Mauro Zarate’s days at Inter look to be numbered, with reports indicating that the club are not interested in making permanent his loan deal.
The Argentine joined the Nerazzurri on an initial loan agreement with a non-compulsory agreed reported fee of €17m put in place to make the player’s move permanent, should Inter wish to.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport are one of a number of outlets in the peninsula speculating that Massimo Moratti’s club are not going to pursue that option. Reports are citing that Inter are unimpressed with his form to date.
Ranieri commented recently that the player needs a ‘chip inserted into the brain’ so as to bypass an issue of failing to stick to instructions on the pitch, whilst it is notable that Zarate has been substituted at half-time in each of his last three League starts for the club, whilst he only made the bench for the team’s last four Serie A matches of 2011.
May 2012 be another great year for our beloved team. Things are not looking that promising at the moment, but, we' re making up for the lost ground and we're still in the Champions League ... so you never know
Yeah Happy New year to all, regardless of what happens to Inter.
Indeed things are not looking so great unless we finally get some players who are actually functional to this club. How long has it been since we actually bought a 'starter' for this team?? Anyway, no rants from me today...it's still the festive season and I'm still trying to recover from hangover..
Internacional defender Juan Jesus has confirmed he “should be in Italy on January 7 or 8. I just have to sign” for Inter. The 20-year-old Brazilian has been in negotiations for several weeks and looks set to be their first major reinforcement of the transfer window.
“I think I should be in Italy on January 7 or 8,” Juan Guilhermo Nunes Jesus told FCInter1908.it.
“Is it all done? I just have to sign and be given my official presentation to the media.”
Juan is a centre-back who has already won the Under-20 World Cup and Under-20 South American Cup with Brazil in 2011.
I think we are being linked with all the wrong players. The two names repeatedly being mentioned are Lucas and Tevez. They may be very good players in their own right but we don't need either of them at the moment. Lucas is a CAM, where is he going to play with Sneijder in the side. We also have Coutinho and Alvarez as back ups. Tevez is going to be super costly and unless we send Zarate back, I don't see the point in buying him.
We need a winger if we are to continue with 4-4-2 formation and also a CM. Since we signed Kucka in the summer all the talk has been about him arriving in January and now we might end up getting him only next summer. The past 2-3 transfer markets have been so haphazard and without any particular targets in mind.
Inter have officially loaned young defender Luca Caldirola to Serie B side Brescia for the rest of the season.
The stopper, who’ll turn 21 in February, grew up in the club’s youth system and is part-owned with Cesena.
He appeared in December’s Champions League tie against CSKA Moscow, but he has yet to appear in Serie A for the Beneamata.
Caldirola is an Italian Under-21 international who has also played for the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 national teams.

Douglas Maicon will not be leaving Inter for Paris Saint-Germain. “He’s already at a big club.”
Reports were suggesting that Maicon had become the latest Serie A based player to be targeted by PSG director Leonardo, a man who bossed the full-back at San Siro last season.
However, his representative has made it quite clear that the former Monaco man is happy at the Stadio Meazza.
“I want to assure all of the Nerazzurri fans,” Roberto Calenda told Sky Sport Italia after whispers of a €15m bid.
“Maicon is and will continue to be an Inter player as he wants to win more honours in this jersey,” he continued.
“I can categorically exclude any transfer negotiations with any clubs, there is no contact with Paris SG or with anyone else.
“I can understand that Maicon is a player who is wanted by some very big teams, but he’s already at a great club.
“He’s happy at Inter and he wants this marriage to continue.”
Inter Milan began 2012 with a bang as they thrashed Parma 5-0 in their Serie A clash at the Stadio San Siro. Diego Milito scored twice and Thiago Motta was also on target as Inter laid the foundations for victory with one of their best halves of the season.
Giampaolo Pazzini and Marco Faraoni struck after the break to seal an impressive win which sends the Nerazzurri to within three points of the top three ahead of Sunday's remaining fixtures.
