Lazio should actually concern Roma less than a lot of teams.

They don't have the pace in their team - other than Lulic - to score the sort of counter attack goals that Roma seem to have conceded zillions of this season.

Lazio, unless Roma do something incredibly stupid, will need to actually work the ball forward, which should give Roma more chance to recover their defensive shape, unlike when teams have the pace to break Roma's defensively line near the halfway line and head straight for goal.

Still, they are a good team and Reja will always line his team up in a sensible fashion.

Yeh I was thinking that alright when I was looking at their predicted line-up. They aren't set up to be counter-attacking. Klose isn't that type of player (and was also an injury concern i think) and Hernanes doesn't do things at pace, he's like to get the ball at his feet and settle himself. They're also missing Konko and Radu who are full-backs who like to get forward. Still, the way we've defended at times this season, a team of elephants could counter against us and we'd still struggle to get back and catch them.

Yeh defo, forzaitalia, not only are pride and bragging rights on the line with this Derby but perhaps more importantly any chance of catching up to that third spot in the table. , even if he said its not the be all and end all:

LE also thinks we can still finish third, as he said in his this morning, a win and we're only four points from that forth spot (not counting Udinese's weekend result). Like you said though, forzaitalia, confidence surrounding this team isn't exactly sky high at the moment and even if we do win the Derby it wouldn't really be surprising if we then went on to lose to Novara or Lecce or something. For me there's still simply too many tactical faults in the defensive aspect of this system to be able to build any sort of run and make a real push for that third spot.

Think it's just the way the fixtures are. If it was a security thing, I'd imagine they'd put it as the midday game. It'll be bedlam no matter what they do, so they prob just don't bother.

It's his missus who's having the BBQ really, and he is a Roma fan, but a casual one. He's from Zagreb, so his main interest is Dynamo. As for the juicers, I haven't been near a bar in days, so that I'm in fine fettle come Sunday afternoon. I'll be all over that beer bar I brought you to, Edzo. Borghetti? Urghh, never really developed a taste for that shit. With beer so easily available in and around the Olimpico i 'spose there was no need to either. Yeh that little beer bar is a good spot alight (what was it called again?), although if I were you I'd be getting into the stadio extra early (gates open at 12.30) to swamp beers and soak up the atmosphere in the ground. Fuck this, I'm checking if there's any flights.
