I'd have to agree that so far this team has exceeded expectations and a point vs Roma isn't something to complain about. They've made up for their draws by beating some big name clubs in return. You wish they beat some of those teams they drew but let's hope they take care of that during the second half of the season.

JI, instead of watching the U-10s play, why don't you watch the senior team??

Great opportunity for Juve to possibly separate themselves from some teams this week. I would rather have Lazio win today then Udinese. Udinese seems to be tougher to beat this season and more likely to put a string of wins together. Lazio to me aren't a threat and ill eventually come down to reality soon.

Extremely wasteful performance from Juve, which meant it took about an hour too long to put the game to bed, and also gave Novara the belief to play during the middle part of the game.

Midfield looked very open and exposed with Giaccherini in there instead of Vidal.

The Waterboy offers nothing.

Juve have been going away from the game plan the past few games. Poor passing and movement off the ball, along with some poor decision making up top, particularly from Matri and Pepe.

What a debacle of a game offensively from Juve. Matri offered nothing going forward. He put himself in position to make a play but creativity was asking a lot from a striker. Quagliarella wouldve been a better choice or shouldve came in sooner. How many times was Pepe open to make a pass? They consistently lost possession all game . I say if Vucinic plays, Juve could've scored a goal or two. Defensively they held up, Ill take the tie vs Udinese but enough of these ties. Juve need to start winning games in the second half of the season especially against smaller clubs. If you told me at the start of the season Juve would be joint 1st place, I would've laughed. Again, Juve have exceeded expectations but let's not get lazy. The second half of the season is where Juve rend to fall off.

I agree...you guys summed it up....constantly losing possession and poor decision making offensively.
Matri had a bad game, and yes Quagliarella should have come in earlier, he had a few good chances.
Too many guys trying to make solo runs or do things on their own....use your team...

I thought Juve were decent enough in the first half and ought to have got a goal from that decent play. Udinese were trying to press quite high up which was leaving space in other areas and Juve were doing a pretty good job of exploiting that space.

I agree with what has been said with regard to the second half, when Udinese dropped off a bit and Juve found it tougher.

Still don't like 3-5-2. Juve don't really understand how to move in that system - which contributes to individuals trying to do too much rather than relying on good movement to open teams up, which Juve are much more inclined to do when playing their usual 4-3-3.

Thought that was one of the best games Bonucci has played for Juve.

I also agree on the coach's post game interview. Matri did do well in open space but once the ball was at his feet he didn't know what to do with it. You would've liked a young playmaker with vision to come on and create through passes for the forwards, if there was any in this game. Seemed like Juve were playing with 5 midfielders at times. Terrible game from Pirlo andand Marchisio. Credit to the defense on playing superbly. Again, this was a game Juve could've won with a little creativity up front. A few times Juve caught them on a break only to have the attack broken down by themselves for letting it build up slowly. Another note, Roma beat Bologna. Didn't Juve tie this team? Too many draws let 1st place slip away. I believe Juve see Udinese again in Jan in a must win game. Every game in the first two months is a must win.

Not the greatest of performances today. Lecce was unlucky not to tie. That being said we played subpar and still came away with a win. Plus we're coming off few weeks of break, so it forgivable as long we follow this with a better performance against Cagliari at home.

Marco Borriello has given his first press conference as a Juventus player, claiming he is honoured to be at the club. The striker completed his loan switch from Roma last week, with the Bianconeri paying €500,000 for the loan. The option price to make the deal permanent in June has been set at €8m.

Juve fans in Lecce unfurled a banner on Sunday which read ‘Borriello: Mercenary without honour or dignity’ after his failed summer switch from Milan last season, but the player insists he did not refuse a move.

“I am happy and honoured to have the opportunity to move to Juve. The banner made me sad as I have great respect for Juventus fans. I have never refused Juventus and will not enter into controversy. Being here is hugely inspiring.

“I want to once again reassure the fans that I never refused a move to Juve. It wasn't me who chose to go to Roma; it was Milan because they wanted a permanent transfer for me.”

Borriello declared his intention is to make the move permanent, insisting he is ready to fight for a place in the team even after struggling for playing time in the capital under Luis Enrique.

“I want to gain everybody’s trust and stay here at Juventus for as long as possible. I want to acquire the Juve mentality as soon as possible. Conte hasn't had tactical discussions with me, just motivational ones.

“I want to show Roma they were wrong to let me go. I've always bettered myself. Genoa, Milan, Roma, Juventus are all big teams so I've had competition, but am no primadonna. I've physically recovered, no later than tomorrow I will join the team. I was a little unlucky in my career, I have more to give.”
