Gazzetta seems to think Conte is going to go with the 3-5-2 against Napoli this weekend. Didn't we have a horrible first half against them with that formation? Granted it was one of, if not the first game he tried it, and Pirlo had a horrible game, but we did a lont better when he switched it to 4-3-3. I mean, theoretically it should help us cover Cavani in the box, Lavezzi, Maggio and Zuniga on the flanks.

P.S. What happened to Estigarribia? He's played well every time he's played no? He doesn't always make the best choices when it comes to passing/shooting/dribbling, but he hustles on defense and he's probably our fastest player.

Think Estigarribia has just suffered from Juve going back to 4-3-3, as there isn't a place for him in that team.

And he may well not feature if Juve do play 3-5-2 this weekend due to De Ceglie performing well over the last wee while.

I agree that Estigarribia did well when he was in the team, though, and with a little coaching he could be a very useful player.

Juve hesitated when offered Hamsik

Juventus were offered Marek Hamsik before he joined Napoli, former club President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has revealed.

Hamsik joined the Stadio San Paolo outfit in the summer of 2007 for €5.5m, but only after the Old Lady opted against making an offer.

“Brescia President Gino Corioni had a meal with us after a League game,” Cobolli Gigli told Il Mattino in an interview.

“He told me that he had a little jewel at his disposal in Hamsik and that he wanted to give him to us.

“Fortunately for Napoli and their owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, we hesitated.”

The 24-year-old has now developed into one of Serie A’s most effective attacking midfielders and he was Milan’s Mr X last summer.

Hamsik is currently on the wish-list of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Juventus and Napoli will meet in Serie A on Sunday evening.

Leali will join Juventus, say Brescia

Brescia sporting director Andrea Iaconi has confirmed that his club will sell Nicola Leali to Juventus at the end of the season.

The goalkeeper has been heavily linked with the Old Lady this term and a transfer is seemingly imminent.

“Leali is practically a Juventus player,” Iaconi told Reggione Pallone when questioned on the 19-year-old’s future.

“At the end of the current campaign we will make his transfer to the Bianconeri official.”

Leali, an Italian under-19 international, was handed some games in Serie B this term before Alessandro Calori came in as boss.

Once the latter arrived at the Stadio Rigamonti in December, the young custodian saw the gloves transferred to the more experienced Michele Arcari.

Leali is seen by some as a natural replacement for Gigi Buffon, currently 34, when he eventually ends his career in Turin.

The teenager has also been linked with Napoli, Sporting Lisbon, Manchester City and Barcelona in the past.

Would probably be some sort of deal that would leave him at Pescara for another season, though.

Kid's meant to be a Juve fan, so that can't hurt Juve's chances of getting him.

An ass whooping of this magnitude can only make you more depressed knowing this team could've been +6-9goal points ahead of first place if they won the games they could've won. Im surprised they came out like that. Chiellinis demeanor last week in an interview echoed "forfeit" because Milan were too good. In fact, I think Milan exceeded expectations. I didn't think Ibra would've carried them up to this point.
