This is what I mean when I said this could be the end and he'll be gone by tomorrow. He's repeatedly said he has no problems walking away if the tifosi don't want him and he feels like he's not wanted. How much, exactly, it would take to push him over that edge as it were, is unclear. And then Baldini has to recover for him while continuing to say he has full backing and its a long term project etc. etc. Its actually a bit frustrating from LE, I mean a lot of managers would be adamant they're staying and not going anywhere and building for the future and so on, so as to give out clear signals and continue to inspire belief in the players, but sometimes LE just seems to take it a bit too personally by saying he has no problem in going. Like he's not really all that bothered or something. Confused signals at the top don't exactly radiate confidence.

There's no escaping the fact it was a woeful performance in the first-half, seriously low on confidence and looking unsure of ourselves and how to play. They redeemed themselves a little in the second-half – you'd like to think it was the team talk at half-time – but still not enough to win the game, I don't think. We were fortunate with the goal, but then didn't do enough to build on that to go on to get the winner. Taking off a defender (even if it was Heinze, I'm not going there) for Tallo was a bit of knee-jerk reaction and one which left us too exposed and unbalanced and hurt us dearly in the end. I also don't think Tallo is ready for this level at all – I don't want to be too hard on him, it was a difficult game to come in to today – but having watched him a bit for the primavera I don't think he's ready.

La squadra è giù, non dico distrutta ma oggi era veramente dispiaciuta. Credo che c’è grande fiducia e rispetto nell’allenatore. Non parlo a nome degli altri, sembra stucchevole che io stia a difendere l’allenatore. Se mi mandano un allenatore che mi fa vincere lo scudetto farei di tutto per mandare via Luis enrique, ma non credo sia questo il problema.

I suppose what they call the salad days are over under this new ownership. At this point I frankly do not know what to think. Do we have the nucleus of players that we can build around; who are the transfer targets and how much money do we have to spend; will any player on loan or from the primavera be given a good look this summer; do we have players already in the system who can come in and make an immediate impact; can the club continue to support Iglesias with the mounting pressure from the fans.

I think we all need to step back for a moment in the wake of what is now officially become one of the most disappointing seasons since the year of 5 coaches. Transition is difficult and none of us expected to compete for the scudetto. The thing that upsets everyone is that none of the teams challenging for third are worth much and I really thought Roma could sneak in there and take that last CL spot. There is really little to say. It appears from an amateur's point of view that both the coach and the players lack focus. It's going to get worse beforre it gets better so let us all relax.

Pjanic, Totti, Gago, Greco, always behind the ball, and very rarely get ahead of it. This has been our biggest problem this season. The midfield just does not have enough movement going forward, and we're not going to score many goals like that. The only two players that have shown any kind of effort in that respect have been Marquino and Simplicio. Things will not get any better until we can get a good runner or runners in midfield.

I've also found Pjanic very disappointing. I understand he's young, and playing in a new league, but as a player with so much technical quality you would expect to see him to do more to help this team get control of the ball and maintain possession. We should have held on to Pizarro, because as slow as he is, he would at least try to control the ball in midfield, and step up when we need him.
