No doubt Ranieri must be happy with the sale of Motta even though he begged for him to not be sold. /sarcasm.
I think from memory after the Lecce match he (Ranieri) said that Motta will be with us until the end of the season, somebody was feeding him some bull to keep him happy. Pretty disgraceful acts from up top within our club. WTF is going on??? Explains probably why Motta was not pleading to stay and didn't mind either way.
Also @Shield, we all know that technically Sneijder is a great midfielder, but he now has developed such a shitty attitude that us Interisti here would probably be happy to see some money made from his sale in rebuilding our team.
Also Muntari's loan to AC was carried out as well. He'll be there for the rest of the season and hopefully after that.

What's up with this Miccoli guy. Where does he find the form to play against Inter like this every single time. And he happens to this only against Inter. I don't think he was in exceptional form coming into this match but I have to say the first and third goals were quite brilliant.

I feel a little sorry for Milito. Scoring 4 goals and not ending up on the winning side.

Thiago Motta 'unmotivated' at Inter

Thiago Motta’s agent reveals why he demanded a January transfer to PSG. “He could no longer find the motivation” to play for Inter.

“It was a chaotic few days, because everything changed so quickly,” Alessandro Canovi told RadioCalciomercato.

“I was in Paris to discuss a June transfer, then it all accelerated when it became clear Inter were ready to sell him immediately.

“Massimo Moratti and Marco Branca understood the player’s state of mind, as he could no longer find the motivation to play with the Nerazzurri until June. Staying to the end of the season would’ve been a difficult situation.

“Claudio Ranieri wanted him to stay, because there are few players like Thiago Motta and it’s only normal a Coach would not be eager to let him go.”

Canovi also confirmed there was a “very soft interest from Manchester City.”

Sneijder and Alvarez out for Inter

Inter have named a 20-man squad for Saturday’s Roma game – but Wesley Sneijder and Ricky Alvarez are missing.

The duo won’t take part in tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A tie, but boss Claudio Ranieri hopes to have them back for next weekend’s home game against Novara.

“Fortunately all of the tests have come back negative which is good news as we were worried about Sneijder,” the tactician stated.

“However, he won’t be available for tomorrow, but I expect he will be at my disposal for the tie against Novara.

“As for Alvarez, he’s struggling with a knee problem. It’s not quite right at the minute and it is a little swollen.

“He’s picked up a slight twist somewhere, but, like Sneijder, he should be OK for the weekend after.”

Tomorrow’s tie in the capital has been brought forward to a 3pm local time kick-off because of the bad weather in Italy.

As I was saying early, I wonder how long it'll take for the Inter fans to get tired of poor old Claudio's negative tactics (if not already)? Completely shown up today. What are the chances he'll still be at Inter next season?

Change of management won't do sheet. The only person who may save us from this mess would be Mourinho and tbh I don't think he'd be able to do it as he needs money to spend.
I really like what Ranieri has done. Sure our results haven't been consistent but with the squad we have now, management selling players left right and centre, he has the balls to say Sneijder you don't fit in with what formation has given us decent results and gave Milito a chance and look how he has repaid him. Sure it took a while but he is our best player atm.
Maybe Ranieri is one of the cheapest options out there and we may see him here for next season as well? Let's hope he can weave some magic to get us to third...

To me it's pretty obvious that this management has lost it's desire not only to win, but to at least try to please it's followers. We have been waiting for more than 2 years to see a decent player come over, to see someone who could shed a little ray of faith for the future, but instead we see our most important men leave one by one, until nobody's left. The players themselves have understood that there is no future here and Thiago Motta's departure to PSG is a clear sign. He'd rather go to PSG than stay at Inter..
Yesterday Zamparini announced that the Arabs will take over Palermo and will become extremely competitive. What would you guys chose, Moratti or a rich Arab? Given the current situation, they both dont give a flying shit about us fans, so at least I'd go for the richest bastard.

With the way things are going and with Moratti having won everything I wouldn't be suprised if it happened. Moratti would require a decent offer before he sells. I read somewhere that he was trying to clear as much of our debt as possible so his son can take over. It might have been here that I read it.

O and to answer your question, yes, I'd like our club to be taken over. Much like
Manciteh and PSG. What about the ffp rules though.

If the big clubs have found ways around the ffp, maybe Moratti is using this as an excuse not to spend money.

A new stadium would be nice and the only real excuse for not challenging for the title in any season.
