Pizarro's not gone, he's just been left out of the squad for the friendlies in the US, and his absence is a bit of a surprise I think. Perrotta's absence is also a surprise. It would appear Zeman doesn't fancy them and it certainly doesn't bode well for their future, but does it mean we'll move them on? Okaka is also left out – I thought he may be included.

The Stekelenburg rumours are getting stronger alright, it would appear Zeman is not quite convinced of him. He done ok for us last season; a solid, if not spectacular keeper. I felt a lot of people overhyped him, expecting him to be a great commanding keeper, but I had lower expectations. He's still the best keeper we have (Curci would have been nice but Stek probably is stronger) but if a few deals happened to move him on with a view to getting someone else in i wouldn't mind too much.

All sorts of reports that Destro deal will be done today. €7M and co-ownership of Piscitella to Genoa for full ownership I think? Not sure if its full or co. Verre is also mentioned in the deal but I think to Siena on loan, via Genoa? Also possibly Borriello included. All sorts goin on but looks like its happening.

I like Pizza, he's a great bit of stuff, although that image of him kissing the Man Shitty crest last season was fuckin ridiculous. I guess he's just not mobile enough for Zeman's midfield: its more Tachtsidis than Pizarro.

Well, if that's true - and the deal isn't yet official, it seems - then it's a strangely complex deal in which the Siena half involves players from Genoa and Roma both which would mean Genoa's buying of the other half can't be thought of independently from Roma's buying of the whole.

Yeh, thats the part which confused me, both Lamanna and Verre going to Siena. Its a strange deal, but all parties involved seem confident Destro will end up at Roma. We shall see. Good deal, as long as we don't lose full ownership of Verre (and Piscitella, but particularly Verre).

No deal yet for Destro as you said, but Genoa president Preziosi said a deal is close: "if there are no hitches, then the sale of Destro could be sealed by tomorrow."

What a mess. Apparrently, the rubentus slime offered Destro 1.8 million per season whereas Roma offered 1.5 million. Allegedly, Roma has raised that the wage now at 2 to 2.5 million which includes bonuses and other incentives. I don't have a good feeling.
