The Brazilian stated that he felt that some stars could move abroad and others would be put off playing in Serie A if trouble continued.

That outburst led to speculation that he was considering his own future in Italy amid continuing rumours that Real Madrid and Barça are interested in him.

"I have never said that I want to leave Italy," he explained. I simply said that the spiral of violence could see some important players leaving.

"After calciopoli some players did leave Italy. I, on the other hand, have a long contract with Milan, which runs until 2011, and I am not the least bit ungrateful."

Some critics have also labelled Kaká as ungrateful for attacking Italian football after he has made his name and a generous living and that has hurt him.

"I am surprised," he continued. They have labelled me as ungrateful, but I could not be more grateful to Italian football and Milan.

"If I win the Ballon d'Or then I will use it to thank both Italy and AC Milan.

"I only wanted to send a warning as I was trying to help the football in which I play.

"I was not being critical. It is just that with all the violence, there is a risk that it could affect the decision of players who are considering whether to come to play in Italy."

im starting worry about gourcuff now.

i think its pretty obvious that carlo doesnt trust him enough to be a game changer.

thats a damn shame... he'll probably leave for loan in december, the leave for good in the summer where he'll rot in some lower league team...

in addition to fullbacks, i think we need another midfielder who can make things happen, a la kaka' and seedorf. not so expensive though, maybe a youngster, who wouldnt mind riding the pine for most games, but a significant game winner.

still, props to carlo today, did really well in spreading cagliari in the second half with the wing backs, we were overrunning them down the flanks when we switched to the wider formation.

I agree that our midfield needs an addition in January, due to 2 factors one is Emerson's fucking injuries and the second is that Gourcuff has disappointed, no matter how much we are mystified why a midget like Brocchi eats up so many minutes, Gorky has been either invisible, ineffective, or coming too late to make an impact in 90% of his rather not so many minutes. So unfortunately it seems he set for a loan either in January or June. We need a midfielder in the mould of Ambrosini, a good ballwinner who has some technique as well to contribute. In some ways, Pato's imminent availability will free us a midfielder as Seedorf-Kaka combo becomes used less, so that helps as well

I have a feeling the juve-milan game will either be a draw or juve will blow milan out of the water. I'm kind of leaning towards a 6-0 thrashing.

6-0 for Juve is indeed quite a distinct possibility...specially given the proven winners in your European Champions squad, compared our rather half-average Serie B Champions team
