That's a load of shit. Juve were not going to come back down 2-0 with the way they were playing or have been playing all year. Terrible crosses in the box for the whole game, Borriello is horrible by himself let alone with Quags, the forwards had created garbage for 70 minutes and the defense couldn't stay on their feet. How do you defend a player if your feet aren't planted?? I don't know whether to credit Milan for playing well defensively or the Juve forwards were just shit. Sadly, Conte had to play the "hot hand" with Matri. Why Conte came out with Quags and Borriello is beyond me. Juve were lucky to walk away with points. Don't give me this Napoli game jargon either. It was a flash in the pan win. This Juve doesn't have the balls or the creativity to come back down 2 goals against that Milan defense. Who is to say Milan wouldn't have made it 5-0?? It could've been bad. You don't trust Bonucci in a 3 man defense? I don't trust him if he had 12 defenders next to him. He's find a way to fuck up a goal.

I don't think Milan would've sat back and defended a 2 goal lead that early in the game. They would've loved to hit Juve on the counter with them chasing 2 goals. It isn't like Milan to sit back and absorb the attack with a 2 goal lead. How many 2 goal leads have Milan thrown away this season. Combine that with the lack of offense from Juve during this torrid second half of the season and their ineffectiveness to have the will to win, of course I could say they couldn't come back. With Juve's recent performances you can't say they would've and I think it would be ridiculous to think there was a remote chance of coming back. The chances were very slim. Yes, there was plenty of time to come back into the game but did you see how poorly they played on both sides of the ball for 70 minutes?? It was as ugly as it could get. This team doesn't have it in them to break a tie game, let alone come back to steal one being 2 goals down. On that note, at least we aren't Roma or Inter

Platini: Buffon went overboard

Michel Platini has offered his two cents on the ongoing controversy surrounding Gianluigi Buffon’s post-Milan-Juventus comments.

After the top-of-the-table clash, which finished 1-1 but was overshadowed by the controversy of Sulley Muntari’s missed legitimate goal, Buffon said that even if he knew the ball had crossed the line, he would not have admitted so to the referee.

The Italy captain has been criticised for lacking responsibility in his choice of words and even as the goalkeeper and his national Coach Cesare Prandelli defended them on Monday morning, former Juve legend and current UEFA President Platini is the latest to suggest he was unwise.

“Buffon has gone too far with his words and between Turin and Milan there should not be war. If the referee had asked him and he had said ‘no’, then that would have figured him to be a liar.

“If I had scored a goal with my hand and the referee had asked me, I would have said I had scored it with my hand. [Diego] Maradona didn’t do it? No-one asked him.”

People need to lay off Gigi. A player's job is to play, the refs job is ref, and the footballing federation's job is to make sure that that is possible. It's not Buffon's responsibility to make calls against himself or his team just like it he doesn't have the right to do it against the other team. The refs are supposed to make that call. We have goal-line technology that we can introduce to our game, to take the pressure off players and refs but for some reason the governing bodies don't want to introduce it to our game.

If a player dived to earn a penalty, and the referee asked him if he dived, do you think the player would admit it?

Platini is an idiot if he thinks Buffon should of admitted the ball crossed the line in probably the most important game of the season. Yes, I think sportsmanship should be in sports, but there are some sports that just don't have it. By Platini's standards, Mexes should of went up to the referee and said he punched Boriello. Bagg is right, Referee's make mistakes and it's not the players job to correct them. If you want an honest game, implement the technology. Simple as that.

Frankly, I'm far from convinced Buffon would have been certain the ball was over the line. He'll certainly have suspected it, but that isn't enough to make a decision on.

And you can't expect players to make a call on such matters.

It's not like diving or deleiberate handball where a player is going to know exactly what has happned.

We should all be thankful to witness a phenom like DelPierl. A player of his caliber is only witnessed once every few generations. Nobody will replace this guy, be his heir or even come close. To nearly 2 decades of thrilling, magical moments, here's to you capitano!

My only regret is not having seen him play in a Juve jersey. I saw him play in the world cup against Australia (not his best game), but never for Juve. I'm going to start looking for tix to Italy. Anyone here ever go to Torino to watch a game? Is it hard to get tickets with all the security checks they have for people to even get a ticket? Last I heard you have to be registered in their system and what not. I know there are some ROma fans that have gone to games, maybe one of you guys can give me some info...?

Ay, its handy enough to get tickets for Roma matches. The Olimpico is rarely sold-out except for the big games so thats not an issue for us, but with your smaller stadio it may be a problem. As Red said the tessera del tifoso thingy is only for travelling away fans and doesn't apply to foreigners, and the only thing you need to buy a ticket in Rome is a passport. I've also bought from listicket and it was fairly straightforward.

A true fucking legend. I seen him when he came to Toronto with the team and I'll never forget it. I can only hope he comes to NA so I can see him close out his career. It's going to be weird next year without tender Alex in the squad.

Bagg, not to shit on your parade or anything, but even if you go to a game who's to say he's going to start or even play? It would suck to spend that money and not get to see him on the pitch.
