Yes but Huntelaar would be better than Gilardino, no? Gilardino is still your top-scoring striker but is someway of the mark to be your main centre-forward, I think. Huntelaar would bring more goals. And what about Pato, would mould of striker is he, any comparisons?

And I have heard before that Juventus have a first-option on Huntelaar, anyone know if thats true?

Milan Step Up Amauri Interest


AC Milan are stepping up their interest in Palermo striker Amauri and could make a bid for the player as early as January. The Corriere dello Sport is claiming today that the Rossoneri are starting to lose their patience with injury-bedevilled star Ronaldo.

El Fenomeno only made his first appearance of the season for the Rossoneri against Cagliari last Sunday, however he then picked up another injury while warming-up before the Champions League match with Benfica in midweek. This calf problem has ruled Ronaldo out of tomorrow’s crunch Serie A clash with Juventus, and leaves him in a race against time to be fit for the Club World Cup in a fortnight’s time.

The European Champions only currently have two other forwards in their first-team squad, Filippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino. The former, despite his goalscoring exploits in Europe, has not hit the back of the net in Serie A for 11 months. Meanwhile Gilardino has failed to convince many of his pedigree.

This has led the Milan hierarchy to step up their interest in Palermo’s Brazilian hitman Amauri. The 27-year-old, who has scored five Serie A goals this term, has been linked with the Rossoneri for some time now. It is also believed that due to the large Brazilian contingent already present in the Milan squad, Amauri would fit in to his new environment nicely.

With no Camoranesi, I expect a boring 0-0 draw. He was the one who could have changed the equilibrium of the match for Juve.
For Milan,we all know that much is relied upon Kaka and mainly Pirlo,but with Juve's aggressive approach on the player who holds possession,I can already foresee a human cage on Pirlo & Kaka.

Im just wondering, what difference would it have been if Milan had no Ronaldo on our books this season??? absolutely nothing. He's useless. Gila, and to a lesser degree, Pippo have been getting all the workload in attack for us, and I dont see this changing until Pato becomes eligible next month

As for tomorrow's game, Milan traditionally struggles with freshly promoted sides, so its gonna be a tough one for us

some players.. especially older ones.. do a lot of behind the scenes training/teaching work... fatR9 might be walking down that road.

Riquelme ineligible for Club World Cup says FIFA

LONDON, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Argentina's Juan Roman Riquelme cannot play for Boca Juniors in the Club World Cup next month, FIFA said on Friday.

Riquelme had hoped his return to Boca from Spanish club Villarreal, sealed on Thursday in Buenos Aires, would give him the chance of playing in the tournament in Japan.

However, the Argentina midfielder's transfer was too late for his inclusion in Boca's squad for the seven-team Dec. 7-16 tournament by the Nov. 23 deadline.

"FIFA can confirm that the Argentina playmaker will not be eligible to take part in the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup in Japan," world soccer's governing body said in a statement on its Web site (www.fifa.com).

Riquelme played a key role in Boca's qualification for the tournament, inspiring them to their sixth South American Libertadores Cup title earlier this year while on loan from Villarreal. (Reporting by Lucas Bergman, editing by Rex Gowar and Trevor Huggins)
