De Ceglie better replace Esti in the starting 11 from now on. I think the 3-5-2 is here to stay.

I don't get the idea of Juve being conservative.

In most games they create plenty of chances.

They just don't take as many of those chances as they should.

Estigarribia's decision making is poor.

De Ceglie takes decision making out of the equation by just looking to get a cross in every time he gets the ball - which is a perfectly fine thing to do, particularly when you are as good a crosser as De Ceglie.

Yup.

Juve have done it well at times this season (against Roma in the Coppa comes to mind), but it is something I'd do more often, especially when playing 3-5-2.

I think as a coach you always have to give priority to functionality over creativity, especially with Juve given the last few years. We had Diego, Giovinco, Nedved, Camoranesi...etc on our team, some of the most creative players out there. But we didn't get results. I know we're all sick of hearing it (especially Dino), but we're in a rebuilding period. The goal at the beginning of this season was a CL spot. We're well on our way to that. Anything more than that )i.e. Scudetto, Coppa Italia) is extra. We've made incredible progress in just one year. Now that we have depth, hopefully we can focus our summer market on adding some more quality to this team.

I think someone already posted that article. Not that Im sick of it Bagg but this team is better than how they play. We have seen what they're capable of doing and how they play. I can't accept these results when they are much better than these teams they draw. Yes, I know they wont win 36 games like in a row but they've made me believe. They had a decent shot a few years ago but they just collapsed. This team isn't magical, miraculous or dramatic but they can win. It makes watching games terrible but the game is decided within the first 60. What gives?? No goals from your 15 mil striker and that waste of money Vuc up front. They're good players but no 15 million, sorry. I can take positives but they're in first place!!! Come on man cut the jugular and kill this shit. They had their shot now its gonna be a nail biter from here on. You can't do that brotha, you can't let it slip when it is in your hands.

Yep, you're absolutely right red. I'm assuming they can win the postponed match but they must first beat Milan, a game I would've wanted to see but won't be able to catch. I'm irritated at the fact that after everything that went their way a few rounds ago they really had a chance to break away. It's frustrating to see it slip away like that and worst of all a CL spot isn't even a lock at this point.

TK is probably flipping out about now with that Nocerino goal. I don't think we all watch the same games here. Juve have put in the worst crosses I've ever seen all season long. They're usually bad but this is beyond terrible. It was only a matter of time teams would figure out Juves forwards can't score. Juve are going to limp their way into May, they'll be lucky to finish top 3. They've done nothing offensively and I would hate to see them in the CL with this front line. Juve had their chance and they blew it.

If Allegri had any class whatsoever he'd shut his fucking mouth. For weeks now everyone has been telling Juve to be quiet and stop complaining. What a fucking hypocrite. First they tell Juve to shut up about two clear penalties, that would've meant 4 more points for Juve in the standings, then they complain about a "falsified result". Muntari's header was a goal and Matri 's first goal was onside. Now pray what you preach and stfu.

Interesting game.

Allegri made a good call in playing what was almost 4-3-3 in the first half. That makes Conte, having chosen to play 3-5-2, to either lose width on one or boths sides of the pitch or leave the defence to play three on three. He chose to play three on three and so Juve were continually at full stretch.

The goal was just an individual error, but the systems caused Juve to be pinned back in their own half and allowed Milan to contol the game, with Juve being fortunate to only be one goal down at half time.

Conte then goes to 4-3-3, which allows Juve to up the tempo, force Milan back and create a two v one situations on the flanks on both sides, which was what caused the goal. Milan went back to their more orthodox 4-3-1-2 system, but I don't understand them not marking Pirlo with Emanuelson once they go to that shape.

I thought Milan surrendered territory too readily and ought to have changed to 4-4-1-1 when Ambrosini came on, which would have allowed them to close the space on the flanks better than they could with 4-3-1-2.

Good result for Juve, but very lucky.

And the officials had a nightmare.

The Milan goal not given (which was by far the biggest error), the Mexes punch on Borriello and the Matri disallowed goal were all big calls and were all called wrong.

And I agree about ditching the 3-5-2, Bagg.

I don't like the system at all.

It's one thing to play that sort of formation when you have the players for it like Napoli do, but I don't see why Juve should consider it - other than when they feel the need to match up to opposition such as Napoli or Udinese.

Other than Chiellini, it doesn't suit any of Juve's important players as much as 4-3-3 does.

Hopefully Pepe's return to fitness will see a return to the high tempo 4-3-3 system of earlier in the season.

It's a shame a game like this is surrounded by so much controversy. In a perfect world had the referee's made the correct decisions who's to say Juve wouldn't of come back down 2? Especially if you factor in the red card Mexes should of received for the Boriello punch, like red mentioned. It all evened out in the end.

I absolutely hate this 3-5-2, we don't even have the proper wing backs to play it. Bonucci in the middle of a 3 man defense makes me nervous as well. He makes so many stupid mistakes each game to play there. Having said that, I wouldn't even start him in the 4-3-3. I'd much rather DC at LB with Chiellini - Barzagli in the middle. I was a little disappointed Conte started the formation he did. But he got it right in the second half.

I missed this Mexes punch on Borriello. I don't recall the incident were it happened, either, when was it during the game? Any videos?

Speaking of controversy, how about the Juve 'fans' blasting into a chant of 'Milan Milan vanfanculo' before the minutes silence/applause was finished for the Italian soldiers killed in Afghanistan? Classy, that.

The punch was off the ball early in the second half. There was nothing going on at all and Mexes just decided to give Borriello a thump in the side.
