MILANO - Il progetto del nuovo stadio dell'Inter sta per decollare. In maniera definitiva. Ancora 2-3 mesi e poi arriveranno novità importanti, quell'atteso primo passo che segnerà l'inizio di un grande investimento destinato a garantire significativi introiti al club. Un nuovo impianto nerazzurro nel 2016 è tutt’altro che una fantasia. Il modello della nuova casa interista è stato realizzato diversi anni fa, ma la crisi economica ha consigliato ai dirigenti di corso Vittorio Emanuele di frenare in attesa di tempi migliori o di finanziatori interessati a fare un investimento importante. Adesso quei finanziatori stanno iniziando a bussare alla porta nerazzurra. Un primo interessamento c'era stato pochi mesi dopo il triplete da parte di un gruppo del Qatar, mentre un paio di settimane fa il presidente Moratti ha incontrato in Cina i vertici della China Railway Construction Corporation, una delle più importanti società cinesi che si occupa di grandi opere. Alla realizzazione dello stadio, però, sono interessati anche altri gruppi industriali e le loro proposte sono al vaglio della famiglia Moratti.

I also think that a 60,000 spectator stadium would be ideal. We want to have a stadium which does look packed and also create a demand for tickets. Let's not forget that on average we have some 50,000 'abbonati' each year..that means it's already almost full all year round.

'Change of scenery' for Inter's Maicon

“After six years at Inter, the time may well have come for Douglas Maicon to change scenery,” announced his agent.

There had already been rumours of the Brazilian full-back leaving the Nerazzurri and confirmation arrived this evening.

“After six years at Inter, the time may well have come for Maicon to change scenery,” agent Roberto Calenda told Sky Sport Italia.

Among the clubs interested in the veteran are Paris Saint-Germain, who with Carlo Ancelotti and director general Leonardo are repeatedly linked with Milan and Inter players.

Maicon turns 31 next month and came to San Siro from Monaco in 2006-07, notching up 20 goals in 246 games for the club.

Calenda also commented on more potential signings for the Nerazzurri in Brazil.

“I’m sure players like Lucas and Oscar are bound to be associated with Inter, but it’s not easy to negotiate with Sao Paulo. In fact, I think they’re the toughest in Brazil.”

I don't particularly dislike Inter, actually; I was just rather astounded by the complacency with which you consider the appeal of Inter's 'history' and 'fans' and 'tradition' and PSGs. I just thought you were letting your devotion as a fan cloud your judgement and so were coming across a little like those Premiershite fans do who chunter on about theirs being the greatest league in the world.

Napoli have confirmed that Goran Pandev has been signed outright from Serie A rivals Inter following his successful loan spell.

The Macedonian international moved south last summer on a temporary basis and did enough to convince the Azzurri of his ability.

Pandev, 28, was not assured of a starting shirt but still ended up with six goals in 30 League appearances for Walter Mazzarri’s team.

The former Lazio player has signed a contract until June 2015, but the deal has an option for a further 12 months.

Pandev has cost Napoli €7.5m.
