I always start Ermes' videos with the sound and decide whether to mute or not, because sometimes there's a joke in the song she chooses. No idea what that was.

I have to say that every time I see the celebration of Florenzi's goal, I have a silly grin watching him leap on Totti to celebrate.

Florenzi showed against Inter that he has personalita'; we already knew that he was fit, strong, young. Inter, though, made it massively easier for him by leaving such enormous spaces in midfield. It will be interesting to see how he goes against teams that are much more compact and give him much less room to run in. A more compact game is likely to suit the Taxidickos; I shall be interested to see how Florenzi copes technically in tighter spaces and where his movement will have to be more disciplined and cleverer.

Agree that Florenzi was assisted by Inter. Still, he was near MOTM and made our MF more "vertical" I'd have to imagine that Zeman was very pleased. More than anything he sped up our passing I think. I don't want to attribute too much to him as Inter left so much space available but there are still quite a few players willing to recieve the ball, look around and pass it to a guy who's open.

Also Ozzy had a presser today. Here's what he said about Totti. Rumor has it he teared up talking about him. (and by rumor I mean I made it up):

Poor Rosi. Says "I would have been the perfect player for Zeman". I agree. Wouldn't mind having him in the squad now considering we're a bit short at right-back.

One could say the same of Totti and DDR too. I'm not ready to anoint him the next King of Rome. I just think he compliments ZZ's system as much as the system compliments him. Were LE still around, i think he'd struggle for success.

Report on our players currently in the Azzurrini squad: Florenzi, Viviani, Frasacatore and Crescenzi. Crescenzi didn't play for them as he had a slight injury, but is still involved in the U21s.

(Corriere dello Sport) Ma quanto sono bravi e, sopratutto quanti sono i giovani giallorossi che spingono alle porte della prima squadra e del successo! Già con Zeman sono in molti a ballare sui gradoni. E poi i ragazzi dell’Under 21, quelli che sono in prestito in altre squadre, per finire ai De Rossi-boys, che non smettono di vincere e convincere, nonostante le generazioni si rincorrano dando volti nuovi ma anche nuove speranze e nuove certezze alla passione Roma.

LI MANDA MANGIA – Ieri a Casarano ce n’erano quattro di giallorossi con l’Under 21. Tre in campo e uno in tribuna perchè leggermente acciaccato. Uno, Florenzi, ormai quasi titolare di Zeman, Viviani, in prestito al Padova, Frasacatore, in prestito al Sassuolo e Crescenzi (quello in tribuna) in prestito al Pescara. Su Florenzi ci eravamo sbilanciati in tempi non sospetti, al suo esordio con l’Under 21, proprio un anno fa quando Ferrara lo convocò un po’ a sorpresa. Aveva nelle gambe una sola partita di serie B, giocata da terzino destro perchè Menichini non aveva nessuno da mettere lì e gli aveva chiesto se se la sentisse. Dopo un anno di Crotone e di Under 21, Florenzi ha esordito in serie A dal primo minuto con la maglia della Roma annichilendo l’Inter (gol di testa) e il suo dirimpettaio Guarin, non uno qualsiasi.

VIVIANI – E’ stato meno fortunato di Florenzi. Se lo scorso anno fosse andato via in prestito, si sarebbe risparmiato il tichi-taca e tutto il resto. Ma non è mai troppo tardi per uno come lui. Adesso è a Padova, dovrà stringere i denti e sgomitare, ma la classe c’è e non è acqua. Ieri con un tracciante di destro da fuori area ha gonfiato la rete del Liechtenstein. Forse il gol più bello del pomeriggio.

FRASCATORE – In prestito al Sassuolo, ha passo, fisico e tempi d’inserimento giusti. Gli manca ancora l’esplosività atletica e la convinzione nei suoi mezzi. Resta un’ipotesi di ottimo esterno sinistro, ma deve far presto a venire fuori. La personalità non è merce facile e Frascatore deve tirarla fuori da qualche parte di se stesso.

CRESCENZI -
Ha già giocato in serie A con la maglia giallorossa ma non riesce a… tornare nonostante la Roma non abbondi certo di esterni bassi. Intanto è stato ri-promosso nel massimo campionato anche se con questo Pescara sarà dura. Di certo non gli manca il carattere. A Trigoria sono pregati di prestare più attenzione al biondino.

from the Corriere dello Sport is interesting, discussing our options at full-back in the absence of Balzaretti ("vice"-Balza, if it pleases you). Balza is out for only three weeks, it is hoped, and hopefully back in time for Juventus away on the 29th, meaning he will miss Bologna (h), Cagliari (a) and Samp (h). The most natural replacement for him is Dodo, but has still not returned to regular training yet due to his dodgy ginocchio so is not an option. There is Taddei, of course, who is a very nice versatile squad player who always does a job for you, it has to be said, and then there is Marquinho, who can be converted into an attacking left-back, much like Balza, but doubts remain over his defensive qualities. He may a good option at home to defensive sides, for sure, but for the likes of Juve away I certainly would not play him there. The surprising name to crop up for left-back, though, is Marquinhos. He was tried there yesterday during training in a game against our Allievi side, and it says he has played at full-back, left or right, back in Brazil, so Zeman is keen to try him there. Also, with Piris away on international duty, he may not be fit enough for Bologna, so we could see Taddei at right-back and one of Marquinho and Marquinhos on the left.

IL MESSAGGERO (M. Ferretti) - Secondo l'edizione odierna de Il Messaggero Panagiotis Tachtsidis, dopo la partita contro l'Inter, potrebbe nuovamente giocare come regista, spostando Daniele De Rossi al ruolo di intermedio di destra. Col greco al centro, continua il quotidiano, la manovra è stata più fluida, mentre durante la partita col Catania DDR (schierato regista) era stato accusato di avere portato troppo il pallone. Con Pana in mezzo, invece, aumenta il numero di verticalizzazioni della manovra giallorossa (40% contro il 35% della prima giornata di campionato). La scelta comunque non è da considerarsi definitiva: Zeman infatti ha già spiegato di volere utilizzare De Rossi come regista o intermedio a seconda dell'avversario e niente va dato per scontato.
