AC Milan general spiel 2.0
You better beat them cnuts is right. Arsenal have had a pretty disastrous season but they're still quite dangerous, especially with their pace and youthful exuberance compared to Milan's old boys. Van Persie ain't doin half bad, either. Will be an interesting match-up but you should be able to come through. For the Serie A champions to be knocked out by the 'lessor' Premiershit sides two years running would be very bad showing, so yis better win.
The Tottenham tie last season, mainly the match at the San Siro, was weak from you guys. Milan's squad is better than Arsenal's, so let's hope Zlatan can perform and maybe Van Persie gets an injury that rules him out of both legs.
MILAN (AP)—AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano could return to training at the end of the month according to club owner Silvio Berlusconi.
The Italy striker is recovering from undergoing minor heart surgery at the beginning of November and is expected to miss most of the rest of the season’s matches.
Milan has been linked with Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez and Catania forward Maxi Lopez but Berlusconi says “the doctors haven’t ruled out the possibility Cassano could return to training at the end of the month.”
Cassano was hospitalized after falling ill on the team plane following Milan’s 3-2 victory at Roma on Oct. 29.
Before the illness Cassano and Giuseppe Rossi—who is recovering from knee surgery—were Italy’s first-choice strikers.
any thoughts from the weekend? average game imo, Pato was very unlucky to score and Boateng should be ashamed for diving, all he had to do was run into the keeper and he had the peno still or an open goal to tap into. If Ibra plays against Cagliari it will be his 250th game in Italy and his 25th goal for Milan if he scores.

Milan to meet Manchester City to discuss Carlos Tevez on Thursday • Milan want to take striker on loan with option to buy • City would prefer to sell Argentinian in January
The Milan vice-president, Adriano Galliani, says he will meet Manchester City on Thursday to discuss signing Carlos Tevez. Milan want to take the troubled forward on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move in the summer, though City would prefer to sell Tevez during the January transfer window.
In comments reported by the Italian news agency Ansa, Galliani said: "It's true I'm meeting them Thursday, but I don't think the deal will be concluded that day."
Galliani told Radio 1 Rai: "We're not going to take him outright: we're offering a free loan with the right to buy in June. The player wants to come to us and not PSG [Paris St-Germain] and we hope City accept the offer."
Galliani said signing Maxi López, currently at Catania, was a "standby" option if Milan are unable to agree terms with City for Tevez. Catania are expecting López to leave during the January transfer window; the club's general manager, Pietro Lo Monaco, on Monday said the club had received several offers for the Argentinian forward.
They both suck if u ask me, Abbiati is very good at reaction reflexes and can pull some great saves but he's capable of pulling some stupid howlers once in a while (and he's not good with his feet)..Amelia is the complete opposite, niether are 100% reliable and as much as Im not a fan of the Fascist, sadly he does look a little more secure overall than Amelia
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says he has promised Carlos Tevez that the Serie A champions will 'wait for him' until the end of the January transfer window. Tevez is expected to leave Manchester City next month after failing to feature for the club since the infamous UEFA Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich in September.
City have already rejected an offer from Milan to take Tevez on loan with a view to a permanent deal, with manager Roberto Mancini insisting on a New Year sale.
Milan held talks with their City counterparts on Thursday and the Italian giants were satisfied with the outcome of the discussions.
However, a deal has still to be agreed between the two clubs and the Rossoneri were linked with a move to sign Tevez's fellow Argentine striker Maxi Lopez from Catania as a back-up.
Tough
Galliani has now ruled out a deal for Lopez after reiterating that Milan are willing to wait until the final day of the transfer window to agree a deal for Tevez.
"Will Tevez be a Christmas present for the fans? It's tough in a period of economic difficulty, but we will try to keep the supporters happy," told Sky Sport Italia.
"Maxi Lopez? Catania have been very kind and open, but I made a promise to Carlitos that we'll wait for him until January 31.
"If Tevez does not arrive, then we will stay as we are."
Meanwhile, veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi has been tipped to leave Milan in January and Galliani concedes he could move on.
"Pippo's dream is to set the record for European goals," added Galliani. "He'll try to achieve that either with Milan or another club in the Europa League."
Pato: No dialogue with Allegri By Football Italia staff
Alexandre Pato has made some strange comments on life at Milan under Massimiliano Allegri amid reports linking the striker with a move away.
Speaking to Il Corriere dello Sport and Il Corriere della Sera, the Brazilian striker discussed a number of topics, from captaining Milan to his relationship with Coach Allegri. However, he began by focusing on how the calendar year has progressed from a personal point of view.
