FT: Cologne 0-3 Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach moved to the top of the table with an ephatic victory away to Cologne in the local derby. Mike Hanke opened the scoring 20 minutes in when a Patrick Herrmann pass somehow found its way to Hanke to stroke the ball home from 12 yards. It was 2-0 on the half hour with a sweetly struck freekick from 30 yards by Juan Arango. Lukas Podolski tested Marc Andre Ter Stegen minutes later. 2 minutes int othe 2nd half, Hanke wrapped the game up after a Havard Nordtveit shot was parried by Michael Rensing into the path of Hanke. Talisman Marco Reus went close to making it 4-0 with 15 to go but he was denied by a fine save from Rensing.

FT: Udinese 2-0 Roma

Udinese moved back up to the top of the table with victory over Roma at the Friuli. After an average first half, Daniele De Rossi tested Samir Handanovic in the opening minute of the 2nd half. Mintues later, Erik Lamela had a shot blocked from a promising position. With 10 to go, Antonio Di Natale raced clear of SImon Kjaer who pulled up and Di Natale fireed the ball into the top corner to open the scoring. Mauricio Isla made it 2-0 with a mintue go after good work from Pablo Armero to get away from Rodrigo Taddei and into the area.

FT: Real Madrid 4-1 Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid remain top of the table after a thumping victory over Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Surprisingly, Atleti took the lead after 15 minutes. Diego played a great pass for Adrian to fire past Iker Casillas. However, 10 minutes later, Real were awarded a penalty after Thibaut Courtois was sent off for bringing down Karim Benzema. Cristiano Ronaldo dispatched the penalty past replacement goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, Angel Di Maria fired home a Cristiano Ronaldo cutback.Gonzalo Higuain made it 3-1 with 25 to go after he took advantage of poor Atleti defending. With 10 to go, Diego Godin was sent off for bringing down Higuain in the box and Ronaldo converted his 2nd penalty of the game.

FT: Lazio 0-1 Juventus

Juventus remain unbeaten and go a point clear at the top following victory over Lazio at the Olimpico. Claudio Marchisio went close 10 minutes in when he nodded over a Stephan Lichtsteiner cross. Juve took the lead 10 minutes before the break after a quick counter resulted in Alessandro Matri crossing the ball for Simone Pepe to fire home from 12 yards. Lazio pressed forward in the 2nd half with Hernanes having a shot from a promising position blocked by Lichtsteiner and then having an effort come back off the post. Emanuele GIaccherini did have the chance to extend the lead with 15 to go but Federico Marchetti denied him with a great save.

FT: Rubin Kazan 2-0 Dinamo Moscow

Rubin Kazan have won their 3rd game in a row and moved upto 5th with victory over Dinamo Moscow. Roman Eremenko and Gokdeniz Karadeniz got both goals in the first 25 minutes. THey did finish the game with 10 men when Salvatore Bocchetti was shown straight red with 10 to go.

FT: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Schalke

Borussia Dortmund have moved to the top of the Bundesliga for the time being following victory in the Ruhr derby. 10 minutes in, Lucas Barrios was played through and he got away from Lars Unnerstall but the Schalke defence managed to get back and the opportunity was squandered. However, 5 minutes later, Marcel Schmelzer whipped in a freekick which Robert Lewandowski headed home despite Unnerstall's best efforts to keep it out. On the half hour mark, Mario Gotze had a shot blocked by Unnerstall and Joel Matip had to clear before Barrios pounced. Felipe Santana doubled the lead on the hour mark. A corner whipped in was headed across goal by Mats Hummels which was met by Barrios at point blank but Unnerstall prduced a wonderful save but Santana powered home the rebound.

FT: Getafe 1-0 Barcelona

Barcelona are now 6 points behind Real Madrid after a shock defeat away to Getafe. Barcelona dominated the game but couldnt take their chances. Barcelona came close to breaking the deadlock 10 minutes before the break after good play from Dani Alves saw him cut the ball back for an Alexis Sanchez shot which was superbly saved by Miguel Moya. Getafe scored the winner with 25 to go when a Pablo Sarabia corner was headed home by Juan Valera. Barca pushed forward for the equaliser and came close in the dying seconds but Lionel Messi saw his shot rebound back off the post.

FT: Lille 2-0 Brest

Lille have moved upto 3rd after a routine victory over Brest. Lille took the lead 10 minutes in when Tulio De Melo played Dimitri Payet through to fire the ball into the top corner. It was 2-0 with 2 to go when Eden Hazard combined with Florent Balmont to cross the ball for Moussa Sow to volley home.

FT: PSV Eindhoven 6-1 Groningen

PSV have cut the gap to AZ Alkmaar to three points with a thumping victory over Groningen. PSV were 3-0 up at the rbeak with goals coming from Kevin Strootman, Dries Mertens and Zakaria Labyad. Georginio WIjnaldum made it 4 minutes into the 2nd half before Nicklas Pedersen got on the scoresheet for the away side. Tim Matavz and Ola Toivonen scored the other two late on.

FT: Zenit St Petersburg 2-1 Lokomotiv Moscow

Zenit have returned to winning ways after two successive draws to beat Lokomotiv Moscow with Lokomotiv falling to sixth 12 points behind the leaders Zenit. Zenit broke the deadlock 25 minutes in through Danny and 5 minutes later, Sergey Semak made it 2. Lokomotiv did pull a goal back before the break through Denis Glushakov but Zenit managed to hold on for the victory.

FT: Siena 0-1 Inter

Inter gained an important three points two minutes from time away to Siena. Inter had the first notable chance 10 minutes when a Dejan Stankovic strike was blocked by Zeljko Brkic. With 25 to go, Franco Brienza had a great opportunity for Siena but he sent his shot wide. With 2 to go, Thiago Motta played the ball to Luc Castaignos to turn and shoot into the bottom corner netting the winner. Siena finished with 10 men when Brienza was shown a second yellow for kicking the corner flag away.

FT: Werder Bremen 2-0 Stuttgart

Werder Bremen returned to winning ways with victory over Stuttgart this afternoon. With the victory, Werder Bremen have moved upto 4th with 26 points while Stuttgart remain on 21. Werder Bremen dominated the first half with Stuttgart having Sven Ulreich to thank after he denied Marko Arnautovic on two 1-on-1 situations. Stuttgart did have an opportunity before the breaking with Tamas Hajnal testing Tim Wiese. Werder took the lead just before the hour when Clemens Fritz fed the through ball to Aaron Hunt to go past Khalid Boulahrouz and dispatch the ball through the legs of Ulreich. Naldo made it 2 with 20 to go with a fantastic freekick. Sandro Wagner had the chance to make it 3 with 10 to go but he sent his header wide from a couple of yards out.

Ahahaha Barcelona lost. Barcelona lost. That seems weird typing that. Like its not meant to be. Good for Getafe. Its still a two-horse league, though.

Watch bits of Dortmund's win over Schalke, they are playing some good stuff at the moment and have some great young players to watch. Mario Gotze is quality (rumours that Arsenal want him, but I'd say its just BS).
