loazzi, i've only also read mediocre reports about castan. it looks like we're still getting him, though. which might not be so bad, since zeman could possibly turn him into the next aldair. that said (your favorite phrase right there), it looks like zeman's centrebacks will have even more responsibility than lucho's. the full-backs will be just as attacking as they were under LE, and DDR will not play so deep, so they will be even more exposed. we will need absolute studs in those positions - kjaer and castan may not cut it, despite potential improvement. how about dede/burdisso as the optimal pairing with astori/musacchio/antei as backups?

i like santon, i hope we get him. i wouldn't be any less pleased with someone like michel bastos or alvaro pereira, though. on the right, i hope rosi and crescenzi share the spot.
