Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder could make a January move to Anzhi Makhachkala, according to reports in the Russian Press.
The Moscow-based newspaper Izvestia claim that Guus Hiddink's side will make a €20m bid for the Nerazzurri midfielder in the winter transfer window, but may have to fight out with Manchester United for his signature.
The paper have reported that the San Siro club will have to sell the Netherlands international to comply with the new Financial Fair Play rules being enforced, as his salary goes far beyond the limits President Massimo Moratti has imposed on the club.
Sneijder has had an injury-ravaged season so far, playing just five League games for Andrea Stramaccioni's men.
Sneijder dont go anywhere ,he is having it to good in milano 6 million a year and doig nothing ,no playing no training fucking around with YOLANDA and friends ,why would he move ?
Giuseppe Rossi has agreed a pre-contract deal with Inter and could move as soon as January, according to reports in Italy.
Panorama.it has revealed that the Villarreal striker has reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri with a deal worth approximately €3.5m per season for four years.
The weekly magazine report that the only stumbling block to the deal now, is the fee Andrea Stramaccioni's side will have to pay to release the 25-year-old from his current contract at the Spanish side.
That fee could be a contentious issue as the risks involving Rossi are high – the former Manchester United man has suffered two cruciate ligament injuries in the past 18 months, and hasn't played a full League game since Villarreal's home match with Levante in October 2011.
He is likely to be out of action until at least March 2013, but a deal could be struck with the Segunda Division side as their financial worries tighten.
Javier Zanetti is set to sign a one-year extension on his Inter contract, dispelling rumours he will retire this summer.
The Argentine full-back will put pen-to-paper on a 12 month renewal that will see him eventually play until he is 40 years of age.
Tuttosport have reported that the Nerazzurri legend will sign a deal until June 2014, as he looks to guide the San Siro club back to the Champions League.
USA boss Jurgen Klinsmann believes that the inexperienced Andrea Stramaccioni could lead Inter to the Scudetto this season.
Stramaccioni was promoted from the youth set-up in March and his side are currently second in the table – four points behind champions Juventus.
“Stramaccioni is not as famous as Giovanni Trapattoni or Arrigo Sacchi, Fabio Capello or Carlo Ancelotti, but he is making a name for himself,” the German told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He could win the Scudetto because a Coach who wins 10 games in a row has to be good and has to have a team that follows him.
“Experience counts, but a debutant can have an innocence that is needed to make changes.
“Results also arrive thanks to the relationship he has with the club and with the older players in his squad.
“Inter seem to be on the right path, despite the loss at Atalanta.”
The former international striker joined Inter as a player in 1989 before his 1992 switch to Monaco.
Inter have more injury concerns against Cagliari tomorrow, as there are reports Juan Jesus is not fit to start.
The Nerazzurri welcomed back Walter Samuel and Andrea Ranocchia to the squad this weekend, though Wesley Sneijder, Cristian Chivu, Dejan Stankovic and Joel Obi are still unavailable.
According to the latest reports from Sky Sport Italia, Juan Jesus is carrying an injury and might not be able to start against Cagliari on Sunday afternoon.
If the Brazilian does not pass a fitness test, then Matias Silvestre is expected to step in.
Inter 2 - 2 Cagliari Palacio 10 (I), Sau 43, 66 (C), Astori og 82 (I) Stadio Giuseppe Meazza
Inter needed an own goal to fight back for a 2-2 draw against Cagliari, but were denied a penalty in stoppages.
Andrea Stramaccioni needed to get his side back on track after their 10-match winning streak crashed to a halt against Atalanta. He welcomed back Walter Samuel, Andrea Ranocchia and Philippe Coutinho to the squad, though Wesley Sneijder, Fredy Guarin, Cristian Chivu, Dejan Stankovic and Joel Obi were out. Cagliari had won the first four games under Coach Ivo Pulga, but had been unfortunate to scrape one point from the last two rounds. Lorenzo Ariaudo was the only absentee in defence.
In the opening minute a corner came out to Diego Milito, who fired over the bar, then Juan Jesus nodded wide from a free kick. However, Cagliari very nearly took the lead, as Nene’s scorching volley from seven yards stung Samir Handanovic’s palms at the near post.
