Seems quite evident that Strama thinks that Moratti will opt for someone else. If he is so confident, than it seems he knows something we, as outsiders, don't.
It's a pity. Strama to me has been the one & only highlight of our season. Taking him out of the Primavera after doing such a magnificent job, only to set him free after 6-7 games, thus losing control of his (bright IMO) future, seems complete madness to me and yet another reason why I'm seriously starting to hate our ex-beloved President.

Stramaccioni sees derby triumph

Andrea Stramaccioni’s future on the Inter bench could well be decided by Sunday’s Milan derby. “I want to stay and am giving all of myself.”

The Coach was promoted from the Primavera youth team as their third tactician of the campaign after Gian Piero Gasperini and Claudio Ranieri, but fell to his first defeat at Parma midweek.

“We want to play well and win this game, especially as it comes at a moment in which we are fired up to the max,” said Stramaccioni.

“The city lives the derby atmosphere, also considering the importance of what is at stake. Is it decisive for my future? That is not a question for me. I think my work will be judged overall and this game will help people form a judgement on me. You’ll see what we want to prove tomorrow.

“Preparing for the derby means understanding what condition the players are in, both psychologically and physically. I will choose 11 players to start who are at 101 per cent. Everyone wants to play the derby and it is my job to pick the 11 in the best shape.

“I hear it said that the pressure is on Milan to win for the Scudetto, but we too need to and want to get the victory on Sunday night. It is both to reach our objectives and because it’s simply a derby, so until the last second of injury time both sides will give their all to win it.

“I know we are facing a team that is in front of us in the table and we want to prove there aren’t 22 points separating these squads. I hope Milan have all their stars at their disposal and it’ll be a derby at the highest level.”

It was reported the Nerazzurri would axe Stramaccioni if he failed to secure a Champions League qualifying berth, but they are now trailing Udinese, Napoli and Lazio in the race for third.

“There will be time to discuss the Europa League, but we are playing two crucial games first and want to get six points, then we’ll see where Inter are.

“How much do I want to stay from 0-10? 11. I am giving all of myself for this experience and the real dream was being picked. I feel that I am the Inter Coach and I want to stay here.”

Cordoba announces Inter exit

Inter defender Ivan Ramiro Cordoba has written an open letter to fans announcing “the derby will be my last game as a player at San Siro.”

The veteran has been considering retirement for some time, although he did not confirm whether he would move on elsewhere.

“Dear fans, tomorrow on the occasion of the derby it will be my last game as a player at San Siro,” wrote Cordoba on the official club website.

“I chose to tell you this after talking with President Massimo Moratti, the directors and the Coach.

“Right now I am, as are all of you, concentrated on the game, but there will certainly be the time and place in the next few weeks to talk about my future and remember with great pleasure the 13 seasons we spent together.

“We experienced them with passion, respect and always sharing everything, from the difficult moments to the extraordinary victories.

“As with every match, tomorrow night we need your support.

Ranieri did pretty well in his first few games too, no? Inter have so much quality in their squad it's just ridiculous that they've performed so poorly this season.

Moratti: Inter will keep Stramaccioni

Inter President Massimo Moratti has confirmed that Andrea Stramaccioni will remain as Coach for the 2012-13 season.

The 36-year-old was only given the job in late March after he was promoted from the Primavera set-up to replace Claudio Ranieri.

It was thought that the youngster would only stay in charge for the remainder of the season, but Moratti seems to have been convinced by a resurgence in results.

“I will confirm Stramaccioni,” he told Sky Sport Italia outside of his offices in Milan this morning. “He proved his experience in a derby that really delighted me.”

Stramaccioni, poached from Roma’s youth system, masterminded the 4-2 win over the Diavolo last night which saw Juventus win the title.

“Juve deserved the championship,” Moratti accepted. “I want the controversies to end though.”

Stramaccioni has won five, drawn two and lost one of his eight Serie A games to date.

Moratti has also dismissed suggestions that he would be meeting with Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis today after the latter was spotted in the area this morning.

Reports suggest that Inter want Ezequiel Lavezzi for next term.

I don't trust Moratti. Until everything is done officially I won't believe it.

To answer Maro's question, the commentator was repeatedly saying yesterday that under Raineri Inter were playing more like individuals and winning on their brilliance. Under Strama, we are playing more like a team, especially in attack, with more coordinated moves and patterns. I am quite sure that the likes of Sneijder and Milito are enjoying playing like this.

I also like the fact that he hass certain ideas and is sticking to it even if it means benching big players like Forlan and Pazzini for all the games. He at least has the balls to make such decisions.

Forlan considers Brazilian offer

Diego Forlan could leave Inter after just one season after receiving an offer from Brazilians Atletico Mineiro.

The Uruguayan international has struggled to make his mark since arriving from Atletico Madrid in the summer due to injuries and poor form.

There are reports Forlan has received a proposal from Atletico Mineiro President Alexandre Kalil including a contract worth €3m per season.

Corinthians are also said to be interested, but Forlan would prefer a long-term contract.

He turns 33 later this month and has scored two goals in 20 games for the Nerazzurri.