Milito was the hosts' main threat in the penalty area, but the architect of the performance was Ricardo Alvarez.
From the moment he dragged the ball past a defender with the studs of his boot with his first touch he appeared to have a new air of confidence about him, and it did not take long for him to create the opening goal.
His perfect cross to the near post was guided home with the outside of his right boot by Milito.
In the 18th minute, Milito's shot was blocked and the ball fell out to Motta, whose volley from 20 yards flew past Antonio Mirante to make it 2-0.
Sebastian Giovinco was Parma's only threat and his header wide in the 20th minute was followed by two trademark free-kicks which Julio Cesar had to be alert to keep out.
Inter's third came in the 41st minute with Maicon lifting the ball into the area for Milito to head in unchallenged from eight yards for his sixth goal of the season.
There was no let-up from Inter in the second half and Pazzini made it four 10 minutes in when he latched on to Milito's pass, despite a hint of offside, and lifted the ball over the onrushing Mirante.
It was clearly not Parma's night as they had a goal disallowed when Javier Zanetti put through his own net, but the offside flag was raised against the nearest Parma striker.
Five minutes later, Inter substitute Faraoni sealed the win with a dipping shot from 20 yards out which grazed the underside of the crossbar on its way in.
Alvarez and Milito both left the field as boss Claudio Ranieri withdrew the pair in the final 10 minutes, affording them a standing ovation, as Inter got their title challenge back on track.
great win against parma but.... we will be back to earth next game ,i hate to say it but i feel the derby is another story.the way alvarez play we should sell sneider(is head to much swallen and unmotivated), and get some decent midfielder or winger
Lovely cross by Alvarez and sweet goal by Faraoni. Looks like Milito was running the show. Briz, it would be great to get a decent amount of money in a sale of Sneijder but Alvarez is too young for us to rely on him week in week out. In saying that, Sneijder has been missing for the most part of this season.
sneijder is not what use to be is head got bigger and he like night clubs and dont give a shit about inter .most time injuryied and have no motivation alvarez could be our future and cutinjo can be is sub. at the moment dont let alvarez play be a silly thing to do. let the young develop.
I don't think Sneijder is going anywhere because of his wages. Alvarez is good but even in yesterday's match he went missing after 60 mins. I think it will be wrong to give him all the creative responsibility at this point, he is developing well so let him do so at his own pace. I still don't think he will be in the same class as Sneijder is.
what sneijder ben doing this year? and he is not going to do anything in the future . young players only grow by playng sitting around is not doing any good let alvarez play in his favorite position and play is natural gamethe rest come by it self
Don't get us wrong Briz. We'd love to see Sneijder sold for a decent sum of cash - (PSG) could be our new favorites with their willingness to spend spend spend Constantly playing Alvarez and relying on him can be detrimental. Some young players can't handle the pressure that is relied on them and can end up killing their career. I like thought of having Alvarez/Coutinho as our play makers with Sneijder's huge wage figures a thing of the past but I don't see management taking the risk. In saying that, with our current leaders wanting to cut the wages of the team, if a decent offer were to come up and Alvarez/Coutinho continue to do well, we may see the back of Sneijder.
Massimo Moratti confirms Inter are trying to sign Carlos Tevez • Internazionale looking to beat Milan to striker's signature • Reports claim they initially want loan deal with Manchester City
The Internazionale president, Massimo Moratti, has confirmed the club are keen to sign Carlos Tevez. The Nerazzurri are looking to beat their city rivals Milan in the race to acquire the Manchester City striker in the current transfer window.
When asked about his club's interest in Tevez, Moratti told the club's official website: "If you do something you don't do it as a joke, but because you think it can be a good operation.
"We've acquired information on how things are going, there's room to act, we'll see if we can do it or not. There are still three weeks left. It's not about being optimistic but rather seeing how things are."
