I take it back ...about the whole friends thing. You just don't get girls. Its hard to come across them if you spend your days and nights at a Starbucks WiFi on SAF. No third star for Juventus

Juventus have confirmed that they will not add a controversial third star to their shirts for next season – but a new motto will be present.

The Old Lady were threatening to place another gold star on to their jerseys to highlight their belief that they have won 30 Scudetti.

The record books, however, because of the two stripped Calciopoli titles, illustrate that the Turin giants have officially won 28.

“The new Juventus shirt will not have the third star on it,” stated Juventus commercial director Francesco Calvo to Sky Sport Italia.

“Instead, under the club logo, will appear the words: ’30 sul campo’ [30 won on the pitch],” he stated after also revealing that the shirt would now have no stars present on it at all.

“Our shirt represents Juventus and their people. Just the club along with all the fans can define our identity.”

Calvo also added that the outfit’s away strip next term will be all black. Juventus’ second jersey in 2011-12 was pink.

One gold star represents 10 Italian championships.

The jerseys are simple and nice. I like the all black jerseys.
The Nike rep points out that it's the 10 year anniversary of Juve-Nike. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence but we have the all black, and pink jersey just like 03/04, i thought that was pretty cool. Hopefully we can make up for that disappointing season this year.

Apparently Nike made the jerseys with two stars before the Juve mgmt. confirmed the 3 stars or "30 sul campo". So the fans only have the choice between 2 or 3 stars, not the no stars version the players are going to wear. And the 3 star version(one ironed above of the other two stiched stars) looks tacky imo. This whole 3rd star thing has been poorly handled by both parties. Juventini have been kind of f*cked over this year in this aspect.

Buffon, Juve’s new No 10?

There is speculation that Juventus’ search for a successor to Alessandro The Waterboy’s No 10 shirt may stop with goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Interest this summer surrounds who will take famous shirt number at the club, after The Waterboy’s departure this summer. Speculation has pushed Sebastian Giovinco to the shirt and also transfer target Stevan Jovetic, whilst President Andrea Agnelli yesterday admitted that it is a decision that carries significance.

The Gazzetta dello Sport believe that goalkeeper Buffon is a surprise contender for the shirt and that he would be prepared to drop his No 1 jersey to take it.

This is understood to be an attempt from the ‘keeper to avoid internal disputes in the dressing room arising over the destination of the No 10 and so as to remove the burden that any replacement to The Waterboy would otherwise face.

This would not be Buffon’s first experience of a less-than-traditional number, as during his days at Parma he wore the No 88 and No 77 shirts.

I think it's ridiculous. If you don't want to put the pressure of the #10 on a player. then don't give it out. Personally, I think they should just give it to Giovinco, if not Marchisio. The Waterboy was just a kid when he inherited the jersey from Baggio, lets not make a big deal out of this.
