I always thought Melo's passing was under-rated.

So that's Llorente confirmed he won't sign a new contract at Bilbao and that he'd like to play in a different league.

Marrotta has also confirmed that Juve are interested in Llorente.

It's certainly a move I would approve of.

Scores plenty goals, but is also an excellent target man who leads the line well and is comfortable holding the ball up and getting involved in the play.

Makes far more sense to me than many of the forwards Juve have been linked to this summer.

Well, Matri can stay as backup CF and win his place back over the course of the season...

Regardless of how good Matri is, Conte seemed to completely lose faith in him in the second half of last season for some reason.

Matri's form was poor and he deserved to be left out of the team on occasion, but it's not like Quagliarella or Borriello were putting in brilliant displays that warranted extended runs in the team.

Initial offer for Llorente seems to be 16m to the club and 3.5m per year to the player.

GdS thinks Juve have an agreement with Llorente for 3.5m per year and it's now just a question of negotiating a fee with Athletic Club.

That's not too much compared to what we would have to give RVP but it's still a lot of money.

Isn't Llorente just a bit of a big lanky lummox? A bit of a Luca Toni if not as powerful, a bit of a Peter Crouch if not as awkward? Is he that skillful? Is he really what Juventus need? (aside from a few fair play and good ethics manuals, naturally)

Yeah, I think Llorente is a bit underrated. He's a prety good technical player for his size. He also scored 30 goals in 53 games last season, which is a pretty decent record.

I agree that Dzeko might be the better option, but I wouldn't be at all disappointed if we ended up with Llorente.

Lichtsteiner 'interested' in PSG

Paris Saint-Germain are raiding Serie A again, as Stephan Lichtsteiner’s entourage are quoted as saying the Juventus star is “interested” in a move.

Carlo Ancelotti’s club has already taken Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer.

According to Calciomercato.it, Juve would be willing to listen to an offer of €15m for their right-back.

“Stephan arrived in Italy from Lille, but when he joined Lazio there had already been a concrete interest from PSG and we spoke to them, but decided to try out a new experience in a different league,” said an unnamed member of Lichtsteiner’s entourage.

“Obviously PSG are a very interesting club with an excellent structure. They have an important project, a great Coach like Ancelotti and a great technical director in Leonardo. It would be an honour for Stephan to play for Ancelotti.

“At the same time he is very happy in Turin. The Bianconeri also have an important project for the future and he is part of it, so there’d be no real reason to leave Juventus.

“The decision is down to Juventus. If they decide to sell Stephan, then obviously he would be interested in joining PSG.

“The certain thing is that the player wants to know his future in the next four or five days, because he is very ambitious and wants to prepare as best as possible for next season.”

Swiss right-back Lichtsteiner has also been linked with Chelsea.

“The situation is different, as I can confirm they know the player very well and really want him, but the Londoners might not want to spend that much money for a right-back.”
