Comparing Canna's contributions to the WC win to Torres' Euro contribution isn't close. 06' lacked a "Messi" type player for club. So his amazing (and that's what it was) performance in the WC was warranting some recognition.

Such lists and such awards are a load of toss - surely everyone with half a brain knows this? I just don't think that Torres's inclusion in there is any more egregiously foolish than is standard for such things. Didn't he win the golden boot at the Euros, after all?

Lampard won trophies last season, sure (I even forgot they won the CL – they didn't really, did they?), but he didn't have a great season and is on the way down and not the same player anymore (I wonder will he leave Chelski), and i just mentioned him as one who shouldn't really be there ahead of DDR, who had a great season. I agree those lists are a loada crap anyway, but its just annoying to see certain big-name players there ahead of the likes DDR who never really get the recognition (as in the grafters never do). Balotelli was also on the list, ffs.

about Bradley saying his "move to Roma is the biggest ever by a US field player" (wtf is a 'field' player). My favourite part has to be how it claims he may struggle for game time as "their midfield is still stacked with legendary Francesco Totti, as well as Daniele De Rossi and David Pizarro."
