We dominated the possession, as should be expected of this team when we're playing a relegation fighting team, but we were wasteful up top. Pazienza showed he's capable of backing up any of our CM's, and his passing (when compared to Sissoko/Nocerino/Melo) wasn't that bad either, although he's no Pirlo. A brilliant move by Marchisio won us the game, although Vidal should get credit for the pass, and Pepe should get credit for a nice backheel that started the play.

I have to say, I was pretty concerned when I say the Waterboy go down. At first I didn't realize he got hit in the face, I thought he hurt his knee. Thankfully he only got a cut/10 stitches. Just felt bad that he got hurt after getting subbed in relatively early in the match. Hopefully he'll get some minutes against Roma next week.

I didn't realize that we play Bologna this thursday in a one-leg coppa Italia match. It would be nice to see Conte make some changes in the squad, but I wouldn't blame him if he kept it more or less the same. It's one leg, plus it's a competition we should be trying to win. I'd try to give Krasic, De Ceglie, and Quags some minutes in this game though, not to mention start Storari.

Cooch is out for 20 days. I can deal being without Pirlo but that's worse. Juve will suffer unless the legend himself steps up....it is the capitanos time to shine. Would love it if he scored a goal against Roma.

Will be interesting to see what Conte does without Vucinic.

Will Quagliarella or Giaccherini just step in and play a similar role, or will the system be adjusted for The Waterboy or for Krasic or Elia?

I'd probably just give Quagliarella the chance to take on Vucinic's role.

Yeah, the first choice is a straight swap for Quags, but I would be suprised to see conter start using the 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 again, with The Waterboy up top and Karsic and Elia on the wings. In fact he should probably give it a go againt Bologna at some point during the match, just to see how it goes.

Every chance of it being 4-4-2 in the Coppa, because of the number of wingers looking for playing time.

I'd be very surprised if Conte stopped play a three-man midfield in the league, though. It's been working well and none of Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal deserve to be dropped.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that Juve are suddenly able to play fast, aggressive football now that The Waterboy doesn't play.

Quite happy for him to play in the Coppa Italia and maybe get a goal or two before he leaves Juve.

Just don't see any role for him in the team on a week to week basis, aside from the odd sub appearance.

It would be a sad day folks but he's given nothing to the team lately. I say give him a great goodbye party, huge feast, top notch youtube video and send him over here to NY. That would be the last of a generation of players that only come around once every 20-30 years. That type of player comes around once in a generation. A classy player, on and off the field. Farewell, capitano!

A big change for once when it comes to the Coppa. I haven't seen a coach put in mostly subs for these types of games. Even Capello put out his starters. Judging from that starting 11, that team should be able to beat Bologna or even win this competition. It would also give Conte a chance to see what other players could give. This is their chance to break into the team.

Meant to be a couple of German teams interested. They were obviously so impressed with Molinaro that they think another terrible Juve fullback is just what's required.
