So what would folk do for the Coppa Italia Final since Chiellini will miss it?

I'm assuming Juve would have played 3-5-2 had he been fit.

Would you just put Caceres in for Chiellini and keep that shape or do you go to 4-3-3?

My inclination would be to stick with 3-5-2 and just play Caceres. The way Juve controlled the home game against Napoli playing that shape is hard to ignore.

Yeah I'd go with the 3-5-2 with Lichtsteiner and Pepe(or Padoin?) as the wing backs. Plus we can always switch to 4-3-3 during the game, if things aren't working out.

Think De Ceglie deserves to keep his place in the team.

Wouldn't argue with Pepe playing ahead of Lichtsteiner on the right, since Lichtsteiner never looks particularly comfortable at wingback.

Whenever Pepe and Lichtsteiner play as wing backs the formation tend to be a lopsided 3-5-2 verging on being a 4-3-3. Not that its a good or bad thing, but just something I've noticed.

Ah, hadn't realised De Ceglie was crocked.

Think I'd go with Estigarribia rather than Pepe on the left. He did well against Maggio in the 3-3 draw earlier in the season, as I recall.

Il secondo episodio è relativo a Siena-Albinoleffe: "Al termine della gara di andata dell'8 gennaio del 2011, l'allenatore in seconda Stellini (ora alla Juve ndr) chiese a me e Terzi di contattare qualcuno dell'Albinoleffe per prendere accordi sulla partita di ritorno, in modo da lasciare i punti a chi ne avesse avuto maggiormente bisogno". Alla vigilia di "Albinoleffe-Siena del 29 maggio ci fu un incontro con Luigi Sala, Dario Passoni (che, a quanto risulta a Repubblica, avrebbe confermato i dettagli dell'incontro, ndr) e Mirko Poloni (...) in quell'occasione, ci accordammo di concedere i punti all'Albinoleffe (...) Doesn't seem to be new news really.

Conte had been linked to the whole thing, but having not been named the other day one would imagine there is a lack of concrete evidence against him.

Poor performance over all. I didn't like the line-up. I would've rather started Pepe or Padoin over Esitgarribia. And even though it was The Waterboy's last game, I would have brought him in the second hal rather than start him.
We should've had a penalty right before halftime, which would've surely made it a completely different game, but it's no excuse.
We clearly missed Chiellini and De Ceglie, and a few other players looked tired (especially Marchisio and Lichtsteiner).
It would have been the perfect ending to this amazing season (and The Waterboy's 19 year career), but hey, I'm not going to complain.
I'm proud of what we've accomplished and hopefully we can pick up a few quality players to reinforce the side.
Forza Juve.

btw it still hasn't hit me yet that The Waterboy will never play for us again...

You could say that starting The Waterboy cost you the Coppa Italia. With him up top, alongside Borriello, you had no mobility or movement and no understanding.

It was also a very hard call for the ref to award a peno for that Aronica challenge. In real time it was impossible to be certain if it was a foul, you could only really see it after watching a few replays, so can't see how the ref could have awarded it.

Yeah, poor performance.

Bad decision to start Borriello and The Waterboy which, as Ed said, guaranteed next to no movement.

Also didn't like starting Storari. Not starting your best team in a final sends out the wrong message.

Team generally lacked intensity - not particularly surprising having just won the title - and the lack of movement meant the game was quite reminiscent of some of the early 3-5-2 games this season.

The game was pretty flat for the most part and just came down to one terrible decision from Storari, while Napoli remained pretty solid.

Still, I don't grudge Napoli the win. The clearly wanted it more and they deserve something to show for their good play over the last couple of years.

Can't say I felt any great sadness at The Waterboy's last game.

I think it's largely to do with my viewing creative attackers with some level of contempt. I just consider there to be a fairly regular string of players like The Waterboy in most generations.

Felt much worse seeing the end of the likes of Nedved or Inzaghi or Shane Warne, because they were people I enjoyed watching and I couldn't envisage there being other players like them coming along to fill the void.

Juve to face Real and Paris SG

Juventus have confirmed that they will play Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in a pre-season tour of North America.

The Italian champions have announced three friendly games as part of their preparations for the 2012-13 campaign.

The Old Lady will face DC United in Washington on 28 July as they kick off their participation in the World Football Challenge tournament.

On 31 July, the Turin giants will meet Carlo Ancelotti’s PSG in Montreal. They will end the tour with a clash against Real Madrid in Las Vegas on 5 August.