Reports in Italy claim Inter are willing to sign the 27-year-old Argentina international on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy him in the summer for €27m (£22.3m). It is believed Tevez prefers a move to Milan.
Tevez, who returned to Argentina in November without City's permission and is yet to report back to training, is under contract in Manchester until June 2014.
The City manager Roberto Mancini reiterated his desire for a speedy conclusion to the Tevez saga. "I hope there will be a good result for him in January because he has not played for three months," he said on Tuesday.
In the empty corridors of the San Siro, many have often claimed to come across a strange silhouette of a man walking along with his hands crossed over his head. Recently however, these sightings have reportedly decreased as Inter are finally coming to terms with the departure of the man who led them to the top of the world - Jose Mourinho.
With the Milan derby on the horizon, the hyperbole and the excitement are peaking as is usually the case, but for the Nerazzurri this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina could serve as an exorcism of the ghost of a glorious past. Since Mourinho left Inter, the blue and the black half of Milan has been waiting for a chance to enjoy the local bragging rights over their cugini having been beaten thrice in official games. Last season for the first time in five years, the Rossoneri finished above their city rivals en route to their 18th Scudetto which is incidentally the same number as Inter’s (including the disputed 2006 title).
This round 18 clash will be the latest the two teams have ever met in the league, and Moratti’s side would celebrate a win against the leaders Milan on more levels than one. In a way this is almost a déjà vu from last year, when a reinvigorated Nerazzurri were on the tear leading into the derby. They had the possibility of overtaking their rivals for the lead having clawed back a 13-point gap, but just 20 seconds into the game Pato dashed their hopes. What followed was a mini-collapse as the team succumbed to Schalke in horrific manner, were eliminated from the Champions League and lost to Parma before steadying their ship. Such is the nature of a derby loss.
Claudio Ranieri knows this. Since he arrived at Inter, the one thing he has changed more than anything else has been consigning the team’s achievements to the past. All of last year even when Inter were struggling, the official line out of Appiano Gentile would always be: ‘This is the same team who won everything last year’. Such a mentality held the club back from adapting to life sans Mourinho, and the Tinkerman has come closest to reshaping this team in a mould that he can truly call his own. The 5-0 win over Parma at the weekend, was their biggest win since clobbering Genoa at the Marassi by the same scoreline during the 2009/10 season. It was also their fifth win in a row, another achievement they last completed under Mourinho.
The derby will indeed be a great test for Inter as Milan not only go into this game as the leaders and the favourites but also as the ‘home’ team. Both teams have been doing well lately, with the Rossoneri winning six of their last eight games and conceding only twice in the process. The Nerazzurri are not far behind, having won seven of their last eight games and have let in one more than their cousins. While the goals-for column is definitely in favour of Milan, Inter have scored nine in their last two games and more importantly their strikers have gotten back on the scoresheet. Diego Milito’s contributions in the thrashing of the Gialloblu were particularly noteworthy, as the Argentine performed at a level last seen during the Mourinho era. Ranieri has a good record against the Rossoneri having won three and lost just one of his previous seven games against them.
The returning Wesley Sneijder will provide yet another interesting twist to the drama. Many will recall that the Dutchman made his debut against the Rossoneri, making an immediate impact as Inter recorded a 4-0 victory. The pieces seem to be in place for the playmaker to complete a memorable second coming. And as if the derby needed any more plots, the saga surrounding Carlos Tevez only gets more interesting every day. Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has claimed that the club have reached a personal agreement with the player, and on Monday Sport Mediaset announced that Manchester City had accepted Inter’s €27million offer for the player. The 209th edition of the derby will mean a lot more to the Nerazzurri as a win may finally allow them to move on Mourinho and the tripletta.
Julio Cesar's is whopper, Ambrosini's looks like a transvestite (seriously), Aquilani's is fookin spectacularo, Boateng has a white chick?!, Sneijder could prob do better with all this dough, and wtf is up with the dogface on Ibra's ?