Rodrigo Palacio opened the scoring at the 10th minute when he snuck in behind Avelar to nod in an Antonio Cassano cross.
Cagliari were very much in the game and Radja Nainggolan should’ve done better on the counter-attack when curling it straight into Handanovic’s arms. The Inter goalkeeper had to flap a dangerous Davide Astori header over the bar, then Handanovic had to parry Nene’s powerful header from point-blank range.
During that move, Nene clashed heads with Juan Jesus and suffered a nasty cut above his eye, so he had to make way for Mauricio Pinilla.
Cagliari earned a deserved equaliser just before half-time, when Marco Sau sprung the offside trap by a matter of inches between the defenders and at full stretch prodded Andrea Cossu’s cross past Handanovic.
Milito jumped to volley a cross and forced a tough save out of Michael Agazzi, then Il Principe had a shot charged down in the box.
Milito incredibly failed to score on 54 minutes when Yuto Nagatomo rolled across for the unmarked striker, who somehow ballooned over an open goal from six yards!
Cagliari also wasted a golden opportunity moments later, as Cossu flicked on a pass for Sau at full stretch to volley inches over the bar.
Nagatomo created again by winning back possession in midfield and Milito stung Agazzi’s palms.
It was Cagliari who took the lead with a chaotic and determined move. Pinilla’s overhead kick went over Handanovic to hit the back post of an empty net, but Sau pounced on the rebound as Inter defenders scrambled to recover.
The Sardinians hadn’t won here in Serie A since May 1995, which was also a 2-1 result. Inter fought back and from a corner Ranocchia tested Agazzi at the near post.
The Nerazzurri were gifted an equaliser, as Ricky Alvarez rolled across an assist for his teammates, but Davide Astori accidentally kicked it into his own net when trying to clear.
Inter could now smell the win and poured forward with Agazzi denying Ranocchia from a corner. There were penalty appeals for an Astori foul on Ranocchia on the very edge of the box, but the referee waved play on. Coach Andrea Stramaccioni was sent off for his protests and it did seem to be a penalty.
It was a siege in stoppages, as Agazzi was at full stretch to flap away a Coutinho curler and there was a desperate goalline clearance.
President Massimo Moratti broke the club’s media silence to accuse referees of “penalising” Inter and made references to Calciopoli.
The patron, Coach Andrea Stramaccioni and players were furious after today’s 2-2 draw with Cagliari, in which Andrea Ranocchia appeared to be tripped just inside the box by Davide Astori.
“For the last three games in a row we have been penalised. Fortunately, we won in Turin thanks to the grace of God anyway,” blasted Moratti on Mediaset Premium.
“I do not like the attitude of the referees and today they stopped us from getting our result. I cannot stay silent, as I have to point out certain injustices.
“It is a great shame and I would hate to return to certain situations of the past. Let’s not joke around here, the penalty was clear as day. You journalists need to analyse these incidents.
“I am irritated by certain pundits who try to save face by saying it wasn’t a penalty. Some entertain themselves by pretending it wasn’t a penalty, but if that’s not a spot-kick then I don’t know what is.”
Moratti was asked whether there was some sort of conspiracy against Inter, as he had referred to Calciopoli.
“There is no design against us, it’s just that the referees are incapable of doing their jobs properly. If that weren’t the case, then it would be even more stupid.”
Juve respond to Moratti complaint By Football Italia staff
Juventus have taken an unusual step in replying to Massimo Moratti’s complaints about the referees – publishing a Calciopoli ruling.
The Inter President blasted officials for “penalising” his team over the last three games and suggested it was a familiar scenario to the one he experienced in Calciopoli.
The official Juventus website released a statement which only said: ‘No comment.’
Attached to the statement was a downloadable file outlining FIGC prosecutor Stefano Palazzi’s July 2011 ruling that Inter were involved in the Calciopoli scandal, but could not be punished because the statute of limitations had expired.
Our midfield sucks but the refs even more is getting so bad dont feel looking at any game any more, in italy everthing sucks .PEOPLE ,SPORTS, INSTITUTIONS .
