I bring up Borriello and Amauri because if it's a matter of cost, then the cost can surely be cut elsewhere. If it's a matter of performance then he's been playing well enough to merit a one-year extension. I'm not really debating the figure, plus The Waterboy already said that he'd play for free if they'd let him.

Red, i agree with you in that i have no problem with Juve letting The Waterboy go.
And i slightly agree with Gianni and more so with red, in that his contributions would be limited at best.

However, I will have to say, Gianni, that the manner in which you express your opinions are very extreme and i think thats what gets Bagg and Dino (and morra if he were around) going. I don't know whether you actually believe what you are saying, or if you say it like that for effect or trying to make your point stronger or if youre just trying to hook these reactive fans.

Some players peak earlier than other, and i think The Waterboy is one of those. You cant deny he had great talents, you cant deny he know possesses a great deal of experience, is a motiviational figure for the team and is a respected figure on and off the field (despite some his more recent arrogant comments).
But a lot of Juve fans need to accept reality, he's at the end of the road. Whether you think it happened 10+ years ago like Gianni believes, or just in recent years, he's at the end.

I'm certainly happy he has scored a few goals this season, as i think it's nice for him to go out nicely.
However, i've believed for a few years now that he should have hung up his boots and taken the nice Juve office job thats waiting for him. He can contribute far more off the field than he can on the field.

I dont know if the comment was directed at everyone, but i honestly could care less if you're convinced im a legitimate fan or not.
As i've said many times before, I'm an Azzurri fan first and second, and Juve fan third...I certainly hope Prandelli is not considering The Waterboy (or Totti for that matter) for the NT.
The players you named are also some of my favorites.

Ennio, you know perfectly well what I am talking about. Take Dino for example, he admits he does not watch the games yet he feels he is in a position to judge not just Delboy, but Totti and anyone else who comes to mind. He is not a fan and is as synthetic as they come. Then you have Bagg here who watches the games and cares, but his eyes glaze over at the mention of the Waterboy. This is a guy who wanted to see him start for Italy in 2006 and 2008. Then we have our resident Nazi, Tony, who fits into that Waterboy generation perfectly. It was his comment that sparked my interest in posting in this thread. Morra and many others over the years are the same way.The best part about brainwashing is that they do not know they are brainwashed. I can give example after example of socalled fans who never saw the Waterboy play in his prime who possess this abject hero worship. These people do not really care about rubentus the club, or the overall team as a whole, but are fans of Delboy. You say Baggio to these kids, and they say, who, what? But you say Delboy and they can't stop talking. He is good for pubic relations which was my point. Juve have not kept him around because he is a contributor to the team. He is there simply for purposes of marketing because he has been held out as the symbol of the club since Moggi ordained him as heir to Baggio.

It reminds me of a friendly between Real Madrid and Roma many years back. I had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to a fat, beer guzzling swine who loved The Bald Algerian. He confessed that he was not really a 'soccer fan', only a fan of The Bald Algerian. He talked mostly about how big of a New York Giants fan he was. When The Bald Algerian was taken out of the game, he and his other pal left. You get the point. Oh, and Dino here worships The Bald Algerian.

I am taking Tommaso's advice and not wasting any more time with you, Dino. I forgot how he said it, but he was right. Frankly, there is simply nothing you can say to convince anyone, even self proclaimed rubentus fans, that you are not just a fake, phony, synthetic "fan", who came to "support" rubentus out of spite to piss off your father and other members of your family. Assuming we believe that, however. I think Mr. Fonzarelli characterized it years ago that after much soul searching and deep, contemplative thought, you made the monumental decision to become a Juventus fan. Maybe you can post a picture of your abdomen again to prove you are not fat. Don't forget the rubentus scarf and a bottle of Uliveto.

How'd you like that ass-whooping Roma had to endure for 90 mins the other night? You know, they really haven't been dominant over Juve since the calciopoli. I don't have the record with me (you "saw" all the games and you're the expert) but I can say with confidence Roma havent been that dominant over Juve. When was the last time Roma went undefeated over 34 games?? So what's the excuse this year??
