FT: Mainz 3-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich slipped to their 2nd defeat in a row and are now 3rd in the table following defeat to Mainz. Andreas Ivanschitz opened the scroing 10 minutes in after he rounded Manuel Neuer. Ivanschitz should have made it 2 minutes alter but he volleyed over the bar. Bayern equalised just before the hour following a Toni Kroos freekick which was headed home by Daniel van Buyten via a deflection. With 25 to go, Marco Caligiuri put Mainz back in front with a 25 yard drive. Niko Bungert headed home a corner with 15 to go to make it 3-1. Van Buten got his second of the game minutes later diverting home another Kroos freekick but Mainz held on for the victory which moves them out of the relegation zone.

FT: Twente 0-0 Vitesse Arnhem

Twente have slipped 7 points behind AZ Alkmaar following the stalemate with Vitesse. Vitesse had the first notable chance 20 minutes in when Wilfried Bony took advantage of a poor backpass but Nikolay Mihaylov stood strong to deny him. The notable chance for Twente came from Nacer Chadli midway through the second half but Piet Velthuizen popped up with a superb save.

FT: Milan 4-0 Chievo

Milan thrashed Chievo to move to within 1 point of Juventus. A minute had not surpassed and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had already had a shot clip off the crossbar. Thiago Silva opened the scoring 8 minutes in with a 20 yard drive. Ibrahimovic made it 2 10 minutes later with a dipping shot over Stefano Sorrentino. Alexandre Pato made it 3 just past ther half hour after an Alberto Aquilani shot deflected off Luciano into the path of Pato to score. Just before the break, Luciano conceded a penalty after bringing down Pato and Ibrahimovic converted. Ibrahimovic should have got his hat trick seconds into the 2nd half but he sent his shot wide with only Sorrentino to beat.

FT: Marseille 3-0 Paris St Germain

Marseille thumped Paris St Germain who now are 3 points behind Montpellier at the top. Loic Remy put Marseille ahead after 10 minutes when he nodded home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, Stephane M'Bia had a glorious chance to make it 2-0 but he sent his effort high and wide. with 25 to go, Morgan Amalfitano burst into the area and placed a shot across Salvatore Sirigu to make it 2-0. With 5 to go, Andre Ayew managed to squeeze a header past Sirigu to make it 3-0.

Sevilla have moved upto 5th after victory over Zaragoza at La Romareda. Zaragoza remain 19th. The winning goal came midway through the first half after David Mateos brought down Alvaro Negredo who then stepped up to convert the penalty. Zaragoza finished the match with 10 men when Juan Carlos swung an arm out at Coke.

FT: Barcelona 4-0 Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou to reduce the gap to 3 points to Real Madrid. Rayo had their chances early on with Alejandro Arribas going close midway through the first half with a speculative effort. However, on the half hour, the deadlock was broken. Andres Iniesta played the ball to Alexis Sachez who then curled the ball past David Cobeno. 5 minutes before the break, Good buildup play from Xavi and Lionel Messi resulted in the ball going to Sanchez to easily convert his second. 2 minutes later, it was 3-0. Dani Alves beat the offside trap and unselfishly squared the ball for David Villa to finish. 5 minutes into the 2nd, Messi asdvanced into the box from the right to make it 4-0. There were few chances after that with the most notable being a David Villa lob that just went over.

FT: Napoli 3-3 Juventus

Juventus came from 3-1 down to claim a draw, remain top and remain undefeated. The first chance of the game came from Andrea Pirlo freekick 10 minutes in which went over. 3 minutes later, Napoli were awarded a penalty. Marek Hamsik converted the first but it was retaken due to an infringement and Hamsik spurned the retaken penalty over the bar. However, 10 minutes later, Napoli were 1-0 up after a freekick swung in was not cleared and Marek Hamsik was on hand to nod the ball past Gianluigi Buffon. 5 minutes before the break, it was 2-0. Andrea Pirlo's attempted clearance ricochected into the path of Goran Pandev who had the simple task of placing the ball past Buffon. In the 2nd, it took 2 minutes for Juve to pull a goal back. Arturo Vidal picked out the unmarked ALessandro Matri to stroke the ball home past Morgan De Sanctis. However, with 25 to go, Napoli restored their two goal advantage. A cross found Goran Pandev who set himself up to volley the ball past Buffon. However, 5 minutes later, Juve pulled another goal back. A Mirko Vucinic cross was flicked on to Marcelo Estigarribia to control and prod the ball past De Sanctis. With 10 to go, Walter Gargano lost the ball in the middle which led to Simone Pepe breaking forward going on a mazy run, attempted a pass but luckily the ball ricocheted off the defender back into his path to find the bottom corner to rescue a point for Juve.

