Juventus squad for Chelsea

Juventus have named their 25-man squad for the Champions League match with Chelsea on Tuesday.

There are no real surprises in the Bianconeri's list, as Antonio Conte has called upon a virtually full squad as the current European champions roll into town.

The game could be a decisive one if the Turin giants are to qualify from Group E. The Old Lady currently sit in third position, one point behind Roberto Di Matteo's men who have seven points.

All the English press are saying that Torres is going to be dropped, with Hazard playing as CF and Chelsea going with a pretty negative lineup.

I fancy Juve to win tonight, because Chelsea's defence is pretty leaky.

This is a must win game as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds like the Chelsea team will be something like:

I'd say Terry is the bigger loss for Chelsea in a game like this.

Lampard isn't the force he was.

With Chelsea sitting deep, keeping space to a minimum and focusing on organisation, it's a game that would have played very much to Terry's strengths.

That Chelsea team is not in the least bit intimidating.

If Juve play well, they win this game.

Could be one of two possibilities, either Di Matteo is trying to copy Spains tactics from the Euros (which is not Chelsea's style), or the more obvious choice of playing for the counters.

Juve hasn't really been troubled by teams that play negative, in the sense that we've never lost to them, but we have in many cases (like this past weekend) drawn opposition teams implementing this tactic.

I'm pretty nervous about this game, even more so because I can't watch it live :/

It's just a defensive/counter-attacking measure from Chelsea.

They aren't going to be playing anything resembling possession football.

Quite negative tactics from Chelsea if they do go with Bertrand in midfield when they have lots of quality midfield options available. Cant see them not playing with a striker. If Torres is indeed dropped then surely Sturridge will have to play? Either a little deeper with Hazard leading the line and Bertrand out. Red's Chelsea line-up above with no strikers would be horrible to watch.

I can see Juve winning as long as they don't bottle it and play to their strengths.

Correct, a win against Chelsea and a draw against Shakhtar send us through, or visa versa. Although clearly it would and should be easier to get a result against Chelsea at home compared to away to Shakhtar in Donetsk.

Great win for Juve, fair play. Despite yis being cheating rubentini druglords, I maintain its good for Serie A to see all Italian sides do well (Lazio aside, naturally).

Fully deserved the win and it could have been more if Vucinic wasn't such a tool job. Chelsea were very poor, they had no real game plan other than sit back and hope Oscar or Hazard could do something on the break.

Will be interesting to see how both Juventus and Shaktar approach the last game, knowing a draw is enough for each. There is still top place in the table to play for.

Yep, fair play, excellent result (why couldn't you just have got another goal away to that Nordsjaelland???).

Hope Juve can get something in Donetsk. I think the fact top spot is at stake means there'll be no 'mutual agreement', if you like, of a draw.

Good performance overall.

First half was pretty ropey.

Juve's desire to press was good, but the combination of Barzagli often moving very high up to press combined with Pirlo moving forward to try and find space left Juve vulnerable to counter-attacks. That was made worse with a couple of poor give-aways in dangerous situations.

The second half was excellent, though.

Really a dominant, commanding display.

Chelsea were never given a chance and Juve should have scored more goals than they did.

Chelsea's central midfield isn't strong enough to win games against good teams. They are consistently overrun in that area of the pitch when they come up against strong sides.

Their decision to not play with a CF also helped Juve, as Chelsea had no-one to hold the ball up and relieve pressure. That meant Juve were able to be really aggressive, win the ball back early and attack almost continuously up to the second goal

Chiellini was awesome.

If you had a choice going into the last game:

Would you play an agreed draw to be sure of qualifying; or would you want to play a real game against Shakhtar to maybe go out, but also have the chance to top the group?
