Colpo d'occhio desolante, ma a San Siro quest'anno non è una novità. Anche ieri, di fatto, l'Inter ha giocato fuori casa. Molto più rumorosi i 5.000 tifosi giunti da Istanbul: nel deserto del Meazza sembravano almeno il doppio. In totale il dato parla di 24.203 spettatori (17.322 paganti e 6.881 abbonati).

Certo, l'appeal di Psv, Cska e Fenerbahçe non è granché, ma ciò non basta a giustificare tanta indifferenza nella competizione internazionale più importante a livello di club. Fanno effetto i 27.346 spettatori per Inter- Psv, e la gara era già fondamentale per le sorti nerazzurre, perché seguiva il k.o. di Istanbul. Ancor più bassa l'affluenza contro il Cska Mosca: 22.385 paganti. Numeri lontani dal resto d'Europa: ieri per Siviglia-Arsenal c'erano 35.529 spettatori, per Olympique Lione-Barcellona 38.113, per Stoccarda- Rangers 51.300. E che dire dell'Old Trafford: a vedere Manchester Utd-Sporting Lisbona erano in 75.162.

Inter Set To Hijack Juve’s Diego Deal

Tuttosport is today suggesting that Inter Milan may be set to hijack Juventus’ move to sign Werder Bremen star Diego.


The Brazilian playmaker is rated as one of the most promising midfielders in world football and recently expressed a desire to move to Serie A.

Juventus have made no secret of their admiration for the 22-year-old and Bianconeri sporting director Alessio Secco recently declared:

“He is strong in the role he plays. Juventus are observing him, however we know that we are not the only ones who are interested.â€

Hodgson returns to Inter

Roy Hodgson has quit the Finland national side for a shock return to Inter as a ‘consultant’ to the President.

The 60-year-old Englishman’s departure from his current job was announced in a short statement from the Finnish Federation.

“The FA would have liked to have continued working with Roy Hodgson with whom Finland went so close to qualifying for the Euro 2008 finals.â€

Dacourt suffers injury blow

Inter’s midfield injury crisis has intensified with the news that Olivier Dacourt will be sidelined for at least a month.

The Nerazzurri are already without star men Patrick Vieira and Luis Figo and Dejan Stankovic is only just returning from a spell on the treatment table.

Dacourt limped off against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi yesterday after just 23 minutes and it is feared that the problem could be serious.

Initial reports suggest that the former Roma man’s knee injury could include damage to the ligaments.

If this proves to be the case, Dacourt will be out of action until the second half of January at best.

APPIANO GENTILE - Under the supervision of Inter's chief of medical staff Franco Combi, French midfielder Olivier Dacourt underwent medical tests this morning to assess the injury sustained in the first half of yesterday's Serie A win at Fiorentina.

The player, who has suffered damage to the collateral ligament and the medial meniscus in his left knee, will undergo arthroscopic surgery.


I have no idea what it means but its a surgery so we can't expect him before a month at least i guess....
