing. Sitting in 7th, with this squad, is simply inexcusable. The wavering in form from one week to another makes me sick. How do you completely dismantle Milan only to be shutout by Catania?

Zeman is an old man with old ideals. I love attractive football as much as anyone but it's coming at a price. The euphoria of high scoring, heart pounding matches is unmatched but ultimately undone by lapses in defense. I love what Maquinhos is showing and I'm confident in saying we have a star in the making. I love Burdisso's heart and passion but he needs to be more consistent. Balzaretti has not really impressed since his move from Palermo. Piris is simply pedestrian.

For anyone who watches American Football, the legendary owner of the Raiders, Al Davis used to say that it's one thing to say what you're gonna do, it's another to have the players to do it and it's another thing to go and actually do it.

The defense is a liability. It needs to be addressed and more than signing Torosidis. Zeman has alienated De Rossi. He went from playing at the top of his game last season and in the Euros to being a spectator with spotting starts. Inexcusable. De Rossi was not only one of the top defenders in Italy but the world last year. How do you come in and play someone of that caliber out of position and challenge his desire?

Zeman must go. Bring back L'Aeroplanino or FINALLY bring in Ancelotti. The last 3 seasons have been a waste. The club is wasting valuable time while Zeman tries to play Mr. Know-it-all. More importantly, he's wasting the final years of a legendary player. For me, that's the deal breaker. Totti is something more than my favorite player. I cannot begin to put into words my love for Totti. Totti deserves to go out with a bang, not a whimper finishing mid-table.

i suspected those two liked each other. i missed the beginning of the second, but that sounds like some bullshit. trying to get your point across about ddr is fine, but don't boo taxi. zeman's the main problem here anyway and everyone in the olimpico knows it.

Translate the article Tomasso posted, Edzo. You are swimming against the tide my man. Zeman is not so popular in Rome right now and rightly so. This management team led by Baldini certainly say the right things in public. Meanwhile, their asses on are the line if things do not change quickly. The fact of the matter is that management is attempting to hold on until it's forced to sack Zeman. That means approaching a real coach who does not suffer from premature dementia to lead this team for the next 5 years. A loss this weekend at Bologna should put an end to this awful mistake. A win will see him stay for a while because the club will limp along until there is a commitment from a real coach to take over. One thing I can state unequivocally is that this idiot will not be coaching this team next season. He has no respect from the players and no confidence from management. No doubt our executives are scrambling to right the ship because ownership is not happy at all at this point. 21 games into this championship and what has been accomplished? 10 wins, 8 defeats and 3 draws. It's not hatred, Edzo, it's simply a repeat of the same thing I saw back in the late 90's. Literally nothing has changed. I'm in the twilight zone right now.

Fair enough, Gio, like I said I understand and appreciate where you are coming from. I still support Zeman, but if they were to get rid of him – even though such a move wouldn't happen to the end of the season, barring a dramatic turn of events – who would you replace him with, then? Do you think the management would be ballsy enough to (try) bring back Montella, or would they let their pride get in the way and not want to admit to a mistake in judgement in letting him go in the first place?

Official: Roma Sign Vasilis Torosidis From Olympiacos

Roma have officially announced the signing of defender Vasilis Torosidis from Olympiacos.

The Giallorossi have paid a fee of less than half a million euros for the 27-year-old, who would have been out of contract in the summer but has instead put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal with Roma.

"AS Roma announce that a deal has been agreed with the Greek club Olympiacos to sign the player Vasileios Torosidis on a permanent basis for a fee of €0.4m", a club statement read.

"The player has signed a contract until 30 June 2015, with an option for AS Roma [to extend it] for the 2015/16 season".

The news comes several hours after Olympiacos posted on their own official website that "Olympiacos announce an agreement with AS Roma for the transfer of Vasilis Torosidis".

Torosidis joins his Greek compatriot Panagiotis Tachtsidis at the club, and will wear number 35.
