Not a particularly good postponement for Roma, even if it does give De Rossi time to recover.

Hmm haven't seen the forecast but maybe its meant to get worse? Thought they would have waited till tomorrow before making a decision (its not like there'd be any inter fans there anyway). I earlier today they have some sort of "anti-frost" machinery and a canvas to cover the pitch to help the surface. Guess it didn't help much.

Anyway, its for Sunday at 15.00 CET. At least until its called off again tomorrow. Catania-Roma will also be played on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

ALEMANNO SU ROMA-INTER – Intervenuto ai microfoni di RadioRadio il sindaco di Roma Gianni Alemanno ha comunicato gli sviluppi sulla data del rinvio di Roma-Inter: “Il Prefetto di Roma d’accordo con la Lega ha decisio di far giocare Roma-Inter domenica alle ore 15“. Secondo le previsioni infatti “stanotte è prevista una forte nevicata, con grossi problemi stradali per domani mattina, mentre da domani sera è prevista pioggia e quindi domenica la neve sarà tutta sciolta. La prossima settimana, però, ci sarà il problema ghiaccio e quindi stiamo mettendo in atto piani di emergenza“.

This explains it a bit better. Its meant to snow heavily in Rome tonight and then rain is expected tomorrow evening, so its expected the snow will clear by Sunday afternoon.

Does the Olimpico have undersoil heating?

Anyway, after the snow and the rain, the game will be off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Not sure if it has undersoil heating, if I had to guess I'd say no. Anyway latest reports are that its looking like it will be on tomorrow at 3pm:

(redazione ForzaRoma.info) Questa mattina anche Trigoria è innevata. Il Centro sportivo che ieri non era stato toccato dal maltempo, questa mattina è coperto dalla neve.

La squadra dovrebbe allenarsi nel pomeriggio e gli operai sono al lavoro per togliere la neve. Per la partita di domani, invece, al momento non ci sono cambiamenti di programma. Già ieri un sopralluogo allo stadio Olimpico aveva dato esito positivo ed il rinvio è stato ordinato dal Prefetto solo per problemi di viabilità, per la difficolta da parte dei tifosi di raggiungere l’impianto.

Le previsioni metereologiche dicono che per domani mattina la neve nella capitale si scioglierà e quindi Roma-Inter potrà disputarsi alle ore 15 senza troppi problemi.

(redazione ForzaRoma.info) Non si tratta di copiarsi il compito uno con l’altro, è che oggi la formazione della Roma sembra essere più scontata del solito. Pochissimi dubbi, anzi quasi nessuno. E allora i quotidiani presi in esame sono tutti d’accordo nel prevedere lo stesso undici che Luis Enrique manderà in campo contro l’Inter. Solo Il Tempo azzarda un Josè Angel dal primo minuto. Vuoi vedere che il tecnico asturiano li sorprenderà ancora?

Great all-round performance today. We looked liked we were really enjoying our football, and its just great to watch when the boys play like this. We did look a little shaky in the first-half before we added the much-needed second and allowed Inter back in to it a bit, with Gago in particular looking a little unsure of himself and making a few dodgy passes, but we regrouped well and put them away. Borini offers something different with running in behind, and also great to see Bojan finally finding the net. It was also great to see another Romanista in Piscitella getting a run out, he looked sharp and gave a good cross of Bojans goal. Juan was back to his best at the back and DDR, well, was just superb as always.