FT: Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Hoffenheim

Bayer Leverkusen remain 6th despite victory over Hoffenheim who have slipped to 10th. The deadlock was broken after 10 minutes when an Andre Schurrle shot was not held by Tom Starke and Eren Derdiyok nodded home the rebound. Schurrle should have had a penalty midway through the half when he was brought down by Marvin Compper but the referee waved play on. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, Stefan Kiessling was put through but he could not beat Starke. Sidney Sam rounded off the victory with 10 to go after Kiesling laid the ball to Sam to lift the ball over Starke.

FT: Genoa 0-2 Milan

Milan have moved to the top of the table after victory at Genoa. The game was halted early on after tear gas made its way into the stadium but play resumed ater 10 minutes. On the half hour mark, Antonio Nocerino found himself in a good position and his shot on the turn went narrowly wide. Minutes later, Miguel Veloso saw a freekick tipped over by Marco Amelia. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, Kakha Kaladze brought down Zlatan Ibrahimovic conceding a penalty and was also shown a second yellow. Ibrahimovic got up to convert the penalty past Sebastian Frey. With less than 20 to go, an Alexander Merkel cross was backheeled by Marco Rossi which went wide of the post. However, with 10 to go, Antonio Nocerino simply tapped home a Kevin-Prince Boateng cross to round off the victory.

FT: Bayern Munich 4-1 Werder Bremen

Bayern Munich returned to the top of the table after a convincing victory at home against Werder Bremen. Bayern broke the deadlock 20 minutes in after a David Alaba diagonal ball found Franck RIbery to stream past Clemens Fritz and fire the ball off the post and in. Bremen equalised 5 minutes in when Claudio Pizarro picked out Markus Rosenberg who raced ppast Holger Badstuber and dispatched the ball past Manuel Neuer. With 20, Andreas Wolf conceded a penalty when he brought down Ribery and Arjen Robben converted the penalty. Ribery made it 3-1 after a fast break saw Mario Gomez round Sebastian Mielitz and Ribery slotted the loose ball home from close range. With 10 to go, Bremen were reduced to 10 after a bad challenge from Aarn Hunt on Toni Kroos. Minutes later, Sokratis Papastathopolous brought down Ribery for a second penalty which Robben again converted.

FT: Sporting Gijon 0-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid recorded their 10th league win in a row and remain top with victory over Sporting Gijon at El Molinon. Cristiano Ronaldo had two good chances in the opening 25 but drilled his shot over on each occasion. With 10 to go in the first half, the deadlock was broken. Angel Di Maria took advantage of a defensive lapse to slot the ball in from a tight angle. A minute later, Miguel tested Iker Casillas. Just before the hour mark, Roberto Canella whipped in a freekick which Alberto Botia somehow headed wide from six yards. Ronaldo did make it 2-0 with 25 to go after he latched onto a Di Maria through ball and Ronaldo rounded Juan Pablo and tucked the ball into the empty net. Sporting were denied a penalty with 20 to go when Gaston Sangoy was brought down after pressure from Pepe and Sergio Ramos. Minutes later, Gonzalo Higuain was denied superbly by Juan Pablo. In injury time, Karim Benzema picked out Marcelo to fire the third past Juan Pablo.

FT: Stuttgart 2-2 Cologne

Stuttgart and Cologne ended all square which was the fifth draw in the Bundesliga today. 10 minutes in, Michael Rensing could not hold onto a Tamas Hajnal shot and Martin Harnik converted the rebound. However, Harnik was adjudged offside. 5 minutes later, Maza Rodriguez brought down Slawomir Peszko conceding a penalty which Lukas Podolski converted. On the half hour, Christian Gentner nodded home a Hajnal corner for the equaliser. 5 minutes later, Gentner made it 2-1 after firing the loose ball past Rensing. With 2 to go, Podolski popped up to race past Maza and slot the ball low past Sven Ulreich.

