Classy move on Milan's part to accuse one of their legendary players of elbowing someone - which he clearly didn't do - in order to put pressure on the authorities to only punish one of Muntari and Mexes.

Anf the authorites, of course, were too weak to ignore Milan's ploy.

who gives a feck that Matri was onside. going in at at 2-0 at HT is a big boost to anyside who says we wouldn't have scored another and made it 3-0 come the time Matri scored? the fact is we were matching you quite easily with let's be honest a second string team.

Milan were the better team in the first half and no-one could have argued if they'd gone in two up.

Juve's change to 4-3-3 at halftime and Milan retreating allowed Juve to force themselves back into the game in the second half and they were worth winning that half by at least one goal.

I agree that it's a different game if Muntari's 'goal' is given, so you won't see me making any arguments about the decisions evening out.

All I will say about the other mistakes in the game is that is shows the standard of officiating in the game was poor in general.

to me it looked like pirlo did elbow van bommel, but the ref saw it and didn't call the foul so you can't do much more than that.

i was about to rant on how allegri's tactics of sitting deeper in the second half were stupid when i realized that the only midfielder we had on the bench was ambrosini.

our squad is too fucking thin with these injuries. we're still getting shafted left right and center.

I bet ya if ye do 'dump' Pato in the summer, its bound to be for Tevez. Purely because he'll be the cheapest of the three. Even if Balotelli whinges about wanting to return to Italia Citeh are unlikely to let him leave as he clearly has his best years ahead of him, while Arsewipe are bound to demand a large treasure chest of gold for Van persie. Only the big two in Spain could afford him (assuming the Arsewipe won't let him join Citeh and insist he moves abroad). My guess would be Real as they're next 'galactico'.

His contract runs till 2013, I believe. Still plenty of time to sell him for as much as possible (if he doesn't extend, of course). Transfermarkt.de value him at €45, for what its worth.

Van Persie wants to wait until the summer when he can have a look around and assess his options.

With only a year left on his contract he'll be able to force a transfer.

Anyway, why would Milan sign another top level striker?

They should get a lesser forward and use the money from a Pato sale to upgrade some areas of their team where the need it (pretty much everywhere except CF and CB).

Yeh, good point red. Midfield is the area Milan need to improve, they have too many mediocre players there. If Pato is to be sold, they should use the money to buy someone like Hazard or Erickson (although he wants to join us).
