Yeh I like Blogistuta's stuff, but that piece was a bit taxing on the oul brain cells. Basically, we're extremely susceptible to counter-attacks and we haven't quite got the players to fit in this LE-obsessed system. Neither of which is likely to change without some dramatic overhauls.

We need defenders who can actually defend. Juan and Heinze are constantly swamped in counter attacks, even with DDR's help, mainly because the full backs do fuck all defending. I admire Taddei's work ethic, but I think it's pretty obvious at this stage that's he's not a defender. I suppose Burdisso's injury and Kjaer's shitness were hard to predict, but given the amount of new players we've seen, a serious defender or two more would have been a big help.

I miss Panucci, and seeing him on Sky Sports every weekend only rubs salt in the wound.
