I think I still think pretty much what I thought 12 months ago - that Bojan is probably the better player and that it will certainly be interesting to see where the two players are in another 12 months. You?

i don't really know who is 'the better player', but if rossi makes a decent comeback from his injury, i'd much rather see roma drop 40m on him rather than bojan.

I think Bojan will end up better then borini and Rossi.The other two have english football style education.They got great shots, so they get good goalscoring numbers & huge hype in there early days.But Bojan is superior player in running away from markers, he is better technically imo.His prime will be better then the other two

I've never been overly sold on either player, to be honest. Both had the potential (or were built up) to be top-class players (although Rossi isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore at 25), and while Rossi has gone on to prove himself a more than useful, Bojan could go either way I think.

CHARACTER
Baldini's comments about my players? I didn't hear them. When I have to speak to Franco or Sabatini or anyone else I do it in private. Have the players been overestimated from a mental point of view? Maybe you want there to be a battle going on between us, but I don't. All I want to do is get on with my job. I take responsibility every day and my job is to improve the team. I'm not interested in other things.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RACE
Am I ashamed of my players? No, I'm proud of them. I saw their faces after the defeat and they are guilty of nothing. Still, we must improve a lot, not only to reach the level the fans expect but because you should always work to improve. We mustn't think about things that can harm the team. The Champions League? We still want to reach third place but at the moment the table says we're sixth and we've been in this position for a long time. If we're able to produce seven top performances, we have a chance; if we continue as we are then we don't. But I still have the illusion that we can finish third. And the lads are with me on that.

LECCE
What did I think about as we were losing to Lecce? The game. Are the players still following me? Of course they are: when that changes I won't be here any more. No one can say this team won't achieve something in the future. We have young players and I ask you to give them time – they are working very well and they have to mature. We mustn't slaughter them. Let's not spread rumours about arguments in the dressing room. I'm the only person responsible; leave them in peace.

RESPONSIBILITY
Roma always go out to play football and I know that doesn't count for much when you lose. We've come up short in terms of tactics and motivation but that's all my fault. I always speak openly, I'm not afraid. I wake up every morning with my mind set on doing the right thing for my team: maybe I get it wrong, but I do it thinking of what's best for my players. I'm not interested in hearing talk of resignation.

ATTITUDE
This group does not have a mental weakness. It's hard to explain these dips in decisive games but lots of times I've noticed an excellent attitude. We have an extremely tough game against Udinese tomorrow and I'm sure we'll make things difficult for them.

UDINESE
Guidolin is a great coach and he has a very good team. They base they game on possession and they're good at getting the ball forward quickly. They have been ahead of us all season but we're still close to them and we can do it.

I suppose if Juve beat Lazio and we manage to beat Udinese then we'd have gained 3 points on those two, but that'd probably only give us false hope of 3rd - I'm sure we'll have at least one more embarassing result before the end of the season.

Also, Alexander Doni will be playing at Ewood tonight, will be odd seeing him after all his years at Roma...

Ha, good old Doni! Give him a big 'forza Roma' in you get within earshot of him. Then throw a brick at his head for joining the 'scum.

I think i've given up completely on third. There's always hope, of course, and we'll probably raise our game and beat Udinese at home, but like you said we'll almost surely have at least one more embarassing result to feck it all up again.

(redazione ForzaRoma.info) Oggi il compito di cercare di anticipare le scelte di Luis Enrique sembra più facile del solito. Le probabili formazioni redatte dai giornali presi in esame sono praticamente tutte uguali. Vedremo dove il tecnico spagnolo sorprenderà tutti.

David is still a minor and so clearly hasn't discovered the best way to follow Roma is by having an adequate supply of alcohol within grabbing distance of the TV. Usually six beers suffice but a bottle of vodka or JD is also advisable. Until half-time, naturally, at which stage one usually has to leg-it to the offo.