“My 2011 was a very good year - I won my first trophy in Europe, I scored some important goals. It would be a year to remember if I had not had so many injuries.”
The 22-year-old has suffered eight injuries over the course of the past 12 months.
“Every time I have tried a different method to try to find a solution. I’ve never been afraid, even after the injury in September. I thought, ‘I will return slowly, only when I am 100 per cent’.
“I’ve always done double training sessions, arriving at Milanello early each morning. I have worked more and more to return better than before each time.”
Pato was pricklier with the follow-up question that suggested his form since returning from his latest injury has not been better.
“I have scored two goals in three games. At Bologna I did not play well but then neither did the rest of the team. It is said that you win and lose together, no?
“We always talk about me because I am an important player for Milan.”
The No 7, who joined Il Diavolo in January 2008 for a reported €24m, was then asked about his relationship with his Coaches. Where he described Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo as his ‘godfathers’, he was less-than-forthcoming with compliments for Allegri.
“Carlo always spoke to me, told me what to do on the field. If I have to improve [now] then [Allegri] has to recommend how. Champions must always move forward, they are expected to be the best.
“Every now and then Allegri will explain something to me, but a Coach should always suggest to his players how to correct defects.
“I would like to have a more direct relationship with Allegri, I won’t say much more. If he thinks it is right to criticise me then I have to keep my head down and work. I have to respect what the Coach says.
“The fact remains, however, that if he has noticed something wrong with my game then he would be better to come directly to me so we can discuss it together.”
Pato was then asked of Allegri’s comments that he had to get used to the position of striker again after previous Coach Leonardo had used him out wide on occasion.
“Even in the national team I played as a striker and I don’t think I did badly.”
In late November, Milan’s League win over Chievo was notable for Thiago Silva’s selection as captain, even though Pato was thought to be in line for the armband, according to Italian football tradition.
“The truth was, until I arrived in the changing room, I was convinced that the rule of seniority would see Milan assign the band to me.
“It did not turn out so, but I was not disappointed because in the end it ended up on the arm of a friend and a teammate.
“I did not [ask for an explanation], these are the decisions of [Adriano] Galliani and Allegri.”
Pato's comments come on the same day that he is being linked with moves to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. The London side, who the Rossoneri face in the Champions League in a couple of months, are reportedly monitoring Pato’s situation in Milan and are even prepared to make a €28m bid for the youngster.
Competition, according to Mediaset, comes from PSG and Pato’s ‘godfathers’ Ancelotti and Leonardo, who have been given a €20m budget to try to tempt Galliani with. ----------------------
pretty intense and honest interview by potato. he really does look lost when hes on the pitch in the past year and a half. allegri needs to do more to bring the best out of him, we all know what hes capable of.
All he's capable off is playing 1 explosive game in a month or 2 and then sucking it up for the rest for time (assuming he's not injured). People will point out to the myth of 1 goal every 2 games but the choker has always padded his stats with 1-2 good showings in a while but doing nothing in between. I have more respect for Ibra, who chokes in Europe, but is a true difference maker in Serie A at least, he delivers there. Pato delivers nowhere cos he's either busy sucking or injured.
The Pato under Allegri is the same as the Pato under Ancelotti and the same as the Pato under the Rat (aka Leornardo)
He's the same usual lazy prick and I think all of us agree he is not developing, he has little footballing IQ or tactical awareness, and can be easily marked out by a good defence. A coach can only do so much to help a player, Great players work on their games and improve. At the end of the day, he's been tried in different roles upfront under different coaches and the only asset he posses, his pace, will soon be gone once he ages (also, all the hamstring injuries etc will take their toll too). Milan should sell his ass as I've always maintained. It's not a good time to do it in January, we barely have enough strikers for Europe, but in the summer for sure, I think Milan intend on doing just that once we get Tevez which would be the right thing to do for our future in Europe. It's frustrating to see him waste his potential like that but after 4 years now I don't have much hope, I think we need to find the right suckers who overpay for him then we're gonna be set in our summer mercato
tevez for pato will be an upgrade for us. as much as i loved the legend of what pato could've been, he no longer seems to possess the drive to be a better player. that kid has so much talent, but without the hard work and the will to succeed, he's fallen off the radar like a typical brazilian. if we could get 20m for him now, it would be a steal.
i dislike tevez, but he will bring more to the team than what pato does, so it's hard to disagree with these moves.
