Aside from the standard of the sides, both teams are likely to have at least two games against teams who have nothing to play for.

Things are lining up nicely for Juve with Inter in a position to make a run for third. Means that Inter may well need a with from the derby, where it looked a few weeks ago like Inter would have nothing to play for by then.

We play Roma this sunday and we get the advantage of knowing Milan's result going into the game.

If anything the pressure is likely to be increased by Milan winning.

Excellent, high-intensity start and that was all that was required.

First time, I think, that Juve have really tried to press when playing 3-5-2 and it was certainly too much for Roma to handle.

Kind refereeing on the second goal and the red card was harsh, but the game was done by then.

Great game from Vucinic, though I suspect he would have had to work rather harder to find those pockets of space between defence and midfield if De Rossi had been playing in midfield.

Juve's title to throw away now.

Juventus remember Fortunato

League leaders Juventus will be going for victory against Cesena today to honour the memory of Andrea Fortunato.

The 24-year-old, a promising left-back, died on this day in 1995 when he sadly lost his battle against leukaemia.

The club’s website remembers the Italian international by recalling the words of Gianluca Vialli at the boy’s funeral.

“We believed you to be invincible,” he emotionally stated.

“In these 11 months you were an example for us, for how you dealt with true problems – not those to do with winning and losing – with courage and calmness, strength and determination.

“We loved you and will keep you in our hearts. Honour to you, our brother Andrea Fortunato.”

Current Juve boss Antonio Conte was also a teammate of Fortunato.

“Conte will have an additional reason to spur his men on to success in Cesena this evening,” the Old Lady’s website continued.

“A success in memory of the unforgettable Andrea Fortunato. Forever in our hearts.”

Juventus signed the former Como and Pisa man from Genoa in the summer of 1993.

Third Juve star is 'provocation'

FIGC Vice-President Demetrio Albertini has warned Juventus not to act as if they’ve won 30 Scudetti. “It would be an act of provocation.”

The Bianconeri are on track to win the title this summer, which would be their 30th on the pitch, but only the 28th officially because the 2004-05 and 2005-06 editions were revoked in the Calciopoli trial.

Juve have made it clear they disagree with that decision and want to mark the 30th Scudetto with a third star on their shirts.

“There are rules and sentences from the sporting justice system that determined certain anomalous situations,” Albertini told Panorama magazine.

“I don’t want to take a position on who was right or wrong, but I will point out Ben Johnson had his Olympic gold medal revoked when he failed a drugs test.

“Putting a third star on the shirt would only be an act of provocation. Anyone can wear the jersey they want to, as only the Scudetto or Coppa Italia symbol is added for the reigning holders.”

Hardly a brilliant performance, but got the job done.

Made plenty chances to take the lead much earlier, but Juve lost their way for a fair chunk of the second half and it was hard to see where the goal was going to come from.

Fortunately, the goal arrived and the game was seen out without much fuss.

Could very easily have been yet another draw against poor opposition due to a failure to take chances, which is exactly why a top class finisher has to be the top priority this summer.

Whoa whoa whoa...top class finisher?? What happened to the great Matri?? Juve paid 15 mil for this guy and all he has is 9 goals to show for it?? Dare I say I was right?? I may not watch as many games as you guys do but I think that doesn't allow me to drink as much Kool-Aid as every one else. After taking a terrible penalty against Roma, Pirlo misses another and makes me wonder...would you have picked someone else?? I'll always say it, this championship should've been wrapped up 2 months ago and we should all be celebrating the victory but they save it for the last minute. Juve don't have an easy road ahead here. These next 4 games make me more nervous than that grueling stretch of hard games last month. No time to be complacent but as a fan I'm very cautious, still. I can't say I have complete confidence in this team and nothing is wrapped up yet. It isn't like Juve dominated these teams last time they faced them .Mark my words, Milan will lose to Inter!

Dino: you're right to be nervous, 3 of the last 4 games are against teams fighting relegation. Particularly the Lecce game will be tougher. Although these are all teams juve should beat and are more than capable of beating, something changes with these relegation fighters. Yesterday it was cesena on the brink, next its novara who are on the brink, then lecce who have an excellent chance of staying up.
Inter are trying to get into 3rd so they'll play their hearts out against Milan.
