Was watching Inter channel yesterday evening; Silvestre and Andanovic are not only official but where already training at Pinzolo yesterday. Regarding other transfer news, I think getting rid of Forlan's salary was a good move. Next I think we should try and sell JC for a good price. I cannot believe that no team is interested in one of the top 3 keepers in the world. Mudingayi is a not Inter material in my opinion ... I would rather do my best to try and buy Poli.

@Lomba - Pazzini is a good striker. He just had a bad season like almost everybody else in the team. I would think twice before letting him go.

As a conclusion I can say that I am happy with the fact that we are getting rid of the older players (apart from JC that is) but not happy with the new players bought till now. Moratti will not convince me that with this team we can challenge for the scudetto, despite the abcence of other great teams.

I too believe Pazzini is an excellent striker and finisher..it's just that his game is not compatible with ours. He needs crosses and needs to be left alone in the middle of the penalty area, but with our lack of flanks power and Milito up there, he'll just keep losing himself. I wish him to find a club more suited to his characteristics.
With regards to our ambitions, I believe it is obvious that for this season, we are targeting a CL place. Moratti also knows this very well, though he's in a position to not say it so lightly.

Silvestre to fulfil Samuel dream

New Inter signing Matias Silvestre says he has realised a dream by being able to play alongside Walter Samuel.

The defender completed a loan move to the Nerazzurri yesterday and he’s keen to star with his former Boca Juniors colleague.

“I was 16 and I had just been added to the Boca first team squad,” the Argentine told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I never got the chance to play in the same side as Samuel, but that was always a desire.

“Therefore I can now realise a childhood dream by playing alongside him for real.”

The 27-year-old will also be reunited with Rodrigo Palacio after he joined the Stadio Meazza boys from Genoa.

“He was with me at Boca and he is a dear friend,” the former Catania man added. “He’s bombarded me with messages in recent weeks, asking me to not join Milan…”

Silvestre was wanted by a number of clubs across Europe, but he insists that the Nerazzurri were always his top option.

“I left my agent to sort everything out, even if I always wanted Inter. I’ve been tempted by their jersey for some time.”

Silvestre is uncapped at international level and could soon be the subject of a tug-of-war between Argentina and Italy.

“My first aim is to win a place at Inter,” he added. “I’ve heard that Italy boss Cesare Prandelli wants to call me up and that is pleasing.

“I’ve also spoken to the Argentine Coach, but it is too soon for that now. I’m only thinking of Inter. This is a chance of a lifetime and I don’t want to waste it.”

Paulinho to Inter for €8m?

Reports from Brazil are suggesting that Inter have done a deal for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

Officials from the Italian club have been in South America over the last few days and an agreement for the 23-year-old has apparently been settled.

It is understood that the Brazilian international, whose contract at Corinthians expires in 2015, will cost around €8m.

The player helped Corinthians win the Copa Libertadores this season.

Stramaccioni won’t block Inter sales

Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni says Wesley Sneijder is key to his plans – but he wouldn’t veto any eventual sale.

“Sneijder is fundamental from a technical and tactical point of view, but I can’t say that he is not for sale,” the Coach stated this afternoon after arriving at their PInzolo training base on Friday.

“That would be an abuse of my power. I would only ask the President to think carefully should an important offer arrive.”

Inter are in the middle of revamping their squad after releasing Lucio and Diego Forlan, while telling Julio Cesar and Dejan Stankovic that they are not part of their plans.

“The directors are united and there is constant contact with the President,” the former youth team boss continued.

“Let’s say that no player will arrive who I do not like. It is important that we get players who can improve our squad and fit with the way we want to play.

“Julio Cesar? Inter have the right to make the decisions which they feel are best. I have no problem with Julio Cesar and his value is not under discussion. He’s amongst the best goalkeepers in the world.”

Inter had a disastrous last campaign and Stramaccioni was their third boss of the season as they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

“We have a new squad and I feel at the centre of the project,” the former Roma youth sector tactician continued.

“We have to be ready in less than 25 days and the preliminary rounds of the Europa League can be dangerous. The Europa League is important for us and we care about it.

“I want a motivated side, with the desire to work hard and transform the results of last season,” he continued.

“We have little desire to make promises, but a lot of desire to work. We want to do our talking on the pitch. I’m focused and convinced of the work that we are doing.”

Pazzini: I’m leaving Inter

Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini has revealed that he will leave the Nerazzurri this summer.

Speaking at the club’s pre-season training facility in Pinzolo, the Italian international announced that he is not part of the outfit’s plans for the future.

“I think that the club have made their decisions and I believe that I am not part of the project,” he admitted. “I’ll look to work hard in an attempt to change their minds, but I have always been honest and I am being so now too.”

The 27-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at Inter in January 2011, following a fantastic spell at Sampdoria where his partnership with Antonio Cassano helped lead the side to the Champions League qualification spot for the 2011-2012 season.

Pazzini scored 11 goals in 17 appearances in the second half of the 2010-2011 season for Inter before falling out of form and managing a mere five in 33 appearances last season.

Pazzini is of interest to Sampdoria and may also be targeted by Lazio.

Inter: Pazzini staying, Lucas wanted

Inter President Massimo Moratti claims that Giampaolo Pazzini is going nowhere, while he’s fuelled suggestions of a move for Lucas.

Pazzini has stated that he is no longer part of the project at San Siro and Brazilian ace Lucas, of Sao Paulo, has admitted contact with the Beneamata.

“Pazzini will continue to be one of our strikers,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia. “He’ll remain at Inter. His words were just an emotional outburst.

“As for Lucas, he’s not just a dream but an objective. We are certainly thinking about him, but we’ll have to see if there are the conditions in place to close the deal.”

The oil baron was inevitably asked for his thoughts on Julio Cesar, the Brazilian goalkeeper who has been told to find a new team after the arrival of Samir Handanovic.

“Julio Cesar will always be a great goalkeeper,” Moratti noted. “We have a lot of affection for him, but things change with time…”
