Good to see Borini start and not Bojan just cos he needs the feckin confidence. Borini is playing better. Also bit of a surprise to see Angel ahead of Taddei.

Well, quite the display. Regardless of how well we may have strung a few passes together, and regardless of how much possesso paella we had, you can't win football matches if you can't defend. It is a simple game, sometimes. Pity no one told LE.

But don't worry, according to our resident Roma guru, "our defending has been just fine in the second-half, Cagliari were just excellent on the counter". Words of fucking wisdom.

I thought the third Cagliari goal was well-taken and that the team played quite well in the second half. Apologies if you didn't see it that way. I didn't really follow the first half as I was reading. I'm sorry you're so hostile to my venturing an opinion on what I was watching.

I didn't see the game, only Cagliari's two last goals when RAI broke into the broadcast game to show them.

So, we didn't sign any defenders in the transfer window????? What were they thinking?

I think DDR plays cb at times. I do not see Gago slot into that "back three" slot like DDR but I haven't really been looking for it.

Gagos TO definitely started the counter, but teams turn the ball over. It shouldn't lead to such Shambolic defending.

All the goals looked the same to me frankly and are due to an unbalanced side. A manager who is asking players at the back to play in a way that doesn't suit their attributes.

The last goal was lazy on everyone's part.

Ha, this suits me perfectly. I have to go to a birthday party for the bird's sister on Saturday night so I was going to miss the game, much to my dismay, but now I'll be able to watch. Nice.

Three weekend Serie A kick-offs moved


The Lega Serie A has moved Roma-Inter, Milan-Napoli and Cesena-Catania this weekend to 3pm Italian time in a bid to avoid losing them to the weather. The three fixtures were originally all scheduled as Week 22’s evening kick-offs but will now all be played in the middle of the afternoon. Cesena-Catania and Roma-Inter will still both be played on Saturday, whilst Milan-Napoli will happen on Sunday afternoon as part of the main block of weekend games. President Maurizio Beretta has taken the action to move the three fixtures having seen the midweek round of games hit by four postponements as heavy snow and freezing conditions took hold of the country. Adriano Galliani had earlier requested that Milan’s home fixture with Napoli be rearranged due to the potentially dangerously low temperatures that fans will have had to watch it in at the original time of 8.45pm local time.

I'd expect ESPN to keep their current schedule and show a re-run of Roma-Inter in the evening slot.

Afterall, one could hardly expect them to abandon their coverage of tennis from Montpellier in the afternoon.