FT: Barcelona 5-0 Levante

Barcelona thrashed Levante at Camp Nou ahead of El Clasico next weekend. It took 4 minutes for the first goal after Cesc Fabregas planted a shot from the edge of the box past Gustavo Munua. With 10 to go, Fabregas nodded home a Xavi freekick for 2-0. Minutes later, Isaac Cuenca curled the ball home from just inside the box to make it 3-0. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, Dani Alves did well advancing forward and he picked out Lionel Messi to make it 4-0. 5 minutes later, it was 5 after an Alexis Sanchez chip took a deflection off Sergio Ballesteros and looped over Munua.

FT: Inter 0-1 Udinese

Udinese have moved level with Milan at the top after victory at Inter in a dramatic affair. After a lacklustre first half and opening 20 minutes of the 2nd half, 20 minutes before time, Mauricio Isla was through but instead of shooting, he chose to pass the ball to Antonio Di Natale who was offside and it seemed like Udinese spurned their best chance. However, 5 minutes later, Di Natale beat the offside trap, sqaured the ball to Antonio Floro Flores who then duly teed up Mauricio Isla down the right to slot the ball across Julio Cesar to break the deadlock. With 5 to go, Javier Zanetti was shown a second yellow after he brought down Kwadwo Asamoah conceding a penalty. Di Natale stepped up but his tame penalty was saved by Julio Cesar. However a minute later, Damiano Ferronetti went in dangerously on Diego Milito conceding a penalty. Giampaolo Pazzini stepped up but he slipped and sent the ball over the bar. It was 10 v 10 in injury time when Ferronetti was shown a second yellow for arguing with the referee. Udinese held on for the win.

FT: Nice 2-0 Rennes

Nice claimed their third win of the season with a surprising win at home to Rennes. As a result of the defeat, Rennes missed out on 3rd while Nice remain in the drop zone despite the three points. 13 minutes in, Anthony Mounier went close for Nice when his effort cannoned off the bar. Minutes later, Benoit Costil brought down Abraham Guie Guie and Luciano Monzon stepped up to convert the penalty.David Hellebuyck went close before the half hour to extending the lead but his shot brushed the post. With 10 to go, Renato Civelli powered home a Fabrice Abriel corner to double the lead. With 20 to go, Guie Guie missed a golden opportunity to extend the lead.

Roberto Soldado came off the bench to secure Valencia victory over Espanyol at the Mestalla. 5 minutes in, Didac brought down Angel Dealbert conceding a penalty which Tino Costa fired home. With 20 to go, a Thievy low cross was dummied by Rui Fonte for Hector Moreno to tap in the equaliser. With 10 to go, Soldado scored the winner by nodding home a Tino Costa corner.

FT: Catania 0-1 Cagliari

Cagliari managed to get their first win in 8 games at the Angelo Massimino. Sergio Almiron went close for Catania 10 minutes in but the best chance fell to Cagliari 5 minutes before the break when a Victor Ibarbo shot hit the legs of Mariano Andujar and Francesco Lodi had to get back to clear the ball off the line. With 25 to go, Ibarbo scored a stunning goal. With the ball going out, Ibarbo managed to keep the ball in play catching out Nicola Legrottaglie, Ibarbo went past Nicolas Spolli, cut past Andujar and stroked the ball into the unguarded net. With 12 to go, Ibarbo set up Thiago Ribeiro in a good position but Ribeiro slipped when preparing to shoot.

FT: Feyenoord 2-0 PSV Eindhoven

Feyenoord claimed all three points at De Kuip with victory over PSV Eindhoven moving level on points with 4th placed Ajax.The deadlock was broken 5 minutes before the break after good play from Sekou Cisse and John Guidetti resulted in Cisse sweeping the ball through the legs of Andreas Isaksson. Feyenoord made it 2 5 minutes into the 2nd half after Ruben Schaken advanced into the box and tucked the ball past Isaksson to claim the three points.
