i'm actually quite stunned at the moment. i did not see this coming. although when galliani said that the chances of ibra and thiago staying were 99.9%, i knew something was off, he's used 200% before, so it was a bad omen.

i'll have to see what happens eventually before commenting on it, but galliani's silence is deafening.

Milan director general Ariedo Braida has cooled suggestions that the club are about to sell Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain. Reports yesterday gathered pace that the Brazilian would be joining the French outfit in a deal that would see the Diavolo net close to €50m.

However, speaking outside the club’s Via Turati HQ on Tuesday, Braida insisted that the central defender was going nowhere.

“You should all stay calm,” he noted. “We will not be selling Thiago Silva.”

Braida’s words come on the morning when a report in Le Parisien suggests that Vice-President Adriano Galliani will fly out to Paris on Wednesday for talks. According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri and Galliani are also present in Via Turati this morning.

There are shock reports that Milan’s negotiations with PSG are for both Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a combined €77m deal. Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani is in Paris for talks with director general Leonardo and confirmed “it will be a long negotiation process.”

According to RMC Sport, the reason is that Thiago Silva is not the only player being discussed. The Parisians would offer €47m including bonuses for the Brazilian defender plus €30m for Ibrahimovic in a huge €77m deal.

“Thiago Silva’s departure is an enormous loss and could push Zlatan to leave Milan,” sources close to the players told RMC radio.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim there is no truth to these rumours of a double swoop for the two Rossoneri heroes. PSG are also close to securing Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi after qualifying for the Champions League under Coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Today Antonio Cassano was irritated at the news Thiago Silva is in negotiations for a sale, pointing out he represents “50 per cent of the team.”

so the price for thiago is set, does man.city come knocking next? when, where will it stop?

Some good articles on Ibra from the english media on the eternal debate on just how good he is. I have to say, I hate the way he was always put down in the english media and how he was always seen as being overrated, so its good to see him get some recognition:

The Telegraph's sport section is excellent, with proper journalists, not surprising they're the ones giving a good account of Ibra.

It's just the sh*tty little rags like The Sun and The Star that watch him like twice a season that try and convince equally stupid football fans in the UK that he's overrated.

Milan Acerbi co-own, Constant loan

Genoa have revealed the details of their deals with Milan, officially handing over Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant today. “Genoa Cfc announce we have taken 50 per cent of Francesco Acerbi’s contract from Chievo Verona and consequently sold half his contract to AC Milan,” read a statement. “Also finalised with AC Milan today was the transfer of Kevin Constant on loan with the Lombardy club having the option to buy at the end of the season.”

The bid for 25-year-old Constant had been something of a surprise, but the reasoning emerged later this evening. He is seen as a replacement for Sulley Muntari, who today underwent surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. The injury will keep the Ghana international out for six months.

What is the story with Genoa giving so many players to Milan on the cheap? First that bizarre transfer with Boateng who was signed by Genoa just to give to Milan, and now these latest transfers. Acerbi showed a lot of promise and was linked to a few different clubs so they could have made a bit of money of his sale if they wanted, and Constant was one of their better players this season, but yet they just give him to Milan on loan?! Its like they're a feeder club or something. Or is Preziosi Berlusconi's bitch or something? If I were a Genoa fan i don't think id be too happy about it.
