Frenchesco, it looks like it's just you and me, my friend. What a fantastic first half - due in no small way to Udinese's preparedness to come out and attack us. It's been fantastically open with some brilliant technical football from both sides. Such a different game from last night's! How good was the build-up to Taddei's goal and then how terrible his attempts to finish. Ah well, we'll take it. He looks as though he needs a little bit of confidence so I'm sure that goal will do him a lot of good. I thought Cassetti was terrific until he went off - he's in such a good vein of form at the moment. DDR's passing has been woeful, but we'll let him off for what he contributes around the park. In Chris's "give-a-shit" rating, Mancini must be scoring pretty darn high. He's been working pretty hard up and back down that flank and that ball to Max was just sensational. Philippe looks a little off-the-pace still and with the Doughnut behind him that gives one more than a little cause for concern.

Seems its once again between us two gentlemen. We've heard so much BS last year about Inter & Roma being competitive because Juve was in B & Milan with a -8 deduction. Yet,one year later, after that we've heard for the whole summer people saying this will be a very open championship, its the same exact story. Inter & Roma upfront with the rest trying to keep the pace(without succeeding).

Lomba, you must be feeling pretty complacent then - if the only competition Inter have for the Scudetto is a team whose chances of winning it are laughable. Presumably you ought to follow Briz's example and bet your caravan on it.

Happy birthday Pocari; I hope today's performance rounded out an excellent weekend and you've been hitting the pocari pretty hard to help you over your hangover.

How good was Juan today? And Giuly? I thought they both had their best games yet in giallorosso. It would have been nice to have seen Totti come in for Mancini at the end given how much space we had at that stage but clearly Brighi was the more sensible option. We missed Totti's vision and precision through the middle today - Udinese are always going to give away a lot of space on the flanks, but with only Vooch in the middle we never really looked like getting on the end of any of the crosses in the second half. Still, an excellent, dominant second half except for that extraordinary blip when we did our best to give away another couple of points.

Grasso, don't be an ass. Give the girl a call - this is basic 'reverse dump' stuff. It doesn't cost you much to make the call; you tell her how great she is and you wish you were right for her but that she just deserves someone better, that you can't give her what she needs and deserves and so it really hurts you to have to admit it, but she's so much better off without you and she'll be with the nice guy she deserves before she knows it. You know the drill - basic stuff. And then you move on, hook up with her sister and bang her really loudly all next weekend.

thank you thank you Maro....... we're still second, of course im happy. goal aside, Juan was pretty good, helping out and making interceptions on the quick passes that were going on in our left rear. that interception where he cuts it between the 2 players and takes it out and gets hacked by Pinzi was stellar. he was bringing the attack from defense and did well to get Pinzi struck out and Dossena somehow as well. Giuly seemed decent enough to have the ball spread across the pitch and keep our plays flowing and most times taking it up himself but clearly he ran out of steam at the end. there were plays in the second half when Giuly would have it and could probably outrun the defender but swoops back to have Vucinic come in for the dummy switch. one thing i desired in this game was for Vucinic to be a bit more selfish with his shots. most times he would dribble ever so close to the keeper to lure him out and still look to center it to no one. with some of the stuff he's pulled on, he could've went for goal. Mancini also pulled in a record amount of shots taken only to be blocked. in one of the plays where Vucinic spreads the keeper wide with a shot and it bounces to Mancini, i was hoping for a signature lob shot to the back post to avoid the keeper and the defender running across to save the goal but nooooooooooooo takes a shot right into the keeper's feet. oh, scary moment when right after Udinese were down to 9 men, Qualiarella and Di Natale woke the fuck up and started rushing us like nuts and forced a crucial save out of Doni.

shield - i hope you have a link to today's game for our multimedia tabernacle. if not, can you (or anyone else that may know) please post a link to your usual source(s)? the boneheads at fox sports in canada decidied to carry inter-fiorentina on tape delay (rather than the roma game that is scheduled in the u.s. at the same time slot) after they already showed it live this morning.

great result for us. cant wait to see the game after reading the comments here. i also happened to catch the highlight of quagliarella's goal at the tail end of la giostra dei gol which was something else!

how about that euro draw?? looks like gatusso will actually get his opportunity to teach domedick "another lesson".
