Of course the press gave him the opportunity to praise himself for such a stroke of genius merely by asking the question..... why? We really need to open a Mancini thread. Is it me, because the more I see him the more I want to punch him in the face. How about this brilliant comment after Roma beat Inter at the San Siro last April:

Don't worry, Liverfuckingwanking-robthewalletsofthedeadontheground-a-scum will still go out – they are away to Marseille in the last game and a draw will be enough for the French side (providing Porto win at home to Besiktas). They just got lucky last night against a tired Porto team.

Anyway, onto the important stuff, great win the other night. My boy getting the man-of-the-match as well as bagging his first-ever hatrick – who says it wasn't? He clearly got a touch there, old man Panucci has enough goals, screw him. Great to see us hammer out an impressive high-scoring away win. United may have maximum points but we're not that far behind them and could of been so much different if we had of got at least a draw in our encounter in Wankchester. I have to say I was dissapointed that they got that last-minute winner over Sportin the other night and so made the next game irrellevant (from their point of view anyway). We would still be already through, but then have the chance to stuff the fuckers and claim top-spot. Fucking Sporting. 'Sir' tender Alex is a sly of dog though, he wanted that win the other night and have top-spot secured because the next game after United's mid-week meeting with us is against none other than Liverfucking'scum. Now with a big game like that he will certainly be resting the big guns and some have said they may even field a youth team. Anyway, I know it doesn't really matter either way, but an Irishman never forgets, and never forgives. I wanted Manchester blood (on the pitch, woooa, just on the pitch) in that game, stuffing them 4-0 or such in a game that mattered. But I agree with what was already said, our time will come with them, perhaps in the semi's. For the next round, I wouldn't mind getting Sevilla (they'll win their group), or Porto, or even the Combat Brigade Chel$ki. Even a big scalp like Real wouldn't be so bad (and we would take them), but must avoid Barca. We'll take them in the final.

I would prefer it were Chievo in the CL again, they would do better. If Lotito had of bothered to spend more than €.50 on a player then maybe they would of had a chance. Apparently Madrid's after Vucinic now they want to buy Lecce's half of the contract and Lecce wants 10 mil. I think its media BS whenever a striker scores a couple of goals they are automatically linked with Madrid

Now I'm confused. I thought we had secured all of Mirko's contract? Or at least the option to secure all of his contract. There is an agreement to pay Lecce €7.5m over the next two years, but no Lecce want more? How can they do that??

I was under the impression we owned half of him and were in the process of paying for the other half with this agreement below. How can Lecce change what they want for him?

Roma S.p.A. rende noto di aver esercitato il diritto d’opzione per l’acquisizione a titolo definitivo, con accordo di partecipazione, del diritto alle prestazioni sportive del calciatore Mirko Vucinic, a fronte del riconoscimento all’U.S. Lecce di un corrispettivo di € 7,5 milioni, oltre IVA, da pagarsi in due annualità (di pari ammontare) tramite LNP, a decorrere dalla stagione sportiva 2007/2008; la cessione del diritto di partecipazione agli effetti patrimoniali del diritto alle prestazioni sportive del Calciatore, da parte di A.S. In other news, it seems like the Ultra's are on strike for Udinese on Sunday, and are planning on leaving the Curva Sud completly empty, and apparantly are going to gather at the Circo Massimo and listen 'on the radio'. Seems all very fine but what it is going to achieve? All the reasons they are giving seem very fine and fancy and poetic, but lets just hope it doesn't lead to more riots:

Sono gli stessi ragazzi ad annunciarlo con un comunicato pubblicato dal sito Asromaultras.org e letto nelle trasmissione radiofoniche: "Tifoso della As Roma - si legge - Ultras della Curva Sud, semplice utente di questo calcio industria o illuso e romantico sostenitore di un ideale e di uno stile di vita, a te rivolgiamo queste righe per spiegare il perché, domenica prossima in occasione di Roma -Udinese, la Curva Sud dovrà rimanere vuota di passione e di persone. La morte di Gabriele Sandri sembra si stia dimenticando, superata e sepolta da un sistema deviato che salvaguarda se stesso ed i propri interessi a discapito di tutto il resto. Tutto viene e sarà stravolto, distrutto e ricostruito con l' unico obiettivo di essere strumento per i classici e soliti giochi di potere; è quello che sta accadendo, ora come sempre.
