Do you see Totti and Baldini. No words are required. Baldini knows Rome and Roma and Totti is Rome and Roma. 40 years I have been supporting this club and those eyes say it all. In a few seconds you can see what it means to be a Roma fan. Listen, gents. I realise this is a game and it serves as a diversion from the stress of life. But being a Roma fan is part of the culture of the city. It is part of life. Just like waking up in the morning and going about life. Roma is a living thing. Totti's eyes are a pathway to history because he grew up as a fan and became the greatest player in the history of the club. It is intense and it means something to ordinary people.

Honest to God when I see Totti so obviously upset and disappointed it pains me to no end. I have seen the same eyes of the players of by gone days because in Rome, our boys have to face the fans. As much as the game has changed Roma players still have to answer to the fans personally, face to face and explain why..............Look at his wife so agitated and worried for Totti. Those 60 seconds demonstrate what it is to be in Rome, and to be a Roma fan. This guy carries the entire history of the club on his shoulders and you can see it in his eyes.

Take a look at my avatar. That's a former owner who had to give up the club for various reasons and he is crying like a baby on the day he left the club. A grown man crying in public and the press was there to commemorate it for posterity. That was 33 years ago.

There is a big protest planned for Trigoria today. The group has asked to speak to LE directly.

If something were to have happened to Totti I would have volunteered to comfort Ilary though. As a fan of the club I'd have sacrificed my own bed for hers. What can I say? I'm selfless like that...

The Giallorossi coach's comments after the draw with Napoli at the Olimpico:

"We were excellent in the first half today then after the break we struggled with their pressing game. Still, we played well overall and although the draw is a fair result I think we deserved more. A win would have been a great morale boost. It's hard for us to perform in this situation where we're held back psychologically and their equaliser did demotivate us a little. I'm happy with the team's performance today; I don't want to talk about individuals but all of the lads and praise them: everyone, even those who didn't play, showed a proper team mentality. On the pitch we tried to produce our brand of football in attack and defence. Napoli must be given credit for getting back in the game - they are a very good side. My future? My future at the moment is on Tuesday in Verona, where we'll try to win like in the other remaining games between now and the end of the season. Once the season is over I'll talk to the club about the problems we've had and the possible solutions and we'll decide what to do."

I saw the first half yesterday, and really liked what I saw. Lots of movement off the ball, and we probably should have had a second. Didn't really get to see the second half, but from what I've read, we were awful for the most part. Can anyone confirm this?

Gago. I've said since before we even signed him that this guy should not be a Roma player. Did anyone listen? No. Look at what he fucking did. Two yards out and he misses a chance that could have given us a two goal lead. Fuck that guy.

Roma were poor for most of the second half, but Napoli also made life much harder for Roma than they had in the first half.

The wingbacks got high up the pitch and the midfield (and Pandev) provided support for Cavani that had been lacking in the first half.

Inler also did a much better job of stopping Roma getting the ball into Totti's feet.

And I wouldn't hold the miss against Gago.

What I would criticise him for was how often he left his DM position far too early and didn't make a tackle or interception, which left Roma looking open and vulnerable.

He was also consistently missing when Pandev was on and causing Roma a lot of trouble playing between the defence and midfield - exactly where Gago ought to have been.
