Yeah, Juve team pretty much picks itself for this one.

Think the only question for Chelsea is whether to start Cahill or Luiz.

Chelsea's midfield are weak, so if Juve are brave, they can have a lot of control over the game.

Main concern has to be defending set-pieces.

Good performance from Juve.

Took a while to settle, but that was understandable.

Really should have been ahead with the chances Marchisio and Vucinic had at 0-0. Neither was easy, but at least one of them really ought to have done better.

First goal was Chelsea was just unfortunate. Second goal was brilliant, even if Juve should have closed Oscar down better.

Juve did well to maintain their composure, understand that they were unlucky to be behind and just keep playing their game.

Thought Juve's back three was very good, particularly Chiellini, who really was excellent. There aren't many in the world better than him when he's in that mood.

Vidal and Marchisio both had good games, which was vital given that Chelsea did well to limit Pirlo's involvement.

Vucinic was great in the first half, other than his missed chance.

I don't know if Giovinco played as he was asked to, but he really needs to drift into the channels more to find space. Too crowded in the centre and it's pretty easy for the big CBs to muscle him out of the way.

Chelsea really offered very little. There were a couple of dangerous moments in the first half when the ball dropped in the box from set-pieces, but can only recall Mata's shot into the side netting as a genuine chance that they created.

Always great to see the great John Terry fuck up as well.

I haven't seen any English pundit or journalist try to claim that Chelsea deserved to win that game, which only confirms that a point was the very least Juve deserved from the game.

We started out a little nervous and then slowly worked our way into the game. The Chelsea goals came from a couple minutes of chaos. Our defense had an overall good game, like you mentioned (especially Chiellini). But Bonucci cost us a goal, and almost another after the pass to Mata's chance came off his indecisive touch.

Vucinic was a little hit and miss, he needs to keep focus through an entire game.

I'm happy for Quags, hopefully he can get some more time and start scoring on a consistant basis. I'm pretty sure he'll start against Chievo this weekend.

It was funny seeing the English feed because they talked about Juve as if it's this unknown team that unexpectedly got a draw in Stamford bridge. We deserved at least the draw. It's a good result away from home. I think it was a sign to ourselves as well as everyone else. Juve is going to be a force in the CL. He haven't done enough to be considered contenders yet, but we put in an overall good performance we can build on. I can't wait for the return game in Torino.

I just consider that to be unfortunate on his part.

I'd hold Marchisio more accountable for not closing Oscar down, though Vidal not being on the pitch may explain why that space existed.

I think as an all-round, box-to-box CM (not that there are many about) Yaya Toure is probably the only one better than Vidal just now.

Souness (fucking arsehole that he is) and Gullit both spoke well after the game and both and suggested Juve were the better team on the night and could go a long way in the compeition. Souness even gave what is probably the highest compliment he can give a foreign side when he descibed Juve as a 'team of men', rather than living up to the English idea of what all foreign sides are like.

Vialli's comment were very odd.

Certainly wasn't expecting him to be pro-Juve in an interview for English TV, but was susrpised he would come out with something factually incorrect.

i'm not sure if you guys remember, but i called vidal to be the signing of the season last year. although he can be a little bitch at times, he is a great runner and ball-player in one.

I'd seen enough of Vidal in Germany to know he was a very good player, but he has surpassed my expectations.

Can't really say I've noticed Vidal's bitchiness.

Vidal is an all around great midfielder. The only worry I had last season was his rash tackling, but he seems to have gotten his shit together.

I don't necessarily think Bonnuci should have blocked Oscar's first shot, but rather not stick his leg out unless he was certain of blocking it. As a defender I think sometimes it's smarter to let the keeper deal with the shot rather than take a chance and stick a leg in. The shot seemed to be going to the bottom left corner which Buffon looked to have covered. But then again I'm saying all of this in hindsight...

Conte appeal verdict postponed

Antonio Conte’s touchline suspension continues after an appeal court opted to postpone making a judgment on the Juventus tactician.

The Coach is currently serving a 10-month ban after he was found guilty of failing to report an alleged attempt to fix a game which he was in charge at Siena.

Conte has taken his case to the TNAS in Rome in a bid to get his ban overturned – or at least reduced.

A decision was expected today, but after hearing from Conte’s lawyers for around 30 minutes, the panel decided to postpone the hearing until October 2.

It’s understood that the decision was taken in order to give Conte’s legal team more time to gather evidence.

I don't know about this probable midfield lineup. If I were Conte I'd start Asamoah in Giach's place and start De Ceglie as LWB. Having both Pogba and Giach starting doesn't seems like the right move.

Good performance, all things considered.

Like many of last season's home games, the game wasn't finished as early as it should have been.

Juve were able to up the tempo for a quick burst to win the game without too much fuss, though.

Thought the back three were very good, even if they didn't have much real defending to do. Remained concentrated and aggressive throughout and did a good job of winning balls back very quickly to make it hard for Chievo to get anywhere.

Would be rather handy if Quagliarella could find some form. Makes life so much easier if you have at least one striker consistently scoring at any given time.

Decent showing from Pogba. Plenty of mistakes, but clearly he's a kid with a lot of potential. Hopefully Conte won't be shy about resting Pirlo, when he needs it, and throwing Pogba in.

I'm satisfied with the performance, considering we resting a few players. But you're right, and early goal in games like this would make life so much easier for us.

I thought Lucio did a surprisingly decent job. The rest of the defense did a good job as well but it was mostly because Chievo was so poor.

Vucinic can be so inconsistent, even during the span of a single game. It's really frustrating.

Quagliarella has earned a start in the next game alongside vooch or gio.

Also, I have nothing but respect for Sorrentino. imo he deserves a spot on the national team over De Sanctis (and probably Sirigu as well).
Even the two we scored on him today were shots he got a touch on.
